During our tour of the Hue Imperial City, our knowledgeable and capable tour guide, Thinh of Daco Tour, provided us with extensive historical insights. His expertise allowed him to expertly answer all of our inquiries regarding Hue and the various sites we visited. We had the opportunity to explore the magnificent palace, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the intricately designed tomb of Khai Dinh, all of which left a lasting impression on us. We express our sincere gratitude to Thinh and Daco Tour for their exceptional service and the enriching experience they provided.

Would recommend this tour if you want to get a real understanding of the history of Hue. The tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and passionate about the history. The places visited were incredible and we could spend the time we wanted at each site as we opted for a private tour. The restaurant for lunch was good, we tried local food on a set menu that we probably wouldn’t have otherwise tried, it was very hot the day we did the tour but the guide always took us to a shady spot and the minibus had good air conditioning.

Thinh was a delightful and very informative tour guide on our day trip from Da Nang to Hue, Vietnam. They were very prompt in arrival for pickup and the day went exceptionally smooth. We really enjoyed the Imperial City which served as an interesting introduction into some of the history of Vietnam. Highly recommend this tour.

Tour was above and beyond what we expected. Our guide, Thinh was tremendous. He was enthusiastic, helpful and explained everything in great detail. Would highly recommend both Dacotours and Thinh. Communication between company prior to excursion was phenomenal. We knew exactly when and where to meet. All arrangements were as described in tour synopsis. Thinh and our driver Mr. Bao let us know what we should expect and exactly what was planned. Again, great tour and would definitely use them again.

The tour was very professionally organised and engaging. The communication in advance was excellent, with the tour operator reaching out in advance to confirm our pick up arrangements (straight from and to our hotel in Danang) and dietary requirements. The car was very comfortable, water was provided, the driving was impeccable (especially considering the winding road through the Hai Van Pass) and our tour guide chatted to us about both the content of the tour and any other questions we had about the area, history and current life in Vietnam. Her English was really good which made the communication easy and enjoyable. The drive to Hue is scenic, with two stops - at a viewpoint in the Hai Van Pass and a very pretty lagoon where we could also see how locals fished for oysters. In Hue, it was very handy to have the car drop us off and pick us up from attractions that are far from each other - that alone justified booking the tour! Our tour guide gave us interesting, accessible information about the sights, not too much or too dense, and always made sure we had time for pictures too. The lunch was nice, with a tasting menu of local dishes. It wasn't the absolute best food we'd had in Vietnam but it was tasty and gave us a chance to try a few more dishes that we hadn't encountered before. There is also a short feedback form at the end, so people can give feedback directly about various aspects of the tour. Overall, the tour was really worthwhile and we enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend!

Lovely Thi was my tour guide. Very informative day. She was able to answer all my questions and was super nice. Lunch was in a beautiful garden restaurant. The food was delicious and the presentation, amazing! All round a super day!!

Thinh was our tour guide extraordinaire with Dacotours Company along with Mr Bao, the driver. We had a GREAT day. Note: our pick-up was at Hilton Da Nang and it’s a 2-hour drive from there so getting shuttled there and back alone is 4-hours of your day, so well worth the ability to sit back, relax and not worry about the traffic and dodging motorbikes. And Thinh told us a ton of history of Da Nang and Vietnam in general on the way there/before we even arrived. We visited 3 major sites on Hue and Thinh gave us a ton of history about each site. It was an amazing day. He was also super attentive to our hydration and WC needs. My friend is 6’3” and was very comfortable in the vehicle too. We also stopped on the way to Hue for a WC break and there was a pearl place nearby that we had the option to go to. We also stopped at a scenic overlook. The lunch spot in Hue was really awesome - fantastic garden and food (great choice by the tour guide). Thinh was very willing to take pictures of us and for us along the way. SUPER nice guy.

We truly enjoyed our private tour to Hue Imperial City which was guided by Mr. Phuoc in January 2023. He’s very knowledgeable, speaks really good English and a great photographer. Really an enjoyable trip.

Amazing private tour of Hue. Our guide (Oanh pronounced as one) was very informative and explained things very well. She walked us around the imperial citadel and was clear in her descriptions. She even recommended a great Bun Bo Hue place for lunch. Highly recommended!

There is a reason this is 5 stars with 94 reviews, and now 5 stars with 95 reviews. When you book a day trip, this is what you hope for. I use Viator to travel all over the world and this was one of the better tours I’ve done. Driver was great, always had water ready and made any stops we wanted. Our guide, Thanh was fantastic. He was caring and knowledgeable and made our entire experience very enjoyable. Highly recommend if in Da Nang area, the imperial city was great to see, learn about history, and get some cool pictures.

There is a reason this is already 5 stars, fantastic in all respects. Thahn is a great tour guide will cater to your needs and clearly wants everyone to be comfortable and enjoy their time. The driver was great, smooth ride and we were given plenty of water. Lunch was very good, and yours of the imperial city, pagoda and tomb were all very fun and knowledgeable. This is exactly what you’d want on a tour and I wish every guide could be as great as Thahn. Highly recommend.

This was an excellent tour and Mr. Thanh was a terrific tour guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The driver was very friendly and safe and always close at hand. They were on time and flexible with the schedule. Also the lunch was fantastic 5 courses in a beautiful restaurant with excellent food. I recommend this over a non private tour for the flexability. We were able to stop for photos as we wanted, and chose if we wanted rest stops and which attractions Also there was less time spent on pickup and drop off so we were able to get the most out of our day in the least amount of time. Highly recommended for couples and families.

One of the better private tours we’ve had in Vietnam. Lots of sharing of information, pleasant drives with no issues, plenty of time for sites. Not a hurried pace. Only complaint I have of all tours lately is that I don’t need tour guides to keep insisting on doing photos of us. This one understood and accommodated but others, keep insisting throughout the day. I can appreciate what they’re trying to do but they should ask if you want it.

The tour was incredible. Our guide Châu was very informative and spoke flawless English. We really felt like we got a lot out of our time in Hue despite the long drive. I’d recommend this to anyone wanting to see Hue in one day.

High quality, well organised tour. Highly recommend choosing Dacotours. Communication was excellent prior to and after booking by email and WhatsApp, we booked directly with them via their website. Our guide, Thong, had fantastic knowledge and energy. 2 hours plus spent within the imperial city which was something else, so impressive - a must see if you travel to Vietnam. The multi course lunch provided was in a lovely restaurant, great local cuisine in generous servings. The pagoda and tomb also highlights of the day. With numerous tour options available it can be difficult to know which one to choose. I wouldn't hesitate to tour with Dacotours again in the future.
