I have done 4 different trips, 8 days total with Bolivian Mountaineering. I reached the summits of all my climbs with them: Huayna Potosi, Charquini, Pico Austria, Pico Tarija. I cannot praise the owner Pedro and his team of guides, cooks and porters enough. From the very beginning Pedro was professional and very communicative. He answered all my questions with precise detail and addressed all of my concerns with patience. He provided fair pricing and transparency throughout (honestly for the quality of service you are getting, his company is THE BEST value even though some have said it is pricier than others --- I do not look so closely at price when my safety and well being is involved). He has a very good relationship with all the workers and refuge managers. As a guide, Pedro has SO MUCH experience and knowledge - I felt extremely safe in his care. He was also very observant of my needs, he went above and beyond to ensure my success to the summit! He tailored my whole 8 day program to my goals AND to my day to day well-being (so important at high altitude). I also had another very experienced guide Jose M. who was also amazing. He was very attentive to all my needs, he knew exactly when to encourage me and when to give me a helping hand without me saying anything, and most importantly made me feel safe at all times. When I became sick during my 1st trip, both Pedro and Jose took very good care of me, which gave me significant confidence and trust in Bolivian Mountaineering so I ended booking three more trips with them. I would also like to mention the cook and porter Pepe/Jose who was very attentive and friendly as well as the sister cooks at Huayna Potosi, including Eli who made delicious food with love. I did not meet Pedro's wife, who takes care of a lot of the business administrative work, but when I was having digestive issues she packed homemade lunch boxes for me with such care! Bolivian Mountaineering provides exceptional services for pre-trip planning, guides, porters, cooks, transportation and custom made programs! You will not only have a great climb but a fun and memorable stay with these guys. 5/5 would recommend to friends and family, and when I return to South America I will be reaching out to Pedro again, without hesitation.

We started out with a Bolivian Death Road mountainbike ride and took a few slow days with a cultural program around Titicaca lake. Next came some serious acclimatizing to Pico Austria and some glacier training around Cordoriri. For the final attempt of Huayna Potosi we had three guides for 4 participants. This turned out ideal, since only two of us made the summit. The others could return safely in the company of a trained guide. I felt secure at every moment due to the guidance of very well trained guides that take safety as priority number one. Pedro was very patient with us, because his experience told him that we could make the summit. Overall a very well organised company and would certainly use them again.

Pedro and his team are amazing! Pedro was communicative for the entire year it took me to finally plan a trip. He was helpful with planning our entire stay in Bolivia and really went above and beyond on our climb. The pictures and videos he took are great! He brought up my hand warmers from base camp after I forgot them. The whole team was wonderful. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Me and my friend were looking for a private guided tour to help us safely climb Huayna Potosi. Pedro's company Bolivian Mountaineering offered exactly that, as he is specialized in guiding smaller or private groups for a more personal experience. When talking to Pedro we loved that he was very helpful in catering to our needs and offering flexibility by adding the Pico Austria summit before our climb to Huayna Potosi. He also recommended adding an extra rest day before the climb to increase our chances of making it and also to avoid larger groups making sure we had calmer experience on the mountain. We did the 3-day Huayna Potosi expedition. We chose this company because they were the ones giving the most clear information at a very reasonable price. We went with Pedro and Jose and they made us feel safe and comfortable at anytime. We almost reached the summit except for the last 100 meters since there were a lot of soft snow. But, anyway, it was an amazing experience. Views at the top are absolutely worth the effort. Thanks!

Can't recommend them enough. Our Huayna Potosi climb with Pedro, José and Pepe was an amazing experience, they were incredibly friendly, helpful and we had a lot of fun. Good equipment and very experienced, if you want to go mountaineering in Bolivia just book with them, you can't go wrong! They also organised our transportation to Pico Austria. We will definitely come back to them for our next adventures in Bolivia!

I can’t say enough good things about my trip. They are great about communicating before you arrive, gear issue was simple, and my guide and porter were both total professionals. Some places change more, but you’re paying for gimmicks like drone video footage or branded gear. After talking with other people on the mountain, I was really happy with my choice.

Perfect experience at Huayana Potosi and Parinacota. Pedro and his team are very professional and passionate about the mountains of Bolivia. They know like no one else. In addition to professionalism, he manages to adapt the itineraries according to the limitations of each person and according to the weather conditions. Having just returned from three days with Pedro and his team it was truly one experience to remember.

We spent three days with Pedro and his team, to get to the summit of Huayna Potosi. Their professionalism and commitment to safety immediately stood out to me. I appreciated the pre-hike safety meeting before our tour even started, to make sure that we understood everything involved and had the proper gear. This was important to us, as it was our first mountaineering experience.
Throughout the hike, they went out of their way to make sure that we were motivated and happy as well. 
While hiking, the guides would help with everything. When Jose noticed I was tired, he would take my water bottle out of my backpack for me, hand it to my brother, and then put it back. Those small things helped me conserve more energy. He also took amazing pictures of us hiking and at the summit!
This was a truly memorable experience, and we learned so much from Pedro and his team. We would highly recommend Bolivian Mountaineering to anyone— novice or advanced climbers!

We did a 4 day trek with Pedro and his company including Austria Peak, glacier training, acclimatization and the final ascent to Huayna Potosi. It was just incredible. Pedro is an amazing guide, who embodies all a true mountaineer should have. His customers/friends are always his priority. He is a great teacher and great to spend time with. I can fully recommend booking Pedro and his agency for everybody wanting to do mountaineering in Bolivia! I climbed Huayna Potosi twice with him and his friend Alex! The first time we had to stop at about 5800m because of severe snow storms and danger of avalanches, but we tried again 6 days later and summited in about 1.5 days with Alex. So I got to see Huayna Potosi in 2 different conditions, an incredible experience! Everything was perfectly organized, also the gear and the food. Pedro is very experienced in the mountains, a good guide and speaks very well English. Even more, he is not only a guide, he became a friend! Vor der Besteigung gibt es ausführliches Briefing- Gespräch mit Pedro ( weil es wirklich nicht ganz einfach ist den Huayna potosi zu besteigen) . Sein Team ( Jose der Guide und der wundervolle Felix, der Koch) sind sehr sehr erfahren und irre nett! Sie machten die Besteigung zu einer tollen Erfahrung , die ich im Herzen bewahren werde!
