This was a lovely experience, just 3 of us and the pilot on the flight to the dog sledding. The musher was really friendly and we had all our questions answered. She was able to tell us about her experience and about the dogs individual personalities. We were allowed to cuddle the dogs (that wanted affection) whilst they preppared for the ride. The weather was terrible but the views were still spectacular and due to the cold we were able to pick up a little more speed. We were given time to take some lovely photos. We have gone dog sledding in Finland but this tour was far superior and personalised. Fantastic, well organised tour. Would certainly recommend, especially with children.

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Yes - it's expensive but it's likely the best/most memorable thing you'll do as part of your Alaska trip!

Not exactly what I was expecting, but seemed rushed and very SHORT experience. The majority of the time was spent talking with the guide (musher). The sledding was more of a sit and look (ride) with three people sitting the musher in the back. The views were amazing and the ride over was fun (also very short..maybe 8 min). For the cost, this is NOT worth the time and experience....there may be others that give you more of a "mushers" experience that last longer than maybe 15 min. The entire experience (ride over, ride on sled...not mushing...and ride back) was short and disappointing. It's all based on what you want out of the experience, we were looking for more than a brief ride on a sled and short helicopter ride, but if that's all you want, maybe it's for you.

Wonderful experience for our whole family. The helicopter ride was very scenic and smooth. The kids enjoyed dog sledding and playing with the puppies ( although some puppies were quite rambunctious :).) there wasn’t any real walking/ touring of the glacier, we mainly spent time with the dogs, but we thoroughly enjoyed it!

At 3:00pm we were picked up by Seward Helicopter tours for our dog sled adventure. It was a short ride to their site. We took a small helicopter for about 15 minutes to a dog camp on a glacier. Our guide/musher (Ryan?) was terrific. These mushers live in the camp with the dogs. The dogs are training for Iditarod. We got to ride a sled pulled by a team of dogs. It was more fun then I anticipated. Then we took the helicopter back. Short activity but very fun.

We went on a bright sunny day in June 2023. The helicopter rides there and back were breathtaking. But for dog lovers, the sledding experience was absolutely magical and worth every penny. They take good care of their dogs, and it's clear the dogs love their work and their mushers. (Special shout out to our musher, Cameron.) The dogs are charming, friendly, and eager to run, and the puppies are pure delightful chaos. This is not a money-making tourist enterprise, this is a kennel devoted to the dogs and the sport, and sharing it with the world. We will never forget this adventure and it's among our all-time top travel experiences.

Great way to see the glaciers and mountains and Seward port. The dogs and sledding and measures were awesome to meet and take pictures in the snow in the summer!! Both pilots that are family flight with seemed very knowledgeable and a personable. It’s definitely a must do in Alaska.

This excursion is expensive but absolutely worth it! We began and ended with a spectacular and exhilarating helicopter ride provided by pilot Renzo, who pointed out many interesting things during our flight. On Godwin Glacier, we were met by our musher (and veterinary technician), Amanda, of Turning Heads Kennels, who was wonderful! We were soon on our awesome sled ride, stopping several times for pictures. Make sure to get some video of the dogs pulling you, too! The dogs seem to be working extremely hard, but whenever they stop, it’s obvious that they really want to run again! Afterwards we were introduced to our entire dog team and got to tell each of them what a good job they’d done. Had extra time with our sweet lead dogs. These dogs get a lot of love and affection! To finish our visit at the glacier, we had time with an adorable litter of puppies and their mom and got to chat with several of the kennel staff. What an absolutely fantastic thing to experience!!

Turning head kernels (the actual place you visit) was phenomenal. I'm an animal lover so was a little worried this was just a money making exercise. That could not be further from the truth. This kennel is ALL about the dogs and they worship Travis their musher. He told us all about what he brings for the dogs to eat on the Iditarod, what supplements, what snacks even how many calories the dogs consume. When I asked how many calories he ate he just looked at me blankly because every thought he had was about the dogs welfare. The dog run through the forest was exhilarating, there weren't puppies the time we visited but the adults were lovely. Thoughtful recommend.

This trip was first rate all the way. Nice helicopter ride. The dogsled ride was very nice, and we had plenty of time to visit with the dogs AND THE PUPPIES. Our guide was great as well. Highly recommended.

What a great morning!! Started with an on-time pickup at the Cruise Terminal for the ride to the airport. After the safety briefing and the over-boot fitting, Lorenzo, our heli-pilot, gave us a guided tour on our way up to the Godwin Glacier. Joey was our musher and he introduced us to all of the dogs -- very sweet, friendly dogs!! Joey was very knowledgeable and fun to hang out with. It was great to see the dog selection process -- as to which dogs were the best for the weight they needed to pull and how they are harnessed. The sled rides were amazing!! Joey showed us around the camp and the cute puppies. Joey radioed for Lorenzo to come pick us up and Lorenzo gave us another sightseeing ride back to the airport. A very fun and exciting morning!! We would do it again in a minute!!
