Amazing hike with the best tour guides, gave us a lot of information regarding the history of Albania and gave us a lot of good recommendations in town as well. Would recommend this tour to anyone heading to Albania.

The views along the hike were beautiful. The hike consists mainly of a upwards zigzag, and isn't too difficult if you've done hiking before. There is a restaurant at the top where we had our lunch. Our tour guide, Idris, is very friendly and kept us engaged throughout the hike. Highly recommend for the sights and the experience!

The day trip was really really exciting and fun! We climbed up the Gamti Mountain and enjoyed the amazing view above Tirana until the ocean. Our next step was the Bovilla Lake and the view was amazing. Our guide Renato was really well informed about the Albania’s history and different topics about his country and culture. He made our trip unique! Thank you so much!

I spontaneously booked at the office in tirana in the day before because my hotel was nearby. In the office, I was given very friendly advice by the employee. The guide picked me up at the hotel on time. He answered all my questions about Albania and Tirana and spoke excellent English. The tour is ideal for a day trip. On the mountain and at the vantage point above the lake you can experience breathtaking nature.

We had a really good experience on this tour. Bovilla lake was beautiful, and had lots of opportunities for photos. The walk was easy overall, with a one or two small sections that were less easy, but there was a cafe/restaurant halfway up to take a break with a lovely view. Our guide, Edi, was very friendly and taught us lots about Albanian culture and history, he also recommended restaurants in Tirana to us. Along the walk, we were able to talk go locals through Edi, which was a great experience. Choose Balkans were very helpful in organising the tour. Sirma answered all of the questions I had really quickly. We would recommend a tour with them.

We recently had a day hiking tour to Bovilla lake near Tirana, the entire experience was amazing. Our guide Fabio was very knowledgeable and patient with are pace during the hike. I would highly recommend this tour, if you are in Tirana!

The tour was well organised with pick up from our accommodation and clear communication from the beginning. The hike was a bit challenging, so make sure to bring good shoes and water, but it was sooo worth it! We were the only ones on the trail and the views along the way and once we reached the top were breath taking. Extra plus, our "exquisite" ;) guide Dritan! He speaks perfect English, is very knowledgable and friendly and we had a really good time together. He cares a lot about making everyone feel comfortable and explained a lot about his country! He even took a lot of pictures of us and helped us organising a taxi to the airport. If you are into hiking and nature we really recommend doing this tour! Falimederit Dritan! :)

3 hours hike up the mountain, 2 hours down. some parts are steep so make sure to stay hydrated and wear proper hiking gear. fantastic views of the bovilla lake from 1268m above. all in all a wonderful unforgettable day climb. and of course, great funny guide in Dritan-kun desu ne!

I couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide, dritan had an abundance of knowledge of the area and was very engaging with everyone in the group. He was very considerate of everyone’s fitness levels, and adjusted plans to suit everyone. Expect steep incline and some loose rock, appropriate footwear and clothing required. The view from the top is incredible!

This is the one of my favorite tours ever! I’ve seen so many amazing views in many countries and this is one of those rare ones that you actually have to “work for” – what a wonderful achievement! Admittedly, not the easiest coz you have to go hiking hilltop towards the mountain, but absolutely enjoyable (just make sure you wear comfy clothes and hiking shoes). My tour guide Ledjo had been so supportive and clear about the expectations, so I knew exactly what was gonna happen and what kind of amazing views awaited me! He was very patient and understanding every time I’d need to rest, and he took some beautiful photos of me like a pro, yay! Likewise, Sirma was superb in coordinating all my tours (including airport pick-up when I first arrived). So, my huge thanks to both Ledjo and Sirma for this memorable tour! I’d definitely recommend this tour agency to friends who might want to visit in the near future 😊. 2 thumbs up!!!

We have a wonderful experience on a hiking day tour to Bovilla lake & Gamti mountain today. The hiking is kind of enjoyable under chilly weather, some rocky roads, stones climbing a little bit to staircases lead to a balcony with stunning view of the whole crystal jade water lake! We have such a fun day of hiking :)
