Our four hour tour with HJ gave us a fantastic introduction to Singapore. HJ was a great guide, thoughtful, happy and he clearly enjoyed sharing his extensive knowledge of Singapore with us. We visited many interesting places, had a super lunch in one of the hawker markets, walked some fascinating streets we would never have found on our own and learnt plenty about Singapore. Due to the extreme heat HJ kindly drove us in his new car to some of the sights which was a welcome relief. Thank you HJ for a wonderful afternoon.

My husband and I booked a very last minute 4 hour tour of the sights of Singapore with HJ it turned out to be a great decision. It was a superb tour hosted by super tour guide, Mr. Ronnie Tan. He is a true gentleman dedicated to his task and always went out of his way to accommodate our needs. Due to short time stay in Singapore, our guests could only enjoy this half day tour with Ronnie who explained every crook and cranny we came across during the tour, bringing an added interesting dimension to the experience. Our Guide Monica was extremely flexible, she met us at a site of our choice, and then came earlier than planned since we had arrived early. She asked us what pace we wanted go at and listened to our request. Monica knew every short cut, every shaded walkway, and every air conditioned path we could take. We covered every major site, saw fantastic hotels, experienced a Buddhist service, and learned a lot of history along the way. Her english was excellent and she truly loved being a tour guide. We would STRONGLY suggest you book her for your Singapore Tour, it was worth every penny. After many years of international travel, we would say she was THE BEST tour guide we have ever had!!!! We had a great day with Jossie in Singapore. She led us to unexpected locations and great views. She shared her broad knowledge about her hometown and gave useful hints and tips for enjoying Singapore the best way. We loved her stories about Singapore‘s history and the architectural features the town has to offer. We won‘t have been to all the spots Jossie led us to and enjoyed the time with her very much. She showed us how to enjoy a hawker visit and introduced us to some new food experiences. Thanks once again for a time totally opposite of boring. All the best from us.

It was loads of fun and very informative Singapore is a wonderful city, full of so many different nationalities and religions. The city is spotlessly clean, people are delightful and, apart from the heat, I love coming back here

Our 4 hour tour of Singapore with Grayson was great. He provided a very understandable review of its complicated history. He gave us a comprehensive tour of important sites including great neighborhoods and important sites not mentioned in the guide books or blogs. He also provided valuable insights and information as to what we should visit on our own. He is thoughtful, patient, very helpful and very well spoken. Michelle Chen of Tours by Locals provided 4 older women an outstanding custom tour of Singapore. We were arriving by plane in the early morning and were due to check onto a cruise ship that afternoon in Singapore. Knowing that the time between the airplane and the cruise ship was the only time available to see Singapore, we engaged Michelle. She was waiting for us when we appeared in the Arrivals hall of the Airport and immediately engaged us by directing us to look at the famous airport waterfall and visit a restroom before we loaded our luggage in the van. We had a wonderful time. Balancing our desire to see as much as possible in the few hours we had with the needs of weary travelers was clearly thought through and managed well. The drive by through the center city worked well to be able to view the parliament, supreme court (old and new), various museums, the wonderful Raffles Hotel, the financial district, and the hotel district. We appreciated very much the photo stop at the Raffles and the details like the canoe on the top of the hotel. The drive gave us time to catch our breath and be ready to walk the waterfront area. Michelle was ready with umbrellas and paced our walk to the famous Merlion statute. The walk in Chinatown was just right to let us experience the area and learn about the nature of the Chinese New Year celebration, the kinds of food available like dorian fruit and dried sausages and whole dried ducks. The stop for tea and treats was a wonderful experience and timed just right to give us a moments rest. And the visit to the Buddhist temple and the garden stroll before the drop off at the ship's port terminal was lovely and very interesting. Michelle's excellent English, warm and charming personality, and considerate planning made her company easy and made this tour a delight and more than we could have hoped for particularly given the pressure of picking us up directly from 35 hours of flight travel. We finished feeling that we had some familiarity with Singapore, had learned a lot, and had a very good time. There is nothing about this tour experience I would change and Michelle has my highest recommendation for anyone seeking to experience Singapore.

Singapore is an amazing country and since we only had one and half days there, this tour really helped us see everything. Alex was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Peter was knowledgeable about the history and culture of Singapore. Very considerate and professional guide in every way. He showed us the in’s and out’s of the transportation system in Singapore-a big savings over a taxi. Lots of extras after the tour on things to see and do in Singapore.

An excellent tour for my first day in Singapore. Leo was a great guide. Very knowledgeable about Singapore history, present day and future planning. Given the changes that have taken place in Singapore it was good to have a guide who was able to enlighten me on the changes to date and goals for the future. Leo also presented a lot of this information in the context of his and his family’s journey which made the history more resonant. A great day!

Enjoyed seeing the Merlion, having Chinese lunch, visiting Chinatown, tasting Mangosteen, visiting the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, and learning about Singapore history, ethnic groups and culture. One of our party had a disability and Ang showed true concern for accessibility and did a great job overall. A very enjoyable and educational experience.

Much effort into the visit - great tasting experience at hawkers food market sampled many traditional dishes very educational. Great way to see concentrated highlights of Singapore …happy to vary to our need - interesting insights to local life. Recommend.

Eliza was a very knowledgeable guide about the new and the old Singapore. She knew the history and guided us skillfully among her nooks and crannies of the City- State to show us views and perspectives of City planning and how they blended their historic buildings with their modern needs. She was resourceful and immensely cheerful as we toured on a rainy day but stayed dry and had a fun local lunch. What a great guide!
