Fantastic experience horseback riding in the Andes. Our tour guide, Diego, was bilingual so he was easy to understand & was very personable & made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The views were beautiful & the horses were lovely to ride. The asado dinner was delicious with lots of meat, delicious bread with garlicky chimmichurri & a fresh tomato salad. Diego serenaded us with his guitar under the stars. We had a fabulous experience & highly recommend it.

This tour exceeded our expectations. I had never ridden a horse and I was scared at first, but the guides were lovely and explained us how to do it. At the end I felt like an expert. Then the dinner was fantastic, lots of food and wine. After we sang song around the fire. Congratulations to the owner Diego for putting together such a lovely experience.

Great experience. We were picked up from Mendoza and drove into the mountains where we joined a big group at the ranch. There was a big support team to help with the horses, and me and my boyfriend felt very comfortable even at beginner level. Amazing bbq food, wine and singalong around the fire

Diego and his crew are amazing! We had the best time - a highlight of our trip. After a beautiful ride through the mountains the Gauchos had an asado waiting for us and then we sat around the fire drinking wine and listening to folk songs. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed a nice jaunt through the mountains with Diego, before settling down to dinner and songs around the campfire. It was a beautiful setting, and a nice experience.

Dinner was mediocre and the “gauchos”. did not sing nor attempt to entertain us in any way. No hand sanitizer, napkins or dessert. Simply a long pre-dinner horseback ride, back to stables and so-so meal. No choice about how you want your steak cooked. Hotel pickup driver was super nice!

Diego was a great instructor and made it a very enjoyable experience for our group. The horseback riding, bbq dinner, Malbec and songs around a campfire were all amazing. Really enjoyed getting a taste of the gaucho culture. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Mendoza !!

The bbq was nice and the guide with the guitar singing was the cherry on the cake. It was a great experience.

We didn't make use of the transportation, but if you're staying in the Valle de Uco area, I'd recommend renting a car and coordinating to arrive on your own as it's about an hour and a half from the location. As for the experience itself, Diego was an amazing host; a true Rennaissance Man who can Guacho, Cook, play guitar, and sing. Beautiful scenery and a great meal and wine to close out the experience. Definitely something to add to the list when visiting this beautiful area of Argentina.

An awesome experience in the foothills of the Andes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They picked us up right on time in a nice, newer vehicle. The dogs in the area were also a cute and pleasant surprise. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations!!

This was a funny and different type of experience than I'm used to. With this you're able to ride horse through the the mountains and appreciate some amazing views of the city. After the horse riding you're served a great dinner with plenty of asado and wine. The best part was getting to chat with other people that were there. Only downside was I was told that I was told not to bring my dslr camera on the ride, so I had to settle for my phone to take pictures.

This was an amazing experience and one of our favorite memories from our trip to Argentina. You don’t need any experience riding horses to be able to do this experience, as it’s quite easy to pick up. You ride for around 2 hours, going along side the Andes Mountains, expediting different variations in terrain. It starts off easy and towards the end you’re able to do some more challenging terrain, going up a small hill to see beautiful views! Diego, our guide, was such a warm and welcoming person. He helped everyone get situated with the horses and made sure we all were able to handle the horses okay throughout the ride. You can tell Diego loves what he does and genuinely enjoys sharing the gaucho (cowboy) culture with others. The BBQ at the end is AMAZING! Some of the best meat you’ll have and it was so enjoyable talking with the other people on the tour. After the sun sets, Diego played songs on the guitar and sang for us. It was such a beautiful evening we didn’t want it to end. If you’re in Mendoza, you HAVE to do this!! My only regret is not doing a longer trip with them! (Make sure to wear pants though as you go through some brush with thorns on them. Diego pretty much had to tell every person to change into pants when he picked us up since that wasn’t communicated beforehand.)

This was for sure one of the highlights of our trip. Everyone was very friendly and the combination of the beautiful sunset horseback ride along with a fun, local-styled meal with a few guitar tunes mixed in there made for a very fun night. There is one thing I would like to mention to other potential travelers looking to do this amazing activity - pickup time from the group is variable based on what time the sunset is. Our tickets were originally told 4:00 PM pickup. The day before I reached out to confirm and they then told me 5:00. We waited outside of our hotel for almost an hour before they picked us up at 6:00. We were about to give up and go get dinner somewhere because we thought we missed the shuttle, but due to sunset being late (8:30 ish) when we were there, it began to make a little more sense. There was little to no communication the day of and they picked us up in a regular car, which would have been fine had we been told that ahead of time and knew what to look for. All in all, great experience that was a little more stressful at the beginning than it needed to be.

This was a beautiful excursion.... The staff picked up at our hotel on-time, and were awesome setting us up with our horses and guiding us up the path. Dinner afterward was very good and so was the impromptu guitar and sing-along. I would highly recommend this for anyone considering something low-key, but enjoyable.

Terrific experience exploring the Mendoza landscape via horseback, including views of Mendoza City. Riding in sunset and twilight really accentuates the view. The horseback riding itself was smooth and steady. While my girlfriend and I are not very experienced, we learned over the course of the 2-2.5 hours how to navigate, motivate, and generally show the horse who is in charge. The asado and fresh vegetables after the horseback riding was great and an important aspect — they slow cook on the grill the entire time we are away. If we had more time, wish we could have done one of their multi day trips up into the mountains. Thank you to our able guide (and founder of Gaucho Estate) Diego for an excellent day. Learned much about horses, Mendoza, and Argentinian cuisine through our conversations.
