It was a wonderful experience! Auntie K, Auntie Mary, Nicole, and the crew made the experience so familiar and warm. And I walked away ready to try these recipes again at home. I can’t wait to do another class with them in the future!

I had a wonderful experience with Auntie Kay and her daughter learning to make jolly, kelewele, fish and chicken. She allows you to get as involved in the cooking process as you want, shows you the seasoning techniques are uses and provides instruction. It was also wonderful to be in her home with her family while making the food! Come hungry! Leave happy! Couldn't recommend more!

Auntie K and her family were so welcoming! This was a great experience learning how to make some Ghanaian dishes in a traditional setting. This class felt a lot like helping your mother cook family recipes in the kitchen. Where recipes are known by heart, ingredients are measured with your fingers, and you taste test to see how things are coming along. The food was so delicious and we got to take some back with us for later!!

Auntie K is an amazing cook, teacher and host! She allowed us to be as hands on as we wanted while making sure everything came out perfectly. She even toned down the spice for me and my family, and the food was absolutely delicious. We made chicken, Jollof rice, spinach sauce with cocoyam and kelewele. It was one of the best meals we had in Accra and I would definitely take her class again in the future. Thank you Auntie K!

10/10! Best traditional Ghanian food in Accra! Cooking with Auntie K was one of the best things I did during my visit to Ghana. Auntie K was so welcoming and it truly felt like you were home. The food was AMAZING. Each dish was flavorful and you could taste the love in each bite. There were a few food restrictions and allergies for people in my group and Auntie K went above and beyond to accommodate and ensure they too had a flavor filled meal to enjoy. If you are considering booking this class, just go ahead and book! You won’t regret it and your stomach will thank you!

This was an amazing experience. It was like sitting in the kitchen watching relatives cook having fun! The food was absolutely delicious! All of it. You can tell Aunty K loves to cook by the perfectly spiced selections. One of my fa favorites was the plantains which were ginger flavored and tastes almost like candy. I enjoyed the smoked Tuna, jollof rice, and vegetables too.She even packed "to-go" plates. You will not be disappointed!!

Ghanaian food is not just a cuisine, it’s an experience. Auntie K gives you both. My daughters and I spent the morning cooking with Auntie K, helped by her beautiful daughters. It will be one of the most cherished memories of our trip to Ghana. Auntie K asked us what we wanted to cook. We told her we wanted traditional food - but light on the spice. She gave us exactly what we asked for. We started by going to the market. Because it was Sunday, we went to a smallish one. The variety of vegetables, fruits, smoked fish - amazing. Back at her house, we made kele wele, jollof rice, grilled chicken, cabbage and carrots and konton mire. Ok, “we” is a stretch. Auntie K humored us by letting us do some basic tasks, but mostly we watched in awe and enjoyed in bliss. The food was unbelievable. Watching her cook that entire meal over three braziers in her courtyard was to witness an artist in perfection of her craft. Auntie is warm, funny and just plain wonderful. I regret that I have only 5 stars to give.

Auntie K was a delight! I enjoyed cooking with her and her daughters. Everyone was nice and hospitable! The other guests (including myself) called her “Auntie”! Auntie K is everybody’s aunt. I learned how to cook Ghana food such rice jollof and kelewele, to name a few - DELICIOUS! I also learned how to cook an “egg sandwich.” Some of my Ghanaian friends told me the name of this dish. There may be another name but I am unsure. There was also chicken, fish and kontomire on the menu. YUM!

We had a lovelyyyy time at Auntie K’s cooking class. We arrived a couple hours after a long night of partying during Detty December so unfortunately our engines weren’t revved and we had a very slow start. We peeled and cut some veggies and pounded some spices but Auntie K graciously undertook almost all of the cooking. She walked us through what she was doing and the steps she was taking. Everything look and smelled soooo good. She teased us lovingly like an auntie would when we weren’t doing much and encouraged us to engage more. We shared laughter and a great meal. Her entire family was welcoming and I would do this experience again and again! We were asked what we would like to cook days prior to the cooking class. Our menu consisted of jollof rice, kelewele, grilled chicken, cabbage, fufu, and goat stew. Everything was so delicious. The kelewele was the best I had during my stay in Accra. The jollof was among the top 3 I had in Accra as well. We ate A LOT of kelewele and jollof during our stay and the ones prepared by Auntie K ranked amongst our favorites. I would love to come back and do this experience. Thank you Auntie K And Family!!

The class consisted of the whole group sitting and watching Auntie K cooked food. The cooking class took place in her front yard that had many different people coming in and out (very nice people). The food did taste really good. We just felt misled with the verbiage!

The food was delicious and Auntie made sure to meet my dietary needs. I would not call this a cooking class, it was more of a demonstration. We sorted beans then sat and watched her cook. I’ve been to other cooking classes that were very hands on, and this was not. I feel like I will still need to look up the recipes and follow them myself to learn how to make the dishes. I wish that we’re able to cook the food ourselves to have step by step instructions. Also, make sure that you have a lot of time. We were there almost 4 hours and were told that we were “rushing.” Understood that good food takes time, but 4 hours for an abbreviated class seems a bit excessive. We did book last minute, (the day before) which might explain the lack of preparation ahead of time, but I feel that the food could have been better prepared ahead of time to cut down on time (i.e. chopped vegetables, etc) The host was very friendly and knowledgeable, but there are a few adjustments that could be made to make it a better experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed my cooking class with Auntie K. She asked me beforehand if I had any allergies or if there was something in particular I wanted to learn to make. I love that I could ask her to teach me something particular. She and her assistants walked me through each step of making our dishes for the day, which included kelewele (spicy fried plaintain), kontomire with dried fish, jollof rice, grilled chicken and sauteed vegetables. Auntie K is a great teacher and also gave me substitutes for the ingredients in case I was unable to find them once I got back to the states. She gave a really good class.

Brilliant day cooking at Aunty K’s home. We started with a trip to the markets, where we bought the ingredients for the meal. We made a range of traditional and delicious dishes! Aunty K catered to our dietary requirements and was an excellent teacher and cook. The class is great value for money - we spent almost an entire day with Aunty K (one of our favourite days in Ghana so far). Highly recommend!

Being able to be a part of the preparation and eating of an authentic Ghanaian meal was amazing. Auntie K as we say in the America, “she put her foot in it” (in other words, it was superb)!!!! Thank you for the experience and of course “the meal”!!

This was one of the best activities I did on my solo trip to Accra. Aunty K was excellent. Very easy to talk to and very welcoming. I enjoyed everything I ate and loved watching/being involved in the process. I even took some notes and tried one of the recipes when I got home (the fried turkey wings) and it came out great. Would 100% recommend!
