Istanbul Grand Bazaar Half-Day Shopping Tour

Over 4,000 shops await you to explore and discover. Meet your English-speaking guide when you are picked up from your hotel in central Istanbul. Navigate the vast selection of leather, rug, jewelry, and antique stores. You can be assured that your purchases will be authentic examples of whatever it is you are looking for. Looking for Kilims, Heriz or Isfahan carpets? Your guide will take you to the most reputable vendors. If antiques are what you are looking for, then your guide will ensure you are purchasing an authentic piece and not one made for the tourist trade. Your Grand Bazaar shopping tour ends with a visit to the Nuruosmaniye Mosque. The mosque is one of the finest examples of the Ottoman-Baroque architectural style found in Turkey.

The BEST way to do the Grand Bazaar
I went to the Grand Bazaar on my first day in Istanbul but found it so intimidating I only lasted a few minutes. Going back with Hameeda my guide was brilliant. The attitude of the traders when you are with a local is so much better. She knew the best stores to go to in the maze and helped me barter and deal with language difficulties. I also learned lots about the history of the Grand Bazaar which was fascinating. Definitely money well spent. Of all the places in Istanbul this is the one where I would 100% recommend a guide.

a very good trip
The tourguide showed a lot to me. The grad bazaar is huge. I saw some very interesting things. Especially the little places where they produce the products were interesting. There you can buy without bargening. I could have spent even more time at the basaar... very colourful and nice place + I was the only person on tour + tour started on time + we did all that had been promised + I could ask a lot of questions + we looked for some special products I wanted + no presure to buy

Found some hidden gems
I enjoyed this tour - it wasn't really focussed on shopping as much as it was about the history of the grand bazaar and how it developed. Our guide was really knowledgeable and could answer any questions we had, as well as showing us some out of the way places that we definitely wouldn't have seen otherwise.
