I really enjoyed speaking with the chef after our cooking session. We had a very small group of only four people. It was super fun! We cooked paella and drank sangria. It was great and I loved the recipe! STRONGLY STRONGLY RECOMMEND

Liz and Kako did an amazing job with this experience. My girlfriend and I are from the United States and wanted to do something for dinner and we highly recommend this experience. We got to meet different people from different countries and cultures, making this a great experience to be adventurous. If you want to cook, eat, and drink this is something you should do.

This experience was a highlight of our trip to Barcelona. Our guide/chef was fabulous. The visit to the market to purchase the seafood was fun. Then we walked through the gothic quarter to a quaint dining room and kitchen where we learnt how to make delicious Sangria, were very hands on in the meal prep and then ate a delicious meal - the best paella I ever had! We then were given the recipes to try at home. The experience is one to be recommended.

Amazing class! our guide Jen was so knowledgeable and personable, and the chef Kako knew so much about the food and was so charismatic! Honestly a must-do experience, freshest tasting and most wonderful paella i’ve ever had and more than enough sangria to go around!

My daughters and I had a great time creating paella with Chef Andre. It was great to learn about traditional sangria, learn the proper way to clean prawns, and watch the cooking process. It was a great afternoon experience.

Cooking class is something I always try to do on vacation, but this one was special. The group was a great size and I felt like we all interacted so well with each other…and that makes the classes so much more fun. The instruction by Kiko (or Kako?) and Liz was easy to understand and the resulting paella was proof of their instructional abilities. The recipe for sangria was a bonus and “killer”! My husband certainly enjoyed the recipe once I got home☺️

We met with our chef Andrea who was kind and knowledgeable. We walked around the local food market where he purchased the fresh ingredients we would be using for our paella. We were given around 25 minutes of time to explore. We then walked to his private kitchen where we began the lesson. He started off by educating us on and making traditional sangria (which was delicious). He then walked us through the preparation required for the paella. That's when we stepped in and began to help with the cooking process. Everything was very clean and safe. The finished meal was absolutely amazing, I finished every bite. I would definitely recommend this experience to those visiting Barcelona.

This was a wonderful experience! We went on Easter Monday, so unfortunately the market was not open. However, the chefs were engaging and entertaining, and the food was delicious. I am excited to try and make paella and sangria at home!

This class was fun! We got all seafood at the market and walked to the kitchen to cook paella. Liz was great keeping us busy. Many taught us to make sangria. We had about 12 people in the group but the kitchen was big enough to accommodate us all. We took 4 pm class so we skipped dinner that day. Overall, great experience.

It was very friendly and Liz and Kako did a nice job. There is more to making paella than I thought. And I really enjoyed her teaching us how to make sangria. I used to think it was simple, but it is complex. Good Job!

This was the best experience ever. Liz (our guide) and Kiko (our chef) was so nice and made sure that we had an amazing time. The history behind paella and why it was made, as well as the history of the supermarket that we went to beforehand was unmatched. The way that the class was broken up so that there was something for everyone to do, having snacks for everyone, and the tons of sangria really made this experience exceptional. 10/10 would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

Liz and Daphne the chefs were awesome. Going to the market to pick out our fresh ingredients was nice. We did the prep work and relished the end results. Sodas and water and Sangria was provided. Would certainly do it again

The experience was excellent. We had a small group of 7 which made it more intimate. Our guide, Liz, shared local insights as she took us to the market to get the ingredients. Our chef, Manny, happily guided us through preparing the paella. The paella, snacks, and sangria were delicious. Looking forward to making paella and sangria from the recipes provided.

This is not our first cooking class but it was the worst. There were 14 in our group, in our opinion 6-8 would have been better served. We were marched to the market to buy ingredients, which we were told were the best seafood. We were left to wander, unaccompanied in the emptying market for 20 minutes before being marched (15 minutes) to the kitchen. The kitchen was nothing like the one shown in the pictures, much smaller, with no room to stand next to the food preparation for all of us and very run down. We were given Sangria and waited a long time while our host prepared in the kitchen. There were a lot of instructions on preparation, most of which could be heard but not seen as there was no room around the food preparation area. Six of us were asked to help, by stirring the paellas, preparing prawns, or chopping peppers but no other hands-on experience for any of us. A few meagre tapas dishes were offered on one corner of the food preparation area. No explanation on preparation was offered. Yet another wait, and more Sangria, (beer and lemonade were also on offer), and the paellas were served. Mine was so salty as to be inedible. The mussels were tiny and shrivelled. Only the prawns were good. Our host was enthusiastic but the group's spirits waned as the evening progressed. The whole evening was very disappointing, and it was not worth it for €69 per person. In my opinion, this was not a satisfactory “Interactive Spanish Cooking Experience”.
