Juan was an excellent guide - full of great information, making the trek interesting and engaging. This was our first time in La. Gomera and his insights into the island were fascinating. Would thoroughly recommend.

Juan was quite an engaging and personable guide. His local, botanical and trail knowledge was exceptional. He had special areas on the trail we took to convey stories and botanical insights. There were six of us on the tour. Unfortunately, some participants were there for a workout and not an emersion into the beauty of the rain forest. Juan was completely understandable and colorful. I highly recommend this tour

Juan was a minefield of information and answered pretty much all of our questions before we asked him. He knew lots about history and nature and customs. My daughter and I were the only ones on the trip and we were picked up on time at Hotel Gran Rey. It was so nice to be up high in nature and with great views. We wore walking boots which we were glad of as the paths can be wet and slippery. Having gained some knowledge I feel confident we can now walk in the Garajonay National Park unguided in the future. We learnt a lot. Thank you.

We booked Juan on our cruise when we were on La Gomera for a day. Our interest was to be guided on a tour in Garajonay National park. In fact we can can highly recommend Juan as a guide. He arrived in time at the meeting point, drove us back and forth, led us through the forest and answered all our questions. It seemed as if he knew every tree by it‘s name. If you are interested in the special vegetation of La Garajonay just choose Juan.

We (my mother and me) had a very good time with Juan, he showed and explained a lot about the Garajonay. We enjoyed this experience.

Juan picked us from our hotel and took us on a lovely walk through the forest. Great knowledge of the forest and how the ecology is changing with global warming. Also talked about local history and took us to viewpoints on the way too and from the forest.

Wonderful hike in the Garajonay laurisilva forest. Good communications. Juan was a lovely guide who got just the right amount of information to us so we could appreciate the trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day. Juan was a relaxed and informative guide who pointed out lots of different trees and vegetation in this beautiful national park as well as giving us an insight into the history and customs of the island. We had plenty of opportunities to take photos and ask questions and we were very lucky to have Juan to ourselves as it was just the three of us on the walk. The pickup from our hotel was on time and communication of the arrangements was clear and efficient. I can thoroughly recommend this guided walk.

This was an amazing experience. Our guide Juan picked us up at our hotel and then we spent about four hours in this beautiful national park. Juan was so nice and so full of knowledge! We learnt a lot about the forest, about all specimen and species, but also about the history of the island and the people who used to live here back in the days. Juan also told a lot of interesting stories and showed us things along the way to and back from the Garajonay. Have in mind that it’s a bit colder up in the mountains, at least in the morning, so bring a jacket ;) This journey and the hike in the Garajonay really made us wanna come back here again.

A really good tour!! Juan (the guide) is super Nice and passionate. He stops all the places on the Way you want to take photos. He has very interessant stories about the Island!

A great day spent with Juan, driving from San Sebastian to Garajonay and a reasonably easy walk in the forest there (sensible footwear advised). We would love to come back for another hike next year. Great trip, great guide. Absolutely recommended, especially if you want some interesting background history of the island and its population.

Our trip was a great introduction to La Gomera and the Garajonay park. We came across on the first ferry from Tenerife for the day. Our guide Juan responded quickly to an email request to meet us at the port. He drove us to and from the park with various interesting stops along the way. As others have noted Juan is extremely knowledgeable and gave us a lot of fascinating insights into both the history and the natural environment of the island. We will have to go back!

Can only recommend this trip. Juan is very knowledgeable about the Garajonay and the island in general. I learnt so much about La gomera in a few hours. 10/10
