This was our last day in Tbilisi. This group tour was through tour operator 'Budget Friendly Tours'. We were only 6 members in this tour. We visited Kaketi Winery and gone through stages of wine making and tasted different types of wine. It was a excellent experience. After that we visited Bodbe monastery and had a walk around Signagi town which has a picturesque landscapes, pastel houses and narrow cobblestone streets located on a steep hill. The tour guide, Madi is having good knowledge about wines and history of Georgia. Madi is very energetic and conducted the tour in very professional way. She kept every members of the group in good humour and entertained us through out the tour. Our driver Mr Zaza is very experienced driver. I recommend this tour for all visiting Georgia.

It was a fantastic day with Madi and other three friends. I really enjoyed every spot of the tour. We visited a winery factory in the wine region. We tasted several different kinds of wines there. Madi is really an expert in wines, so we learned a lot. I also bought some bottles of wines from the winery. We also had a chance to bake a bread in front of the winery. It was really fun. The monastery was breathtaking. We had some time there and I really enjoyed there. We also walked around Sighnaghi and had another wine tasting event. Then we visited the wall. All perfect! Lovely day!

Simply put, Madi was the most amazing guide I've ever had. Loving, caring, funny, attentive and knows her history. Went above and beyond to show us her homeland and experience it in the best way possible while sipping carefully selected and handpicked delicious Georgian wine. I can't recommend this experience enough. Hopefully, you'll get Madi as well :)

I booked this tour on a whim and was so glad I did! This is a fabulous day trip with a mix of wine tasting, visit to a beautiful monastery, wonderful views and some history thrown in. Our guide Madi was excellent- personable and caring. The type of person you hope to keep as a friend once you go home. The bus was also new, clean and safe. The air conditioning was also strong. A lot better than buses I've been on for other companies. Don't hesitate to book this trip!

The tour is beyond my expectation! We got both the experience of wine tasting in a more industrialized winery, and also family owned (non-commercial) one. Madi (our lovely guide) has such contagious positive energy, and she's super knowledgeable about wine, Georgian cuisine, history and culture. George (our driver) was also very punctual and safe in getting us to our lovely destinations. I'd fully recommend to book this tour! ;)

We have booked this trip encouraged by another trip we participated in with the same company. Our guide, Madi, was super friendly and helpful, and wine tasting was overall a great experience! We still had time though to see some cultural highlights and enjoy the Kakheti landscape. Would definitely recommend! :)

Really loved our Ray of Sunshine Tour Guide, Madi! She’s really energetic, brought up the energy in the group. We started with TKW Winery where we tried 4 types of wine and also brandy and the one we liked the most was Khvanchkara. Madi is a native Kakhetian and she has such impressive knowledge about wine making and also types of wine, she could just smell it and she can say what wine it is! We then went to Bodve where she took soooo many nice pictures of us. The last winery we visited had very delicious Peach Chacha! This was my 3rd Kakheti visit and all 3 times were so good in its own way. We also went Sighnaghi, and walked along the wall and just beautiful experience! Would love to take other Madi’s tours too! Thanks so much, Madi!

This trip is definitely a great pick for wine lovers - 2 wine tastings are included and at neither location they are stingy with wine samples. I had a great time not only thanks to amazing Georgian wine but also thanks to our lovely energetic tour guide Chinka. She's a source of positivity and good vibes, at the same time she's knowledgeable and dependable. I also enjoyed visiting Bodbe and Signagi - actually wouldn't have minded spending a bit more time strolling around the latter.

I’ve done this specific tour a total of three times now, and i’m sure I won’t stop at three. For the following reasons : - - The love and passion of the tour guides, a quick round of applause for Chinka and Lascha for being hands down both the most talented and energetic people i’ve ever met. Their combined energy is absolutely captivating, and together they made an already memorable tour, much more memorable. - Beso was an incredible driver and ensured we were comfortable and on time everywhere. - The tour, it was different from the first two times and i think it was much better now. The main part of the tour is kept the same with just a few tweaks and better additions. The quality of the tour, and the historical knowledge by the tour guides is perfect, it’s amazing to see the love and passion they have in their eyes and words when talking to the people on the tour. They provide ample time at every stop to go around and explore, as well as had two pit stops to ensure everyone is comfortable. If i were to recommend any tour to do in Georgia, this is hands down my Number 1 go to recommendation. The people on the trip, the tour guides, the scenery, everything is perfect. I’ll definitely be back for a fourth and even fifth time. I’ll never forget hibyeguyNo.9 and ChinkaNo.7, you guys were awesome and made this so worthwhile.

