What an incredibly delightful experience with Chef Khadija!!! Her welcoming spirit and ready smile were the highlights of our experience but right next to it was the delectable delight of the food my wife and I were thrilled to help (careful with that word, she did all the hard work) prepare under the watchful eyes of one of the most gentle souls we've ever met. The main dishes prepared included Chicken Tajine and Batboute (which we helped mix and knead the old fashion way). Just before finishing preparing the food, Chef Khadija asked my wife if she wanted to wear a beautiful traditional dress to enjoy with the traditional dishes we were taught to make. Needless to say, my wife was made to feel and look like a Moroccan queen! Chef Khadija is such a precious and inviting person who exudes the grace and warmth of the beauty of the Moroccan people and culture. She made us feel like we weren't just guests but family members. If you're in Casablanca for a few days, take the train (or taxi) ride to the beautiful City of Rabad (about an hour away) and enjoy the hospitality of one of the most authentic and knowledgeable Moroccan chefs you'll ever meet. Doing so will help you learn the simple lesson that humans everywhere were designed by our Creator to live in peace around one of the most common things we all do -- break bread around a table from the bounty of the earth. This "tour" and cooking class is a MUST for anyone who wants to go beyond Casablanca to one of the most beautiful cities in Morocco (Rabat), learn to cook from a pro a quintessential Moroccan dish, and while doing so enjoy the company of the nicest chef (sorry, Chef Ramsay) you'll ever meet.

This cooking class was everything we wanted! Chef Khadija was very welcoming. We cooked chicken Tagine and Badboute bread. I also asked if it was possible to make Za'alook because I've really enjoyed it in Morocco and she was able to accommodate.

This was a great find. Chef Khadija's house was beautiful as was the neighborhood. We were greeted in true Moroccan fashion with mint tea and sweets. We then went to the kitchen and "helped" prepare our meals. Lots of cutting onions, garlic, peppers, etc and then adding spices to the tagine. We watched her make 2 different types of bread which were very tasty. As she prepared most of the food, chicken and vegetables, we watched how it was done so we could then do it ourselves when we came home. She encouraged us to take notes. She had Google translate which helped us with the many questions we had for her. Because of this great time, we purchased a tagine after we got home and can't wait to make our own meals. Come hungry.

We made rfissa in our class, and the end result was one of the top two meals I had while in Morocco. Chef Khadija knows her stuff. We had a classmate who spoke Arabic, so that was very helpful to communicate, but Chef Khadija would show us packages or translations on her phone also. Great class, and I would highly recommend.

Lovely host and the best tangible we’ve had in Morocco! Chef Khadija was funny, sweet & the best host. I loved that she made us laugh while having my husband do the hard work! :) We made chicken Tanjine, vegetables and bread it was better than the highly recommended restaurant we went to the night before. Highly recommend!!

Great experience! We have chosen lamb tajine and it was delicious! Khadija is a very skilled cook, wonderful and kind person and she even allowed us to choose the type of food we wanted to learn. She welcomed us in her house, borrowed some traditional Moroccan dress for taking pictures and served tea as a welcome drink. We could easily communicate even if she speaks no English and we do not speak French or Arabic. There are international tennants in her house, so it is also a place to meet people. The location is a bit far from the centre, but petit taxi can take you there for around 4 euro. Overall, we were very happy to have this experience.

If you want a fun activity to do in Rabat, I highly recommend this cooking experience! It was the highlight of our time in Rabat. Chef Khadija is such a lovely lady; I felt right at home with her and despite the language barrier, had the best 2.5 hours in her home! We made vegetable and beef couscous and it was phenomenal! Literally the best couscous of my life. I cannot say enough good things. She has so many years of professional experience and now she’s sharing her talents and culture with others. I wish her continued success, because she absolutely deserves it.

We booked for a cooking class with Chef Khadija yesterday afternoon. Initially, we were apprehensive as she spoke no English but with the aid of a few words of French, Google Translate and acting we were transported into the world of Moroccan spices and technique. We made a complex chicken tagine with accompaniments as well as traditional bread, all of which we got to savour. It was a wonderful, warm and fulfilling afternoon where we laughed and enjoyed ourselves. Chef allowed us to participate fully in the preparation process in her own kitchen. We made copious notes and are planning to put our skills into practice back in South Africa for our friends. Thoroughly recommended as an authentic experience of Moroccan culture and cuisine!

I love these classes and I will be back next year when I visit Morocco again. The Chef is exceptional, she answered all my questions. Explaining things like what a 1/2 tea cup in liquid measurement equals. Her directions were very clear and I will be duplicating these recipes when I get back home

If you are looking for a lovely morning out after you are sick of wandering through the medina or looking at the next monument then spend the morning with the lovely Chef Khadija. We felt very welcome into her home and were taken through the process of making a traditional Tajine and breads. The flavours were spectacular and we will be trying some of them at home for sure. A fun and low stress way to experience Moroccan cuisine. She didn't even laugh at our bumbling attempts to assist. The taste of the meal was far better than we have had in various restaurants. Top activity, recommended.

We were very happy about the experience. You get into her house and kitchen and follow and help her prepare the food. She was very flexible and allowed for variations (berber omelette, vegetarian tajine, ...). She speaks little english and french and luckily we had a darija speaking fried with us. The food was excellent.

This cooking lesson in Rabat is one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco. It was such a pleasure to learn to cook local cuisine from Chef Khadija (Marouane’s mom). They were very welcoming of us. We enjoyed the cooking experience, Chef Khadija & Maroune’s hospitality and even the chance to celebrate my wife’s birthday in their home. We highly recommend this cooking lesson with Chef Khadija.

The cooking experience with Khadija was wonderful. She is knowledgeable and fun and we prepared an amazing Pastilla dish with Briouate to accompany. Her kitchen is impeccably clean and well appointed for the experience. We felt welcomed and comfortable in her home. Communication with her son made getting to her home pretty easy, although it’s quite far from the center of Rabat. Thank you for a fun and informative afternoon!
