Quite scenic, Laszlo has extensive insight into the wildlife and plants of the hike. Have him demo his app for bird identification. He was great about ensuring everyone was properly on their way post-hike (bus/metro). Very personable. You should seek out his custom website. Lunch was authentic& delicious.

As keen hikers we were immediately attracted to this half-day hike in the Buda Hills. We were very lucky with the weather, easy joining instructions, and our guide Laszlo kept us informed in the days before the hike. After a short bus ride our walk began at Normafa where you have gorgeous views down over the city. A gradual ascent through the woods brought us to the amazing Elizabeth Lookout Tower, then on to a small cave - with Laszlo explaining the history of the area and sharing his in-depth knowledge of the flora and fauna - it was lovely to discover he shared my passion for mushrooms! A second tower (a wooden, double-helix structure - beautifully constructed) provided further amazing views, and here we were presented with our certificates and badges! I almost forgot to mention the delicious strudel which is included in the tour price - yummy! If you love the great outdoors and want to get out of the city for a while, this is the perfect tour - Laszlo was amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable.

After several days in the city, we wanted to do something different and getting out to go hiking on the outskirts of downtown was a great way to do it. You’ll also enjoy a few epic views of the countryside from some amazing lookouts on several hilltops. Seeing the wonders of Budapest from that vantage point was unique and exhilarating. What was great was that we were able to discuss the history of Hungary, the current climate in the country, as well as learn about the natural world, including the flora and fauna surrounding us. I strongly recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys hiking and wants a break from the concrete of downtown. Laszlo, thanks for a great day!

It was a great hiking experience for me. The guide Laszlo was interesting and informative. The views were amazing. Except hiking we had an opportunity to visit children operated train station. It was its 76-th birthday.

Got to see a very different side of Budapest. Beautiful green scenery mixed in with a very pleasant walking trail. The view from the various viewing points was spectacular. The guide, Laszlo was very knowledgeable and personable and I had great conversations with him which added even more value to this experience. A must go for hiking enthusiast and nature lovers alike. I was booked onto the ‘highest point hike’ by Journee as part of my itinerary for my trip to Budapest. I was apprehensive as this was my first hike but Laszlo was great and it was an easy hike! It was just myself and Laszlo on the hike and he was very informative on Budapest and we had stops along the way to look at viewpoints. It is a must do when visiting Budapest, the views are incredible!

Best decision we made when in Budapest was to go on this hiking tour with a very well knowledged tour guide who knew about the surroundings, flora, fauna, history and so much more. My 60 year old mum and I enjoyed the 3 HR tour so much and recommend it to everyone.

I cannot recommend this enough! Budapest is a wonderful city and there are many things to do in the city, but getting to hike outside the hustle and bustle in the hills of Normafa (in the snow!) was breathtaking. Snow is not typical, so we got lucky and hiked in a winter wonderland. Because of this, we had to sacrifice the amazing views at the top of the Elizabeth Tower, but it was worth the trade. One day we will do it again on a clear day and see the views, but it was incredible for a girl from Florida to have a hiking experience in the snow. Lászlo is a wonderful guide and taught so many things about the local nature and about Hungary in general.

I would highly recommend this hike with Laszlo. It was well organised, laszlo is very friendly, knowledgeable about the landscape, history of Budapest, mushrooms and birds. There was never a dull moment. The views were spectacular. Laszlo knew the area well and we went on different routes. He structure the pace of the walk to meet individual needs The langlos was massive and delicious!

It was an amazing experience with Laszlo! He really knows what he does. He told us stories of all historical places and even more. We learnt information about trees and plants, even birds that are there in the forest. The good part of hiking with an experienced guide is that you don't need to guess which paths are the best. And we went to off-the-beaten paths trails that were unforgettable. Laszlo takes you to the best spots for amazing views of Budapest, like lookout tower and others. I highly recommend this tour with Laszlo because by yourself you will never enjoy and find all hidden spots of nature!

The guide is a passionate advocate for the environment and for Hungarian heritage and he is a very engaging storyteller. I highly recommend this hiking trip!

Laszlo was a great tour guide. Really knowledgeable about the local area, nature and it's history. The hike itself has some steep parts, but very manageable and I felt safe hiking in my walking sandals. It can get very windy but I was made to feel comfortable throughout.

Laszlo was absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable about the beautiful hills we hiked. Such a fun time and even stopped for a pastry and also enjoyed riding the bus with him!