We had a lovely day tasting all the different wines of Georgia. Chinka was the best host and she explained a lot about the making of wine and traditions. The villages we've been are super cute.

I had used an excellent Viator -offered day trip in Georgia the day before, going into Armenia, and it was stellar and the main goal of excursion on my first trip to Georgia. Honestly months ago in building this trip of course the attraction of Kazbeg and Gudauri was enticing, but as I have trepidation from anticipated hairpin, precipitous mountain roads, having crossed into Tibet from Kathmandu in 1999, I opted for more open and flatter country, and so thus I booked this Kakheti wine tasting-Bodbe- Sighnagi trip.I also have enough mountains back in Virginia. This excursion is a must, especially for folks who think they know wine making.I am no expert by any means but found it fascinating. These are the people that first created wine 8,000 years ago in clay pots in the Neolithic era.The stages of the wine about which we learned was bested by the delicious sampling of the stages..new early wine, light and semi- sweet and then full bodied strong, all preceded by an optional bread -baking on our own in a large traditional fire-brick heated oven. The modern vats we saw were huge, most with wine at different stages of controlled fermentation, of which we tasted. From the first tasting on then to the second one near Bodbe, we had the chance to try their CHA CHA, or Raki to many. Not disappointing, as I have had a lot offered in Kosovo and Crete. The upper elevation of Sighnagi gave stupendous views. The drives out from and return to Tbilisi were very soothing and not long nor arduous. Our driver was excellent and the van used by the booking with Budget Friendly was quite comfortable. The tour led by Lamash(42 yr old male renaissance -spiritual- master -singer-character) and Chinka ( 23 year old young lady of exquisite warmth and exuberance) kept us all in stitches and entertainment even as we pulled out at the start ,to the very end of the trip.It was about a 7 hour joyful day.Perfect! I have been on many Viator sponsored tours and with others, but have never had the experience of a group gelling as fast and as good as the luck of this trip brought forth. We all became good friends.I was certainly the oldest member by far (72) and felt welcomed and part of all, chiefly through the amazing energy of our two leaders and the open warmth of the Indian chaps ( all 24) working out of Dubai. Thanks once again Viator for your ease of research and booking and completion.

We had an amazing trip with the best tour guide ever, Irakli. He was well knowledgeable and gave us lots of information! Our group was a small one which made it even more intimate and enjoyable almost like a private tour. I can not wait to come back and go on other tours with this company!

There are so-so ok day trips and then there are those that the nexus and time/ space infindibulum conjunction cross the border into infinity by which one remembersl life as it should be.If only briefly....This was such a one. I have travelled much in my 72 years and seen much.Groups and trips that pass by and fade off. This trip had our group gelling before we even departed, thanks to the energies of Lasha and Chinka , a team which opened up to us the glories of Georgian wine, spirit, history and immense pride in their country and history. We were all sold immediately in the adventure thanks to them opening up to us the tone and spirit of this great part of their country. They were both indeed a lively bunch for us all. The drive was perfect in length and the van so nice in comfort, the driver Peso was so good one forgot we were on the road, and the lively info given us by our joint guides let us arrive at the stops in great order. I am not wine- knowledgeable at all, but now have a deep appreciation for what I did not know.I especially enjoyed the bread baking exercise in the clay oven and sustaining myself on likely the best bread I have ever eaten after i stuck it in/ on the clay traditional oven.My grandmother would have been jealous! I had seen three monasteries in Armenia the day before with a different company, but quite simply they could not compare with views of and from the church at Bodbe and Sighnagi. To be honest I did not choose the Gudauri high- mountain trip as I have a dread of such precipitous roads ,having crossed the Himalayas from Kathmandu into Tibet in 1999.So this nice long cruise through open country was what my spirit thought , and turned out to be, a peaceful restoration. The views are worth the trip.I would go again. And I want to thank them all in the Budget folks for this adveture and their presentation.God bless them all, and I truly mean that.

The trip was amazing in general. I had so much fun! It was the best group tour that I had. The trip was not that long or maybe it was, but it felt short because they made it so fun. I also enjoyed the wines and the scenery going to the places. The tour guides (Chinka & Lasha) were so nice, friendly and so fun to be with. I will never forget you guys! See you again soon 🤸‍♀️💕
