The best Historic Walking Tour I have ever been on. Our guide was Karen, she was a fantastic, passionate historian, who was very interesting to listen too and made the walking tour enjoyable with all her knowledge of Dresden, the history of the buildings, the area and further afield. I highly recommend this walking tour and if you're lucky to get Karen you're fortunate too.

Our guide Seema was personable and knowledgeable. We were a small group and she made sure to point out facts and historical curiosities that may interest each one of us, including a pre-teen kid who was there with this parents.

It was a nice tour around the Old City with stories to make it more interesting. The guide is native English speaker. She was considerate of cold and of mobility issues.

While our guide, Karen, was excellent, this tour was a little strange and underwhelming. As everyone knows Dresden was bombed so every building is rebuilt so only somewhat original. On our tour we did not go inside any buildings, even the original Church which was rebuilt. Another of the couples on our tour used a cane so the speed was significantly slowed down and make it feel like we saw very, very little of the city. We did not cross the bridge or even walk to it, and only went inside the grotto. Overall it was a good overview of the city but I was left feeling like we missed out on a more complete tour due to the speed of the group.

The tour guide was excellent. She had not only a deep knowledge of the history of Dresden and Germany, but was clearly well-versed in global history and was able to relate to the various attendees from different countries. We got to see some great areas of the city and learn a lot.

Laura Park was a great guide! She shared a wealth of knowledge expertly, and her personality was charming. Highly commend this tour with her.

Karen was very knowledgeable and related well to everyone in the group. I would have preferred more walking and less talking.

Despite the rainy weather, our tour guide Laura made the experience worthwhile and enjoyable. She was upbeat, informative and attuned to her audience. We highly recommend the tour!

The tour guide was so knowledgeable and gave us real sense of how Dresden came to be where it is today. Excellent at answering questions and accommodating the group.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and Laura and Leo as our guides. Laura was very fun, knowledgeable, and passionate about the history of Dresden and Europe in general. I am very happy we did this tour, because it really made us understand and appreciate the city and it’s history and architecture. The tour definitely made our day trip to Dresden worth it. Leo was also very patient and took some excellent pictures for us!

Laura was our guide and originally from England. She’s lived in Germany for quite some time and was an excellent guide. We’ve been touring Germany for three weeks now and have done several guided tours and she has been the best. What she did particularly well was establish the big picture of what she was going to cover before heading off to show specifics. She was witty and knowledgeable and humble. Dresden is a marvelous city to be sure but having Laura there to guide you through it was icing on the cake. Thank you Laura!

Best to see the old theatre platzt sights by arriving via the bridge over the elbe .what a wonderful sight. Note very hard to get a taxi at this area i h ad a difficulty getting back to the railway station 3 8klm away

Wolfgang was our tour guide and he was so friendly and engaging and passionate about the history of Dresden. I liked that he was willing to extend the tour beyond two hours because he could sense everyone did not want the tour to end. What a charming and delightful man Wolfgang is . Unfortunately we had to leave early because we had overlapping tickets to see the treasures of the green vault. I encourage every visitor to Dresden to book this walking tour . Our leader was a seasoned tour guide who really knew her stuff. Fascinating from beginning to end. I know that these walking tours can be hit or miss, often times led by students or people new to the area. But our guide is a longtime resident and professional with the tourism bureau who was excellent.

Karen done a fabulous job but don’t know why, it happened that the so called small group guided tour become a large group over 20 peoples. 😢

This was one of the finest walking tours that I have ever taken. She was a historian and had come to Dresden to assist with the reconstruction/ restoration. Her knowledge of the city was fascinating. She was enthusiastic and interesting and none of us minded that she went long. I could have listened for hours. Well worth the time and money.

this was one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. Karen is full of knowledge and is a fantastic storyteller - her tour ended with a few of us in emotional tears about the history of the city! She was easy to understand and engaging and we learned so much about this city in just a few hours. She even gave us 20 minutes extra time because my group was so full of questions which was very appreciated. after this tour we regret not staying in Dresden of a few more days. Highly recommend this tour to do first day!
