Karen is a incredibly sympatic person, friendly and patient. Surroundings stunning + sun shining. Lot of cod catched. Supernice barbecue in Karens Garden/Kota. we loved it so much.

Was an amazing experience ! My partner and I enjoyed learning how to ice fish. Photos were taken then sent to us after the experience. We were also taken back to her house to cook up the fish that was caught and eat it.

Actually we did not take part in the event because my son got a fever. But based on the communication with Karin I can highly recommend Skadi Adventures, because I was offered two more occasions when we could join the fishing, and I could decide if we can join or not till the last moment before the trip. I am very grateful for the kind words and offers from Katrin, which was nothing guaranteed by the offer, just a very understanding, kind and generous approach.

It’s my first time in Tromsø, and I wanted to experience ice fishing. The weather unexpectedly cooperated, and we started by drilling a hole and learning how to bait the hook. Every experience was a first for me, and I didn’t expect to catch anything. Suddenly, there was a response on the line, and I caught a fish! I thought that would be the end, but then we were invited to a cozy cabin to grill the fish and enjoy a meal with locals, accompanied by delicious hot drinks. It was a wonderful day filled with unforgettable experiences! Highly recommended for first-time visitors.

Very nice tour! We had a lot of fun and our guide Geir was fantastic. We ate delicious fish on the barbecue and Karin welcomed us into her house, with hot chocolate and chocolate. He prepared the fish and then Geir cooked it on the BBQ. Everything was perfect. thanks Skadi adventures.

Brought my mom and friends— all of us had fun and I recommend this to everyone. Don’t forget your toe warmers! Coolest experience being in the hut and having fresh fish after. Literally love the woman who runs this and we talk about what a cool experience this is was over a year later.

Out of all tours so far this is the best in tromso, excellent hosts and really good food. Fishing in the magical fjord even though we didn’t catch any fishing was a unique experience. Carving the hole, fishing and preparing food afterwords in the hut was one of a kind experience. Oh and their cat chanel was the cutest little fluff ball.

Very knowledgeable about ice fishing. We were entertained at her beautiful home with the fresh catch of the day! It was just delicious! Would highly recommend this activity while in Tromso!

This was definitely one of the higlights of our week-long trip to Tromso Norway! Karin was so authentic and easy to work with. Communication pre-trip was great, with her reaching out via WhatsApp to field any questions or clarifications. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish, great for beginners who have never fished before (my wife) or those just new to ice fishing in general (myself). Not everyone in our group caught a fish but the group overall caught more than we could eat. If you're staying in an Airbnb or somewhere with a kitchen, you can take the extra fish home to cook! We all went home with bellies full of delicious freshly barbecued cod and toasted marshmallows.

Great excursion!! If you enjoy nature activities this is a great one. We caught a ton of fish but even if we didn’t I’d say it was still fun to be out on the ice and learn about ice fishing and afterwards we ate an amazing meal with the fish we caught (but in case we didn’t catch any she had fish burgers prepared). Highly recommend this tour. Great for families or anyone who wants a good pic with a fish. Surprisingly ice fishing is much easier than regular fishing. The fish are super easy to pull up.I did this as solo traveler and loved it

We had a great day out with Karin and our group. Pick up was really easy and we were soon heading out onto the frozen Fjord to have a go at ice fishing. Team work soon had as all drilled through the ice and fishing away. The group really had a good laugh. We caught a few nice cod and headed back to Karins bbq hut for a lovely group lunch. The venue is stunning, Karin is a fantastic, fun and friendly host and it was a 5* day as far as we were concerned. Everyone in group was really nice and we all had fun.

First time fishing. The guide, Karin, is very knowledgeable and engaging. We were in a group of 7 people in total(not counting the guide), which added a personal touch that would not be possible with a bigger group. We managed to experience drilling holes through the ice ourselves as well. Our group was quite successful with fishing, and we had the fish we caught for lunch. Lunch was delicious and atmosphere cozy. The people we were with were also very fun to be around, which made the experience even better.

Great Ice Fishing experience today with Karin. I’d selected this tour at random from those available today in Tromsø and would wholeheartedly recommend even if you, like me, have no particular interest in fishing. We drove out from Tromso further up the fjord to a fully frozen area and all donned spikes (provided by Karin) to walk out onto the ice to an area well used by locals for ice fishing. Karin got out the giant drill bit (no joke) and we all had a go at drilling into the ice with different degrees of success - lucky Karin and others in our group helped out so that we all had a hole through which to fish. During our time on the ice the group caught maybe 8 fish (including a few herring), and then we all headed back to Karin’s own beautiful house and BBQ hut where Karin prepare the fish we caught and then cooked it over the heated coals in the hut. Fantastic experience, topped off with marshmallow toasting, making us all very happy. Karin is a great host and really helps the group to gel together. If I ever come back to Tromso I’ll be sure to book another of Karin’s tours.

I would highly recommend this tour! The peacefull time at the frozen fjord, amazing views on the white mountains, the guide, and the fact it was a small group, everything was just perfect. We caught about 9 cods, they taste so good!

Great trip and something different. Couple of hours fishing and then back to Karin’s house for hot drinks and BBQ of the fish. On our trip 8 people, 1 other couple and a family of 4 and all enjoyed it.

Simple, easy, but so relaxing and so friendly ! Karin brings a small group (it s a best !) to ice fishing on the fjord, and then invites us to her house to enjoy a friendly lunch with .. the fish of the day Karin is really attentioned. One of the best experiences in tromso

If you’re looking for an ice fishing excursion Skadi Adventure is perfect! I’m not big into fishing, and had no idea what to expect, but this ended up being one of my favorite activities in Tromso. Karin, our guide was incredibly kind and personable throughout the entire excursion. Even if you don’t catch anything she will still have food prepared, which she will prepare while inviting you into her home to eat. It started off as an outdoor activity then became a more intimate community activity as we all shared a meal together by the fire. Skadi Adventures is the perfect company if you are looking for small group tours.

Nice outdoor activity (1,5hr fishing) combined with great Norwegian hospitality and nice BBQ with freshly caugth fish. We enjoyed every minute of it and had a great time, with some nice food in the BBQ hut.

Very fun and unique activity. Karin was great and welcomed us into her home afterwards to cook and eat the fish we had just caught. Highly recommended!
