The tour with Hiro was amazing. We got much informations and she was really kind and interrested in satisfying us. Unfortunatly the wheater was not good but we did the best.

We had a fabulous full day with our guide Mariko. She first took us up the gondola to My Shosha where we walked to see Engyoji Temple and more. We even rang the huge bell by swinging a timber! Next was a delicious lunch at a Japanese restaurant. Then we enjoyed the castle gardens and tour through the grounds and to the top of Himeji castle. Mariko stayed an extra 1.5 hours with us and told us many interesting facts and stories. She took our photos along the way and suggested good places to photograph the castle. We were delighted to be able to visit during peak cherry blossom season. Finally, she walked us to the top of a commercial building for a final view of the castle nestled amongst the myriad of cherry blossoms. Mariko walked us to the covered vendor-lined street that led straight back to the train station. We truly enjoyed everything and thank Mariko for her great tour!

Our tour guide, Rie, made our day in Himeji very memorable. She was excellent and extremely knowledgable about Himeji Castle. She also paid very close attention to our needs throughout the day. I would highly recommend this tour. I hope you get Rie for your tour guide.

My husband and I were very appreciative of her special care with not rushing us. We highly recommend this tour and hope that you get Rie as a tour guide. We got lucky enough to go with Hiromi to Himeji castle. She was very nice and friendly and funny. She was very informative about the history of the area and the castle itself. She had phrased the tour like an assault on the castle calling out the castles tricks and stratagems on unsuspecting invaders. The garden tour afterwards was quite nice as she showed us flowers of the area and the meaning behind them.

We were lucky to have been guided by Hiromi Mizoi. She was very knowledgeable in the history of the Himeji castle and also knew the best places to avoid crowds and take excellent pictures. She was very helpful with other ideas and other things we wanted to know about Himeji and more. She is a fully licensed guide all over Japan and she can regale you with the history of Japan.

The guide is excellent and very knowledgeable of this tour. The sites we visited were just extraordinary and almost out of this world experience (I suppose it would be as the castle and areas visited were very ancient). We enjoyed it really well. Himeji castle is exquisitely beautiful. Himeji garden is beautiful. Mt. Shosha (where scenes of The Last Samurai - Tom Cruise were taken) is just as beautiful. We love this experience. The whole day is long and takes a lot of walking. We highly recommend this tour! Incredibly sublime.

Had a really fantastic day in Himeji thanks to Yama who has gone above and beyond for me. The day was very well planned and personalised to match all my preferences. Yama is the most knowledgeable and friendly guide you can ask for, he made me laugh a lot and even showed places to try local cuisine. Absolutely recommend!

We had a very enjoyable and informative tour of Himeji Castle and the Koko-en Gardens. Yama-San brought us to a local soba noodle house where we enjoyed a tasty lunch. We ended the tour with a fun tour of a sake brewery which included sampling some of the fine products. A terrific day in Himeji with a 5 star tour guide.

Hiromi-san, our guide, provide an itinerary before our arrival. It is very helpful to orient ourselves to the venue. We manage to see the Himeji castle, Koko-en garden, and Hiromino shrine in one day. It was an eventful experience. Hiromi is a knowlegable guide, she knows her stuff, and has a pleasant personality. I would recommend her highly for a tour in Himeji!

Mr Yama was a great tour guide. Everyone on our trip enjoyed our day with him. Mr Yama is knowledgeable about what he’s showing you and makes every effort to arrange your tour to your exact likes and hopes. A couple of things we wanted to do were closed for maintenance and Mr Yama knew what was open and what was closed and offered great alternatives. I would totally recommend this tour and Mr Yama as a tour guide.

With Nishi, we visited the Himeji castle, which was spectacular! She pointed out many interesting facts about the castle that we probably would not have known if we didn’t have her. She took us to a wonderful Japanese restaurant located within Koko-en gardens and got to try their local conger eel and wagyu beef while sitting next to the window looking at the koi’s in the pond and waterfall. She gave us pointers for where to go shopping and dining for dinner. We had a wonderful experience in Himeji with Nishi!

The vast knowledge of the guide was freely shared with us. She was friendly, attentive to our interests and totally accommodating. We have done countless excursions all over the world and Hiromi ranks as one of the top three. She personalized our tour for us. She was enthusiastic and justifiably proud of her city and anxious to share it with us. We highly highly recommend Hiromi for anyone visiting Himeji. Her knowledge of the castle and city are unsurpassed.

One of the best tours I've had. Our guide Yama was an incredibly knowledgeable and fun guide for us. His English was very easy to understand and we definitely appreciated his great sense of humor. Even went out of his way near the end of the tour to take us by certain restaurants that he personally recommended based on what we were in the mood to eat. Would definitely book again!

We had a fantastic day with our guide Yama. He was good fun to be with and had a great sense of humour! We chose to use taxis rather than the bus to get us to Engyo-ji Temple and the sake brewery to give us more time. The temple in the mountains was lovely and peaceful and Yama told us was where Tom Cruise filmed one of the scenes from The Last Samauri. Himeji Castle is beautiful and Yama gave us lots of historical information to bring the visit to life. The garden was pretty with lots of small bridges and koi ponds. Finally we walked around the outside of the sake brewery which had brewing information and history and tasted a few different sakes in the shop afterwards. Thank you Yama for a wonderful day!

Great Private tour with our knowledgeable guide Hiro that guide us thru Himeji Castle and other point attractions arund the area including the secrets of the 'The Last Samurai' Temple. Really recommended tour for first time in Himeji and/or in Japan.

Himeji is more than the castle, and thanks Nishi we discover it. She was very kind, and lead us to the most important spots in Himeji, the castle, the gardens and to the mountains near to visit temples. Was an excellent experience, worth absolutely , and the guide Nishi was the best.

Norio was a very knowledgeable guide. From the very beginning of the tour, he started sharing the history of Himeji. He also shared some of the folkloric tales of the sites. He took us to multiple sites in the area and made sure to tell us about their historical significance as well as how they were related to the current layout of the city.
