My husband and a friend of ours toured the Jewish Ghetto and Doge's Palace with Lucia in early December. The tour was incredibly meaningful. You could really feel just how important the ghetto is to her, both from a historical perspective and by her deep love of the vibrant community of people that live and work there today. This was an awesome tour to kick start our time in Venice. Lucia is passionate about her city and knows so much! We loved doing the ghetto (gheto) tour as it gave us a great appreciation of this part of Venice, the history and stories of inspirational people. We had a wonderul tour with Lucia through Cannaregio and the ghetto. Lucia is such a warm person and full of humor, knowledge and stories. We enjoyed our time with her immensely and really learned a lot! Lucia also was great with the children of some of the other participants. This is one of the best tours my wife and I have taken. Lucia shared the history not only of the ghettos, but also of Venice in order to set the foundation and give us a better understanding of it all. She is great story teller and very passionate about what she does. She made the tour interactive and fun while immersing us in the history of the ghettos but also Venice. She even went above and beyond by sharing recommendations of some of her favorite spots in Venice and offering herself as a resource for the rest of her visit. I think this was the best tour I've ever been on! Lucia has a wealth of knowledge and was able to bring the history and current state of Jewish culture and community in Venice to life. It was an incredible lens through which to experience the city, could not recommend this tour more highly. We were also just so impressed she was able to answer our many, many questions. We did the tour in Italian yesterday and I must say we had a great time. Lucia is ray of sunshine in cold Venice (it's Winter). She makes even the most uninteresting corner really interesting 😊. We explored a part of Venice that I've never been to (and this is my 5th tine here) - we fell in love with Cannaregio. Our family of four had a private tour of the Ghetto with Lucia last week. Lucia was the most informed, interesting, and sweetest tour guide we have ever had! She truly made us feel like a local. She clearly has a serious passion about history and sharing the history of her city with others. She has an incredible background working in the US, France, and Italy, and therefore she is able to share informative context while on the tour. Our tour, the Canareggio and Jewish Ghetto tour, was fantastic. While on the tour she was able to tell us about the history as well as the modern culture of the former ghetto. She has many friends she has made in the area which definitely added to the experience to be able to talk about how the Jewish community is reestablishing roots in Venice. At the end of the tour she sat with us for a few minutes to provide us recommendations for the remainder of our trip for great spots to see, cool stores, and excellent Venetian food. Given her clear intelligence and passion I am sure any tour with her would be fantastic.

We took 2 wonderful tours with Lucia! A private and a small group tour, both were amazing, since is she is a very knowledgeable guide. As a art historian she obviously knows a lot about the towns history and art but she also told us many things about the life in her hometown Venice. Currently Venice has few tourists and it was an absolute joy to walk around and enjoy some museums as well! We felt safe with all measures being taken. Not all museums have reopend yet that's why the city tours made our stay absolutely memorable. If you love Venice we would defintely recommend Lucia's walks and tours

Lucia was a fantastic tour guide for the start of our visit to Venice. She arrived promptly at the arranged time. Lucia shared a lot information about Venice and the Jewish Ghetto during the tour and she answered all (a lot!!) of our questions. This was a great tour of the Jewish ghetto area.Lucia, the guide, was very knowledgable and pointed out things we would not have noticed had we just wondered around on our own. She spoke English well and was able to make the tour interesting. Afterwards she took us to a local place which had really good coffee. She also took us to a couple of shops we wanted to visit. Good communication after booking about where to meet and Lucia also suggested changing the time slightly to avoid the carnival crowds, which was helpful. I would highly recommend this tour with Lucia as the guide.
