This was an off-train experience whilst travelling from Adealide to Darwin on the Ghan. It was great. The personnel were very talented, skill full and gentle with the animals. The show was very good fun especially when dogs were being given commands to round up goats. It was hilarious. The audience really enjoyed it

We went to see this show as part of the tour options available with our trip on The Ghan in March 2023, and we are so glad we did - it was the highlight of our whole trip! Great show with the animals, and the horse and dog training was amazing. Add to that Tom's country and western tunes, and it was a really enjoyable experience. So much so, we are heading out to East Gresford in Feb 24 to watch his touring show. If you live anywhere on the East Coast of Australia, you should be able to get to see one of the shows on his tour - "do yourself a favour" and get out there, you'll be glad you did!!

I had an absolute blast! Tom and the crew appeared to be thoroughly enjoying themselves as well. Tom's interactions with the crowd were outstanding, especially with the kids who were absolutely thrilled! If you have the opportunity to attend, I strongly encourage you to volunteer – they generously give away a multitude of prizes! Additionally, the merchandise tent offers reasonably priced items. I even got my stubby holder signed! I wholeheartedly recommend this experience; it truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime event. Tom's affection for all the animals, whom he considers his 'family,' is abundantly clear. They receive exceptional care and affection, and it's evident that they adore him in return.

It's been 6 months since we saw Tom's show, but it's still all our kids talk about. Tom has truly put together an amazing show, and it captures the outback spirit brilliantly. Traveling around Australia, we have listened to Tom's music pretty much every day ... there is something about it which just fits so well with the Australian scenery and travel. We can not recommend his show highly enough. Well done to all involved in creating this experience ... this show and music captures what it is like to live in the Australian outback.

This show was absolutely amazing! Tom is a brilliant entertainer and incredible horseman. All of the staff were great with the animals and the whole show was really enjoyable. It was a very hot day when we went but the seating area is well laid out and there were nice touches to help keep us cool. Wonderful memories of this outback town and the afternoon spent watching the talented people and animals. Also some of the money raised goes to a fantastic cause,

Had a great afternoon at the Outback Experience. Loved seeing the training that is involved with the horses and the dogs. Especially loved the new dogs who kept wanting to be involved..Yella up Also wanted to comment on the water, cold towels and icy poles that were offered. They were much appreciated. We are heading towards the east coast and hope we can catch Tom's songs and the whole gang on the road

This was a real country show and so informative. The relationship between the horses, working dogs and Tom was incredible. We were enthralled the whole time. The staff were so friendly and took so much trouble. Cold towels, water and icy poles. It is rare these days to experience such dedication to a experience. If you go to Katherine this is the number one on your agenda.

These guys and girls are amazing! Their attention to detail was so very refreshing! They make everyone feel comfortable and cooled down as much as possible. It is a hot hot place let’s not be silly about things but the team have done everything possible to make it as comfortable as possible. They have a large shaded arena for the actual performance but also have sprinklers going to limit the dust. The give you cushions to sit on to start off with, just to give your Toosh a bit of coosh. Next the staff come around with chilled cups of water at the start of the show. They then come around and collect the cups from you and give you a cool cloth to refresh you during the show. They invite the little kids to go over and help feed the animals keeping them entertained during some of the more technical part of the show. Parents loved it. After the intermission we moved over to the over arena and the staff came around with Icey poles. Not just for the kids but for the adults also. A bit on and the staff then come around to collect any and all rubbish and give us wet wipes to clean up the sticky mess of the icey poles. Let’s be honest no matter how old you are you always get a little bit sticky. It was 💯🔥 Loved every bit of detail they put into all of it! Nothing was not thought of here! I could not think of any way they could have improved! Well done to all the team! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a great working show for everyone young and old, a learning experience with plenty of animals as well as enjoying Tom's singing, on horseback even.

Absolute value for money. A wonderfully authentic show. Combining a great showman in Tom Curtain, fabulous staff, first class music, talented horses, ripper dogs, and an assorted array of farm animals. The attention to detail is phenomenal including wet towels to cool you down, chilled water and even an icy pole. Highly recommend!

I'm from the western USA and when I got to Katherine I was a bit put out. I kept telling my partner "This is a RURAL area. Where are the RANCHES, where are the ANIMALS, where are the COWBOYS?!" Well just follow the signs off the Stuart Hwy to the "Katherine Outback Experience" and you'll find it all there! Horse breaking demo, animal feeding, petting zoo, herding dog training, goat balancing act and more gives you a couple hour window into the life of Australian stockmen (and women!) who tell entertaining stories while working the animals. Tom plays his guitar at intervals and I loved the song he wrote about meeting his wife. It's not an over-produced and polished show like you would see in Vegas or at an arena, but rather a rough-and-tumble presentation of the skills needed for Australian waystation life. As more and more people move to cities, living farther away from nature and animals, this kind of experience is more important than ever, so Katherine Outback Experience is a great way to get back to that.
