This running tour is a great way to experience and learn about the city and its surroundings. Raoul was amazing: he adjusted the run to my pace and the trajectory to my tour interest. He is clearly passionated; he kept talking about the history and significance of the places we saw. I do not know how he had so much energy! We saw and run a lot during the two hours- but he will customize the tour to your preferences. I highly recommend him!

Last Sunday I went on a running tour with Raoul through my home town Maastricht. Raoul first asks about everyone's running experience, so he can adjust the pace of the tour, so everyone can easily run along. He knows a lot about the history of Maastricht and most information I didn't even hear of before. So even if you run in your home town, the tour can be informative. You can ask questions yourself and he pretty much knows all the answers. We had a great time, running through Maastricht and we really enjoyed this kind of tour.

We decided to go for an early run with our work team, it was great! Everyone had a lovely time, we saw the sunrise & Raoul shared his knowledge about the city with us. Would def do it again!

The run was GREAT!!! I can't imagine a better way to explore the beautiful city of Maastricht. I really want to recommend this tour to everyone -- not only active runners. Our tour guide Raoul adapt the pace for everyone. And since we make many many stops on the way, you are already standing in front of the next place of interest before feeling anything from running. Raoul is the best tour guide ever. He is knowledgeable, accommodating, and humorous. He let us know the history of the city and the stories behind the beautiful buildings and sculptures within 2 hours.

Had a great time on this intro into the city. Raoul was easy to contact and tailored the pace and amount of tourism vs straight running to what I was looking for. He knew a lot about the town’s history as well as had some great recommendations for my time in Maastricht. Had a lovely conversation between stopping points too. Tour ended with a beautiful sunset run across the bridge! Highly recommend !

Raoul was an amazing guide! He was super friendly and very informative telling us about the history, architecture and makeup of the city. He is clearly very proud of his Maastricht heritage. Raoul showed us places in the city we would never have seen wandering around on our own. Running was a really fun way to cover more ground than walking. The weather forecast was predicting rain, but I signed up for a morning run the day before just in case. I was happy that I did. Within hours my run was confirmed and the next morning the clouds temporarily cleared just in time for us to start running. Raoul took me on a 6km run throughout the city and pointed out things that I would never would have known or seen on my own. In fact, more than once locals were listening in to hear his stories. He is a great storyteller and mixed history with present events with ease. Maastricht is a beautiful city full of history, sadness and celebration. I recommend going for run early with Maastricht Running Tours (before the tourists and shoppers come out) and then taking time to relax on one of the many cute terraces with lunch and a drink - and see the city on a new way. It was a great way to spend a Sunday.

The tour is one of the activities I would definitely recommend to do in Maastricht, it’s easy to follow and suitable for every runner, regardless of experience. The tour offers you a different perspective of the city while also doing your workout.

Such a fun thing to do. I’ve lived in Maastricht for about a year now but didn’t know much of the history. Raoul was so knowledgeable and excited to show us places and tell us about the history. He not only told us about historical facts he also showed us some of his favorite places to eat and local shops he likes. I run on occasion but wouldn’t consider myself a runner. Raoul kept an easy pace that I could keep up with. Plus all the stops to talk about things made it very enjoyable. I highly recommend to do the running tour, even if you’ve lived in Maastricht for a long time.
