Tour of Chinatown hidden eats. Places you would not find on your own. The bites were fresh and tasty. Had a great time and was an easy walking tour.

We really enjoyed the out-of-the-way food providers, and our host/guide, TJ, made it all interesting, approachable (even the more exotic parts of the menu!) and fun. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour to others.

Fantastic tour, great food and great to see a part of Honolulu history and culture not covered by the travel guides. Good for families, couples and friends traveling together. You will not be disappointed.

I have lived on Oahu for three years and am getting ready to move, which prompted my HI bucket list. Top of that list was a food tour! I was excited when I found the "Off The Beaten Path" tour online and was able to book easily given they offer it multiple times per week! The morning of the tour, Victor picked me up right on time. There were already three other groups on the van (two couples and a granddaughter with her grandparents). The whole experience was super fun and everyone got along great. Victor was easy to talk to, offered everyone multiple local recommendations and ensured everyone engaged with one another. The tour itself was out of this world. I was unsure of how much actual food we would try and it turned out that it was A TON. I needed up coming home with tons of leftovers and was stuffed by the end of the 16 samplings. Come hungry for sure and don't miss out on this great company/tour!

We loved the food tour. Tried some adventurous foods and definitely come hungry (skip breakfast before). The guide was knowledgeable about numerous other island topics, to boost. Definitely recommend.

Was able to do from a cruise ship . Victor was great do nice and excellent communication prior to the trip . TJ was also great and very nice and informative. As others have said .. the tastings are more than generous so go hungry! The variety and quality was spot on . This experience would be tough to replicate on your own . Go, go, go !!!

TJ was a wonderful guide who took us through Chinatown & had us try several different Chinese, Philippine & Hawaiian foods. We had a variety of meat, fish, fruits and desserts. It was an amazing experience, but definitely too much food. Luckily we were forewarned from our friends who had taken the tour previously.

Best tuna we’ve ever had. Nice variety of foods. TJ and Victor were both full of information about foods and Chinatown. We had a great time!

This was such a diverse eating experience! We ate manapua, balut, adobo pork, duck, pork belly, poke, fresh ahi, octopus, and so much fruit (mangosteen, mangos, longans, durian, soursop, and passionfruit). If you’re an adventurous eater this is definitely for you. Side note - was sick the day before and the tour guide (victor) was incredible. He offered me alternatives that were easier for me to handle (e.g., congee), got me ginger ale, and to go bags for every single stop so I wouldn’t miss out on the experience. If you’re looking for something unique and delicious definitely go on this tour!

Victor was awesome. He knew everyone’s name after the first introduction and their home location. Outstanding personality The tour itself focused on exposing us to new food and new cultures. We felt like we were on the Star Trek Enterprise. Can’t say I liked all the food but I can say I learned a lot and Victor definitely made memories for us. That’s what tours should be about. Not trying to remember trivia , but making memories. Very well done!! Russell and Charlene

Being offered foods that we had never had before and learning that Hawaiian food is made up from many Asian cultures. Our guide Victor was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Here on vacation for my birthday and my husband and I just got back to our hotel from this tour and had to immediately leave a review! Victor was FANTASTIC! I was shocked with the amount of food we not only sampled but the SIZES of the samples. They are not kidding when they say, "come with an empty stomach and skip breakfast"! This was, by far, one of the best tours I've ever been on. We sampled authentic food that we otherwise wouldn't have even known about if it hadn't of been for this tour. We tried so many different fruits, Filipino food, Korean, Japanese, seafood, pork belly, duck, Vietnamese and a few desserts. There's something for everyone on this tour! With the 15-16 samples we tried, I enjoyed every single one of them. I figured I'd been sneaking some to my husband but that was not the case. My favorite was the Tuna- I have never had tuna quite like it. We're planning on going back while we are here- to eat some of the things we tried on this tour and a few that we saw along the way. We had a ton of leftovers that we were able to bring back as well. You'll be provided with to go bags and covers WHEN needed (definitely not IF). Victor was also very accommodating and knowledgeable, not just about the food but Hawaii in general. He gave us a ton of recommendations for the rest of our stay and even said we could text or call for any other information/recommendations we might need. He was so pleasant and very welcoming- not just to those of us on the tour but the locals as well. You can tell he's loved by everyone. I would take this tour again the next time I visit Hawaii. If I was staying here for longer than 4 days, I would have done it again at the end! You get your money's worth AND more. Thanks again, Victor! We will recommend this tour to everyone! Mahalo!

Our host, Victor, did a super tour. He knew all about the different foods and explained them in lay men's terms so we all had a better appreciation about the food, sauces and ways they were prepared. Additionally, he brought along wipes knowing some of the food was finger food and "juicy, juicy." Victor obviously has a great rapport with all the vendors and they were smiling and so helpful to him and all of us. He also made us feel like family because he remembered/called us by our names, Curtis and Laura. He also has a great sense of humor and is very personable.

I definitely recommend this amazing food tour while in Oahu! TJ was our guide and he did an awesome job of sharing his knowledge and gave us many opportunities to enjoy the delicious food in China Town. We had 13 stops and the food was incredible. So much flavor in each tasting we did which included Manapua, poke, duck, pork, multiple fruit options, various fish and desserts. Must do in Oahu!!

What a great experience. Victor was a great guide - knowledgeable, attentive to detail in relation to the food stops, ethnic cultures and customer needs. He knew all the vendors and kept an eye out for their customers as well. Quality of foods in the tastings was excellent. Each stop was prepared for our group, samples & supplies handled efficiently and in a sanitary manner. Victor had a never ending supply of hand wipes for our comfort. Foods were fresh and delicious. Thank you for a memorable experience.

A great way to see Chinatown food offerings. Victor is a gracious, attentive guide and remarkable ambassador for Hawai’i, the history and its many cultures. And, what a handsome Dude. He remembered everyone’s name from the start. He knew the vendors we visited and many others we passed. The stops were timely and organized. Victor made sure we all got the supplies we needed to eat each food, carrying an abundant supply of wet wipes for our hands. At each stop, there was a generous serving of each food or dish to try. Victor and the vendors had lids and plastic bags to use for leftovers. With 16 stops, there was plenty of food! The sliced tuna was buttery and almost melted in your mouth. The roast duck and pork so flavorful, the steamed buns were tender & dry, stuffed with moist & tender pork or wild boar. My favorite stop was the fruit stand where we had both more familiar and less familiar fruits: from mango & papaya to soursop, mangosteen & longans. We finished with poke and the bright green Vietnamese Pandan Cake. A great experience with a lovely guide to make it even better!
