Amazing fun tour of South Philadelphia market and history. Our guide James was so much fun and very knowledgeable- highly recommended!!

We recently attended the walking tour of the Italian Market in Philadelphia. We had the best time with our tour guide, Craig. There were about 8 stops on the tour, including mosaic wall art by Isaiah Zagar, 2 traditional Italian bakeries, cheese and pasta shops, and more. The food was sample sized and all very delicious. Craig lives in the neighborhood and was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and familiar with many of the shops and people. The tour took about 2.5-3 hours. It was a great value for the cost and a fun experience to do for a date day. We would absolutely do another one of their tours.

Barry was an amazing tour guide! He was super informative and really nice! It was such a fun tour and he gave us a lot of historical information about the area.

Amazing food tour with a great variety of foods. Italian, Vietnamese, Mexican and sweets. Barry was so knowledgeable and gave interesting facts throughout. Plenty of food so come hungry!

Barry was great and I would never try all the best food of Philly if it was not for him. He knows everything about Philly and about food and it was the best experience we had there.

This is a great way to see the Italian market! We went to some amazing places, especially the Sarcone’s tomato pie and Isgro cannoli! LOTS of food and Barry was so knowledgeable and a great tour guide. I got lots of fun souvenirs. Definitely would recommend if you are a foodie!

I ended up being the only person in my tour group with Chuck on the South Philadelphia food tour. I had a great time, he made sure I didn’t feel awkward at all. The spots were all delicious and I ended up going back to a couple of the stores to buy what we got since it was so good. Definitely recommend!

I gave this tour to myself for my birthday and it was great. Craig, who lives in the neighborhood, took us to several shops and restaurants where we sampled a variety of foods — tomato pie, cannoli, Vietnamese summer rolls, tacos, and Italian water ice. Yum!! We also visited a pasta shop, cheese shop, outdoor produce markets, etc. I’m glad I brought a shopping bag for purchases. Along the way, Craig told us about the history of this iconic area of Philadelphia and showed us examples of street art. I highly recommend this interesting tour!

This was a fun, tasty and informative tour with an excellent tour guide, Craig, who provided lots of interesting history and tidbits of trivia about the Italian market and south Philly. He took a lot of time to explain the market and how it’s changed and evolved through the years. Would definitely recommend for the history and the very tasty food that was provided!

Barry was extremely kind and very knowledgeable of the area, that additions of art was also a very interesting aspect. There were a lot of bites of food and all were beyond delicious ! I would a hundred percent recommend this so you get an idea of the history and all of the amazing food to offer in the Italian market.
