Not worth it. There’s really not much to this tour at all. You go for lunch and then you leave. You might as well just have lunch on the ship if you’re cruising.

The food was delicious! The salmon chowder was amazing. The salmon was delicious and all the side dishes was super. Then the walk down to the water falls was wonderful memory.

After doing a whale watching tour in the morning we were shuttled by bus to the salmon bake. It was well organized and the food was very good. A nice walk up to a waterfall, fairly accessible and not too difficult. Some nice photo opportunities.

Food was good but disappointed no panning for gold available, limited areas to walk to. Cool to see the salmon pawning.

Wonderful service, scenery, food. Small hike to waterfall was beautiful. Salmon was amazing wow! Great ambiance & well worth the money. The hot honey glaze was awesome on the salmon.

This was a lovely outdoor venue with a few hundred people where they were cooking salmon on a huge grill and had a buffet of other items. They had music playing and it was nice. The food was not great (salmon had no seasoning at all but the other food on the buffet was fine. We didn’t expect it to be great when they’re feeding so many people and this was the third event on our excursion day. When we arrived at the Salmon Bake, our bus driver pointed to a spot across the parking lot and told us that there would be busses waiting there to take us back to the ship whenever we wanted to go. After an hour or so, we walked towards the parking lot. Another bus was pulling up as we were leaving and as we walked to the parking lot, the driver (Judson) bounded out of his bus and started screaming at us. He used the f-bomb every other word and screamed at us that we were trying to cut in line (what line?), calling us all kinds of names – completely out of control. He got back in his bus and closed the door. My friend knocked on the door and he started screaming the f bomb at the top of his lungs over and over. He then moved the bus to the parking area where he got out and started screaming at us again – telling us to “take a f*g cab” back to the ship. He was completely out of control and seriously out of line. My husband called the Salmon Bake and talked to who I think might have been the owner, Bridget, or at least the manager. She asked if we were still there, and that she would be right over to talk to us. She never came. When my husband tried to reach back out to her via text, she had blocked his number. It was an outrageous and completely unacceptable situation and I'm sure it doesn't happen to everyone, but I wouldn't want an employee like that representing my business. They didn't seem to care. I ended up giving two stars for the ambience of the location.

Salmon was excellent. Very fresh. The magic sauce is basically caramel, so its sort of a slamon sundae. THey also served ribs, some salads, etc. There is a very small amount of onsite parking if you want to drive.

Everything. There was nothing that the salmon bake left out. Unfortunately I didn't find any Gold. The staff was awesome 👌

We enjoyed a great salmon meal cooked over a wood fire, great sides, great seating, friendly staff, see spawning salmon and an abandoned gold mine. Oh and a water fall.

Such a relaxing, enchanting place! The food was incredible as were the salmon swimming in the creek and the waterfall! Panning for gold was a kick, and the staff were personable and professional! The music was so lovely- we stayed for 3+ hours!

We were not impressed with the Company that organized this trip. We arrived for 11:15 and were told that we were to leave at 11:30. Well we waited and with noone saying why we were not leaving, I wasnt impressed. I asked for a phone number to call someone and the young lady gave me her bosses cell number. I called twice and left messages snd she never called me back. We would have cancelled our trip and asked for our money back. Finally, a 1/2 hour later, a bus fit us in and took us there. The gold panning part was a joke and the food was okay. I will not be using Viator again as this left me with a very bad experience. I don't know if Alaska Tours is owned by you but they didn't represent you well that day. For almost $200.00 americab, I expected better. It wasn't worth it. I would still like to be reimbursed.

Excellent food, spectacular views and great people! A truly memorable experience! Well maintained and the layout is perfection.

Because of rain, our salmon bake & gold panning was cancelled. Should expect a refund I was told. Was disappointed, but we cannot control the weather.

and as a sort of picnic in a rainfall forest park the ambiance was wonderful. Being off ship and walking in a forest setting was unique and very pleasant on on-shore break. Would do it again in a heart beat.

I enjoyed the Salmon Bake immensely!!! It was one of the highlights of my trip. Right when the bus pulls up, the ambiance is quaint and beautiful. It’s in the forest with lights and tents and two roaring fires for roasting marshmallows. The salmon is the best salmon I’ve ever eaten and the glaze is amazing. All of the food was delicious and plentiful. We saw the salmon spawning in the roaring river. This is a great experience. I will go here every time I come to Juneau. Well worth the time and money. Even our bus driver was informative, fun and nice. Highly recommended!

Food was great, staff was more than accommodating. Got to one of the last rides back to the cruise ship and they made sure that we were taken care of.

What a wonderful place to visit. The Salmon was amazing cooked over the open fire served with delicious ribs and side salads. The place is spectacular beside a running creek with salmon spawning just underneath the amazing waterfall. Nice heaters and open fire to cook marshmallows on those cold days. Would highly recommend

Great food, fresh grilled salmon, ribs and all the sides. We did not leave hungry. Beautiful stream side location with a waterfall to boot!

This was our second time visiting. There is a lot of food. The salmon is very tasty, prepared on an open grill. Blueberry cake with powdered sugar frosting was disappointing as it was the only dessert offered. It is all serve yourself buffet style with alcohol for purchase. The grounds are beautiful to stroll. Many salmon spawning in the creek. Tourist come by the bus load!!

Salmon was great rest of the food was decent. One reason we planned this excursion was to do the advertised gold panning. They had no pay dirt the lady we asked about it handed us a rusted gold pan and said try the creek. No tools No instructions nothing just “try the creek and walked off.
