This was a very enjoyable tour of the old city of Tzfat. Our guide, Rabbi Shmuel, was excellent and patient in explaining and my mother and I learned a lot about the history of Tzfat, the history of Kabbalah, and the history of Kabbalah in Tzfat. I really appreciated the Rabbi's knowledge and willingness to explain and answer all of our questions. My mother and I both left this tour with a deep appreciation for the place and the history of the place. Thank you Rabbi Shmuel!

Rabbi Kopel did an amazing job with this tour. He was very personal and down to earth and spoke to the level of knowledge of our family. He is extremely knowledgeable about the historic, spiritual, and religious aspects of the city. He did an amazing job of tying how the Kabalah in Judaism can be used in our lives. He also showed us some historically significant landmarks that are important for Judaism. I would highly recommend Rabbi Kopel if you want to learn about Tzfat, Judaism, and Kaballah.

Rabbi Kopel is eloquent and quietly impassioned as he guides you through the deep history of Sfat and Kabbalah. He stops to point out the spot where Kabbalat Shabbat service was conceived, and he talks at some length about the role of the Ari (Isaac Luria) in birthing Kabbalah -- "the wine of Torah," as the Rabbi explains. He is a terrific guide, generous with his knowledge and his time. There is no sense of hurry, and ample time to talk, to sit quietly in sacred spaces, and to reflect. We came away from this tour with a deeper feeling for the mystical dimensions of Judaism, as well as some specific knowledge. The feeling is, in truth, harder to communicate -- but this Rabbi knows exactly how. A delight!

The tour of Safed with Rabbi Kopel was a highlight in our trip to Israel. My husband and I were so touched by his generosity, passion and knowledge. The tour gives you a deep appreciation of the place, history and origins of the Kabbalah. He was very thoughtful in curating the tour to our interests and made an effort to get to know us - it was so special to have so much time with so learned, spiritual and open hearted. Can't recommended it enough!

Rabbi Kopel was generous with both his knowledge and his heart. We walked and I learned a lot about the key figures, landmarks and general concepts of Kabbalah (as much as one can in an hour or so). We also had a very exciting and animated conversation about Jewish spirituality. He’s a wonderful guy, and you’ll learn a lot in a short period of time.

If you came to Sefad to understand the place as the cradle of modern Kabbalah and you want to feel the holiness and uniqueness of the place, I can think of no better guide than Rabbi Kopel. He knows all about the buildings, the Torah scrolls, and the adornments of the synagogue buildings, but the real joy is learning about the lives of the great Kabbalists and scholars who elevated the city to historic status. His knowledge is deep and vast and based on personal experience. If you want to go the third step, past the historical, ask Rabbi Kopel about the essential teachings of Kabbalah. He is generous with his knowledge. Wear comfortable shoes.

I cannot recommend this tour enough. Every minute of the tour was valuable and meaningful! I truly gained a different understanding of what makes Tzfat a mystical city and felt a deeper connection to it at the end. Also, Rabbi Kaplan was careful to point out all those places we should go without him after the tour where we wouldn't need a guide and in doing so helped us not only to find other attractions in Tzfat but also to maximize the time of our tour.

We had a great time discoverable the history of Safed. The stones and bricks came alive as we explored 500 year old synagogues, visited the prayer houses of masters of mysticism and were introduced th fascinating stories and legends of the old city of Safed.

The Rabbi was very knowledgeable and provided interesting information regarding the story of how Tsfat is considered one of the 4 sacred cities. We visited several historic synagogues, and learned who the were the Rabbis that had prayed there. I highly recommend to book this tour.

My favourite part of the Kabbalah walk was the Kabbalah information share by Rabbi Kople as we visited the Kabbalah Quarter of the ancient city of Tzfat. The towering concepts were easily understood and they illuminated our minds and hearts. The $45 fee was tremendous value compared to the hundreds of dollars I’ve spent on Kabbalah books and classes. I would recommend this educational walk to anyone interested in Kabbalah history and Kabbalah inspiration.

Rabbi Shmuel skillfully assessed our family's background, interests, and questions. Throughout the tour he made sure to specifically highlight our personal connection points within the amazing Tzfat experience. Kabbalah is so tough to explain and even harder to make it meaningful in 90 minutes. This tour really delivered

Rabbi Kopel gave us a great tour of Tzfat. We went to ancient synagogues, including ones that most tours do not visit. He gave us detailed explanations about each synagogue, the sites in between visits and added in Kabbalah and Jewish wisdom facts. He also answered all of our questions in a thorough yet relatable manner- ask him your questions! I am really happy that we did this tour, it made our trip to Tzfat complete.
