5 of us from the Uk and France boked with Phil. He collected us and dropped us back afer for a small extra cost which ws very helpful. We were a bit nervous at first but he guided us patiently and with encouragement we all got to the top in 2 hours and had a wonderful view of CT. Thanks again! Joan + co.

Phil made climbing lion's head a really special experience for our group! He made us feel safe at all times, and helped us to negotiate the more challenging sections of the route. He was more than happy to answer all our questions and point out the landmarks of Cape town that we could as we climbed. The chat was easy and we all felt as though we were hiking with another friend. He also took some photos of us and kindly sent us them. Phil was an awesome guide for our morning hike. While we likely would have survived on our own, for our first experience on Lion’s Head, it felt much more comfortable having Phil with us to let us know what to prepare for, what was coming up next on the path, what to be aware of, how close we were to the top, etc. Phil was also great fun to chat with along the way, very knowledgeable, and willing to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel!

After we made the booking Phil quickly contacted us. We had booked a sunset hike, but Phil informed us that unfortunately the weather was not going to allow this. He suggested another time and we accepted. The quick contact, the follow-up, the checking of the weather forecast gave us immediate confidence. Our hike went ahead in perfect weather conditions. Phil took our pace into account throughout the hike. There was a lot of room for questioning and conversation. We felt like we had a friend along for the walk. Not only did we have our personal guide with us, but also our personal photographer. Thanks to Phil, we enjoyed a fantastic hike and on top of it we have great photos. Philip is an amazing guide!!!! He is super accommodating, patient and very friendly. The hike itself is definitely on harder end, however the views are ABSOLUTELY worth the hike. You get a full view of Capetown. I would highly recommend both Philip and this hike!!!!! Will definitely do it again!!!!

Undoubtedly our best experience in Cape Town! Phil was awesome! His guidance and presence made the experience even better. Considering this was our groups first time he made the hike less daunting which was needed. The hike is challenging at certain points, but the sense of accomplishment you feel when you reach the top is indescribable. We did the sunrise hike at 6:00am and the weather was super clear and beautiful! You don't want to miss this!

The hike was amazing! Phil was very flexible regarding where and when to go and adjusted the route to our fitness level. He was very supportive and encouraging during challenging parts and it was very pleasant to hike with him. Phil even picked us up at our accommodation, took pictures of us during the hike and the communication with him was as easy as it could be. We would always do it again :)

Phil was amazing, friendly, easy to chat to and ensured we were safe and enjoying the hike the whole way, even though there was cloud cover, we loved the hike and will do it again when we are next in Cape Town, and Phil will be our one and only port of call

We had such an amazing time with Phil. He is a very cool guy (and guide) that has a lot of knowledge of the city and the Mountain. We ended up doing Lion's Head after talking with him by WhatsApp for a few days to find the perfect day that will fit us and the weather (no sense doing if it's very cloudy). He will take photos throughout the hike that he later send us too which it was great. Will totally recommend it.

I joined 2 other guests on a journey to the top of lions head and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Phil was very careful and friendly, sharing not only his knowledges about the hike itself but also about the city. The views from above were just incredible, even not being there at sunrise time. Be aware that this is a easy to medium difficulty hike, specially if you don’t like being in higher places. Safety wise, is aways better to be accompanied by a local. I would definitely recommend it and if I’m in town I’d to it again.

On 3rd september my partner and i did a beautiful hike to the top of lions head with phil the guide. we began just after sunrise so the views were very special and we heard it is not safe to hike in the dark anyway. there are ladders to help but it is still a little daunting near the top. Phil made us feel always comfortable and safe, we loved the experience and were finished after 3 hours!! the 50 photos he sent us after were a nice touch too ;o)

5 of us of different hiking abilities hiked with the man Phil last weekend. It was a bit cloudy at sunrise but he messaged us to change the time to a sunny hour at 10am which ended up perfect! Amazing views, great conversation and we learnt a lot about S.A and CT Thanks a mill mate 😎

Phil was an amazing guide for our Lion's Head hike in Cape Town. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the history of the hike, and he was able to keep us entertained and engaged throughout the day. He was also very safety-conscious, and he made sure that we were safe during the hike.

Perfect way to get all of the views of the Cape Town area! Phil is an awesome guide to have and make you feel safe through it all! The hike starts off east and gets more challenging as you go!

What a great hike! Our group went in the mid-afternoon and caught the sunset over the ocean. Half of our group wanted to try the "staples and chains" route on the final portion of the hike (very doable, folks! The chains and metal rungs were in good condition and easy to navigate) and the other half of the group wasn't as keen on that, so Phil made it happen both ways. He did a phenomenal job and we all left with wonderful memories.

Great hike and even more amazing guide (Phil)! Incredible views of Cape Town area. Hike started off very easy, then slowly gets more challenging as you get closer to the top. Phil made everything feel super comfortable and safe!
