We embarked on the Ultimate Segway tour, bringing along our four teenage daughters, one of whom was celebrating her 18th birthday. This was our second time riding, and it was the first time for our teenagers, who absolutely loved it! Opting for the 2-hour ultimate tour, we wanted a guided exploration of the Nature Preserve encircling the Costal Discovery Museum, along with the anticipated fun of cruising around on Segways through wooded paths and the park areas adjacent to the Preserve. Our experience exceeded expectations! Gliding around the beautiful grounds on a Segway was one of the highlights of our Hilton Head trip. Our guide, Kim, was amazing! We all loved the adventure, particularly the pauses to explore various sights along the route. Kim's expert explanations and historical insights were icing on the cake! We learned a lot of interesting stories and facts that we would have otherwise missed had we explored the grounds independently. Moreover, the thoughtful gesture by Hilton Head Segway of preparing a birthday gift for our 18-year-old daughter added a special touch to our day. This was the best trip I have planned. To be honest after watching the safety video I was nervous bit Elizabeth was so patient and kind I became more confident in riding the Segway. I very much enjoyed learning about the Gullah people and the owners of Hilton Head. I also enjoyed everything about the tour.

My spouse and I love to do Segway tours when we travel (San Diego, Scottsdale Old Town, Atlanta….) and the HHI Ultimate Tour was, hands down, the absolute best. Firstly, the tour was on a beautiful preserve and we went around a lake at one point, so it was in beautiful surroundings. Our guide was personable and knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history and natural environment of HHI on the tour. The segways have bigger tires than a normal city segway, so we were perfectly safe on the grass and trails. And most of all, it was incredibly fun!! An extra bonus was the green market that was taking place on the grounds, so we got to walk through the market after the tour was over.

Our tour guide was the best! Seriously she was so much fun and made the tour great! Liz, thank you for making this so much fun from my teens!! I was so happy to see them put their phones down for the entire time!!

We’d never ridden a Segway before, and it was easy to learn and SO much fun! We enjoyed learning about the area and getting to ride around on all the trails. This was our very favorite activity we did!

booked on the morning of tour we booked a 90 mins guided tour and it didnt disappoint chris our guide was brilliantvery thorough explained everything the grounds we went through were beautiful and steeped with history .... we were took to see alligators and then took through the trees and hidden pathways where i misjudged the ditance from a tree and fell off (😂😂😂😂) tree was un hurt ... i cant thank chris enough for a relly enjoyable 90 mins which went too quickly would reccomend this to anyone

Very fun and learned a lot about Hilton Head history. Our guide was very patient with teaching my wife to ride the Segway. The Segways were a blast.

Chris our guide was great. He made us feel comfortable on the segways before taking off for our adventure. He made a point to show us the alligators on the one part of the trip. He then brought a us around trails to weave in and out. My 13 year old son said it was the best part of the trip

We had an amazing Segway tour with Janet .. she gave us a fantastic narrated tour where we learned some really great facts about the history of Hilton Head and the local ecosystem. The tour took us through some beautiful trails with breathtaking scenery - the two hours were well worth it and Janet is the guide you want.

Bob was an outstanding tour guide. Although all were experienced Segway riders, he took the time to make sure we were confident riding before beginning the tour. The pace was just right, Bob's narration was both informative and entertaining. The venue was just right, from the Honey Home Plantation tour, and then to Jarvis park. Well worth the time and the $$ spent, and thanks once again to Bob for being our host!

Elizabeth, our tour guide was incredible and super kind. We had a wonderful time learning about the location and about South Carolina history. We definitely recommend this tour to anyone who would want to get on a Segway and venture around. Super safe and fun!

We've taken tours with Hilton Head Segway in previous years. Each time was fun and informative. We were a group of four. I called rather than book a tour over the web - my choice - and they were very polite and accomadating.

Chris was are guide. He was great on our tour. Me and my wife have not been a segway ever! Made means my wife feel comfortable. All four of us had a lot of fun on the 90 minute tour. YES I would recommend the segway tour.

Our guide Larry was great! It was a gorgeous day. We learned the techniques and then went on our way over many trails through the woods and on regular paths. Would do it again! Fun time!

We went on the Ultimate Tour today with Elizabeth and it was THE BEST! From the very beginning, Elizabeth made us all feel comfortable on the Segway and took time with my daughter who was a bit nervous at first. Elizabeth was great sharing the history of the island on the tour and lots of great information along the way. We had a ton of fun and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something different to do!

This was an amazing experience! My family and I had never ridden segways prior to this trip. Despite our being nervous, Chris made it easy for us to learn. We watched the video and he worked with us each individually to make sure we knew what we were doing. He explained the island's history along the way and answered our questions. We saw 2 alligators, one of them up close as it swam toward us near the dock. It was a wonderful ride, fun and exciting. We are planning to return to the island and include this segway tour as part of our trip.

We enjoyed every bit of the tour. Our guide(Elizabeth)was top notch and seemed to be very knowledgeable about the park and its history. Her enthusiasm made for such an enjoyable experience and we highly recommend the tour.
