A perfect start to the day for couples looking to learn about cooking the amazing foods that make Vietnams eclectic cuisine so sought after. Easy pick up point and a quick ride to the market. Our guide explained the market and foods before taking us to the river for an hour ride on the coconut boats. We caught crabs and fished with a traditional net. Once we returned it was on to the cooking class. Our instructor was the patient and concise in her explanations and out creations were exquisite! Defiantly a great time with your spouse!

Our entire family (2 parents and one adult child) enjoyed our Hoi An cooking / basket boating adventure this morning. Our driver / guide “Long” was super-friendly, thoughtful, gracious and knowledgeable. The tour through the local food market with Long was fascinating: a real highlight. Our boatmen were fun, kind and energetic. They showed us how to use a seine-like net to catch small fish and how to to catch black crabs with a hook. Our chef, Long’s sister-in-law, was super-organized and had a great sense of humor. She had everything prepped and ready to go, and kept the class moving right along. We prepared and ate four different delicious Vietnamese dishes using the freshest local ingredients. WOW! At the end, she made sure to invite us back for next year. It was a joyful experience, one we will always remember and treasure. From our family to this gracious Vietnamese family, a heartfelt “thank you” for your kindness, hospitality and hard work.

Loved this! The crew were professional, on time, and the experience was great. After a short bud trip we hit the local market and tried some fresh veg and fruit as well as seeing some of the fish available. Next we had the half-bamboo bucket boat experience - its a whole experience! You have a river cruise, a show, tonnes of pictures, test a traditional fish trap and get spun around like a tumble drier! (Only if you ask!). Next we got down to cooking - four dishes from banh xien (pancakes) to the most awesome papaya salad! I am allergic to shellfish and this wasn't an issue whatsoever! We then ate, chatted, happened upon a vietnamese wedding (300 people!), and were dropped off at our tailor to do our final fitting. Excellent food, people and experience - do it.

Great small, friendly tour. The market was so interesting, we got to try lots of local food. The boat ride so much fun. Our hosts for the tour were so warm and friendly it was like being part of the family and the class and food was amazing. Would highly recommend. We will be back .

The experience was outstanding, walking through the markets tasting the different fruits, a bamboo bucket boat tour (which was a whole experience on its own) and an amazing cooking experience. I definitely recommend this tour.

Amazing trip, very much appreciated. Long, Lai and Duyen were amazing hosts. Kai providing all of the laughs on the boat, Duyen teaching us how to cook Vietnamese food in their home and Long running the whole process. Could not recommend enough!

We had a great afternoon! We enjoyed the cooking class very much. We made 4 nice dishes and there was plenty of food (and water). We had good support and from the nice lady and everything worked very well. The round boats were touristy but it was still funny and an experience. Especially the fishing was interesting and I was happy to see they put the fishes back into the water. In general everything was well organized!

We had an amazing time on our Hoi An tour. We were picked up by Mr Long who took us to a local market to purchase produce for our lunch. He was very informative and told us about the different parts of the market and product. We then went to the basket boats and had a lot of fun and laughs with Lie. He showed us how to fish with a net and a rod. We then went on to cook our lunch with Duyen. We cooked 4 delicious dishes there was soo much food. I can’t wait to cook these dishes when I go home. Thankyou to Mr Long and his beautiful family for our wonderful day.

Excellent experience! A must do when you come to Hoi An. We visited the market, went on the boat ride, did a little fishing, went back to the restaurant and learned to cook 4 dishes.

An Incredible and authentic experience with the small family business. Long’s knowledge was very informative with great humour. Duyen was our personal cook. She offered a great cooking class with local organic food. So flavoursome and filling. Definitely worth the investment. Highly recommend this tour to get a whole experience in Hoian! Cam On!!!

The local marked was full of new impressions and tastes, it was nice to get away from the tourist streets. Bamboo basket boat ride is a must in Hoi An, although very touristy. I got to try throwing fishing nets and trying to find some crabs, although I would love to have stayed longer. The cooking class was the highlight of the tour. Amazing food, prepared by ourselves with guidance from the very nice lady. The food was plenty and so tasty!

My husband and I would highly recommend this tour. Long and his family/team were wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed the cooking class in particular. It was an amazing trip! We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the food market. After learning about the food, we made our way to the boat. We took a journey on the bamboo boats ,which was a lot of fun where we went fishing and crab fishing. Then we started making the meals. We had 4 different courses that easily filled me up. The teaching was great and easy to understand English. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and I would do it again.

Had an awesome tour that exceeded all expectations! Our guide was super helpful, walking us through a bustling food market and explaining all about Vietnamese cooking ingredients. Then we hopped on coconut boats, cruised the river, did some fishing, and even caught a crab. The cooking class was fantastic, really informative, and since it was a family-run business, it made the experience even nicer. Definitely a tour worth recommending!
