The place is beautiful but the company’s numbers are all inactive which makes contacting them, especially as a foreigner quite difficult.

None other than any other cruise as was thrilled over the many attractions of Shanghai's architecture and modern skyscrapers especially in the limelight of the night with the amazing sparkling neon lights while cruising along the bunks on the top deck of cruise enjoying the cooling breeze and the overwhelmed beauty.

Tom our guide helped us and entertained us during the trip! He knew a lot about the history of China and Shanghai aswell about the amazing buildings on the bund. We were put together with an American couple, a nice small group!!

I thought this was a great way to see the Shanghai skyline all lit up at night. It was very crowded on the boat, but I still thought it worthwhile to do.

The cruise was nice. The boat takes you along the Huangpu river, close enough to take great shots of the lights and buildings. The Bund looks so grand with its lights. No need to rush. Just your tickets and be on time. People were rushing up the boat for god knows why! There is plenty of room. Just go straight to the top deck for good photo shots.

Uninterested. Socially awkward. Robotic. Impatient. We were happier to roam and explore ourselves...

This was well worth doing when in Shanghai. A great way to see the river and its traffic going up and down. The light show/s were just amazing. Being able to seem them on both sides of the river was incredible. Highly recommend

When we booked our tour via phone for 5/3/2019, we were not told that our booking date was scheduled on a Chinese holiday. Upon our arrival at our hotel in Shanghai we received a call from Viator stating that a major part of the tour was canceled due to the holiday and that all other guests had re-booked to a following day. Because we only had that night in Shanghai we agreed to take the river cruise part of the tour, without the trolley ride in Shanghai. We were very disappointed but our tour guide Tom Yu made up for the missing part of our tour. He was wonderful in so many ways: stayed by our side on the crowded river cruise, was very informative about every sight we saw, answered all of our questions, took us for a walk where we should have had the trolley ride, had us picked up and taken back to our hotel, did all of this and more even tho what would have been his group tour turned out to be a private tour for just my husband and me. His kindness, smiling attitude and amazing knowledge made us feel comfortable and glad that we did not cancel our tour. He deserves at least 5 stars for his excellence as our tour guide! We gave 4 stars only because Viator should have known in advance that only half of the tour would be allowed on this annual holiday in China. Tom was the best!!

Even though it was bitterly cold, the colour in this cruise warmed your heart. It was excellent. The lighting of the Bund(with it golden glow) to the bright ever changing colours of the tall building made this a special night. Not to be missed.

Advantages: - Most comfortable way to enjoy the bund, obviously because there is no need to walk or to squeeze with the other people in the streets. - Possibly the only way you get to capture the grand image of the Old side beside the New side of The Bund since you're right in the middle, on the river. What are available? - Banquet type of seating on the ferry, with large glass windows for you to enjoy watching the Bund. However, you’ll probably be able to take better photos from the deck since it is unblocked by the glass windows’ reflections. Seats on the deck are more limited so go up early! That’s where you can also enjoy the gentle breeze as the ship cruises along. - Drinks and light snacks can be purchased from the drinks counter - You can choose to pay 50rmb more to enter the VIP lounge where they have sofas and a complimentary drink - Tour guide also gives some good introduction of the various noteworthy buildings along the Bund so it’s a more meaningful to know the historical and cultural background of the buildings Tips: You can purchase the tickets at the ferry center at the original price by yourself, but be warned, tickets for each hourly session run out quickly so you may only be able to get tickets for the next session i.e. gotta wait for an hour at the ferry center. If you want to eliminate that uncertainty, it may be wiser to just book your desired time slot for the River Cruise tour in advance. ALSO, be prepared to get overcharged by taxis after the ferry ride because there were very few taxis in that area after 9pm. We had to negotiate to pay 80rmb for a five-minute ride back to our hotel! Most cabbies quoted us 100rmb!

We were picked up from the hotel by a Mercedes Minivan which was very comfortable. Even the back seats had massage function. Wait for the line was short. The boat ride was about an hour. VIP seating have us the best view to take pics. Pamela our tour guide was 90% of the deal. She went above and beyond to accommodate us. She was native and very knowledgeable! We loved her! Highly recommended!

The cruise was beautiful. A little less than an hr, the lights were spectacular, loved it! What I didn't enjoy was the tour and tour guide. The tour guide kept rushing, even asking her to take pics were pointless. She rushed everything. The after tour was less than 15 mins. Not worth the price. It would have been way cheaper to take a cab, buy my own ticket for the cruise then go to that shopping area to explore.

wow a lovely thing to do Shanghai on show with the ever changing light show the tallest building in the world being the shanghai tower which the locals call the whisk the bottle opener, needle ,and the syringe next to that giving a spectacular light show ..approx $45 or Y220 about a 3/4 hour trip is best seen with a upgrade with wine and seats and makes it easy to video or take photos you will see Shanghais sky line lit up in magnificent colors from the two sides of the Huangpu river

The amazing skyline of Shanghai on the Bund is just amazing as you take the cruise down the Huangpu River, the beautiful buildings all lit up adds to the beauty of this place, the cruise itself is nice, and gives you a good view of all the high rise buildings that line the banks of the river on either side a must do when in shanghai

Bad experience. starting with the bad coordination in the schedule for the pick up at the hotel, the tour included a trip by train of tourism in nanjing and the visit to the lobby of the Peace Hotel, really waste of time. We had to wait 40 minutes for our tour on the river, which could have been avoided if we had arrived earlier to the dock or at least bought the tickets in advance. the guide Frank always walked like 5 meters before us very hurried without considering the participants. During the 40 minute wait he could have taken the opportunity to explain something about the city but he left us alone in the waiting room. We were called to get to the line very late and were placed in the middle of the boat, without the option of having a better view unless paying a VIP pass. I do not recommend the tour. It is preferable to take the metro or taxi and get there and take pictures of the lights from The Bund.

This tour was unfortunately affected by the national public holiday, which meant we missed our first boat and had to wait 40 minutes for the next. This tour was still a highlight of our Shanghai visit.

The boat was large and comfortable. We would recommend getting to the top or back of the boat for the best experience as the other areas are internal. The cruise is of adequate length and the view is amazing! Make sure your camera has a good night mode. I think this is the best way to see the bund and Huangpu River. It really set the tone of our visit! Love Shanghai!!

(18: 30-19: 30) - Near the Pearl of the East Tower you will find one of the platforms from which the sailing ships sail. As you enter the tower, you can buy a card that combines a tour of the tower with a cruise on the Huangpu River. It is recommended to end your first day of sailing on the river, when it is already getting dark and around, the city lights are lit and glowing in a variety of colors

Shanghai by night is compared to a Beautiful Concubine. We were amazed at the beautiful buildings and lighting. Such a lovely city. Must do tour.
