This is the 3rd time we have used Select Sri Lanka. They are so accommodating and so helpful when sorting out everything. From airport transfers, booking hotels that suit your budget and organising trips to Temples, safaris and much more. I highly recommend them and look forward to using them again. They take the stress out of it all.

Tours well planned, reliable and very good guides, probably not the cheapest but could not fault this company, provided cheap accommodation and planned many expeditions. Faultless

Extremely prompt and courteous service provided by Gayan’s team. The cost of the service was reasonable, however the transport provided was of the best quality. The driver knew the roads well and was conscious of our safety. Overall, highly recommend!!

My sister and I planned to visit Sri Lanka in April and saw that the reviews for Select Sri Lanka looked great. We got in touch with the company and they replied immediately. All communication was easy and done through WhatsApp. We told Gayan what we wanted to do and he was more than accommodating. He organised airport transfers, hotels, travel and activities for each day and it was perfect for those looking for an exciting adventure but without the hassle of organising it. Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip but Gayan was very good and was more than willing to give us a refund. I couldn’t recommend this service enough and hopefully we’ll get the chance to go in the future.

We gave Gayan our length of proposed stay and he recommended tours, planned everything and provided us with very reasonable prices for our group (9 People) as well as a schedule of events. However due to recent events we had to cancel, the tour company offered us a full refund, but we suggested that they hold the money for future tours hopefully in the near future. They have kept us fully informed and will keep in touch on the situation in Sri lanka. Would reccommend this tour company as they are very proffesional, efficient and courteous.

We prearranged a ten day trip with Gayan and his crew around Sri Lanka. Unfortunately we have had to cancel our booking. I can highly recommend Gayan in organising transport and itinerary. With his fantastic knowledge Gayan came with the right suggestion and ideas to accommodate our needs with a group of nine - and three generations. Gayan was extremely patient with me despite multiple email with lots questions. His answers were clear, polite and prompt - nothing was a problem. Thank you, Gayan for your help. We hope to visit Sri Lanka another time.

I prearranged three trips prior to travelling to Sri Lanka with Gayan via WhatsApp and he was very patient with me despite my many questions! On arrival we had to rearrange the trips and this was done without any problem. Our driver to Galle and Udawalawe was Kasun and as people have already said he is very reliable, helpful and knowledgeable. Our last trip to the Argo Village was cancelled due the new year and Gavan managed to rearrange it for after the Easter weekend. Unfortunately due to the situation (which Gavan notified me about before I saw on my news app) we had to cancel - a real shame, but something to come back to Sri Lanka for. Kasun drove to our hotel to bring our money back. Would definitely use again if we come back to Sri Lanka and will recommend to friends who come here.

I was with Select Sri Lanka in two places, the first trip was to city of Galle and the second one was safari in Udawalawe National Park. On the way to Galle, we saw beautiful Buddhist temple, the we took a boat trip in the jungle looking for crocodiles, visited a turtle farm, and finally the city of Galle. A trip worth recommending, especially since it was a privat trip only for us. The Udawalawe National Park is something you must see, elephants in the wild, a beautiful view that you must see and experience. Both trips organized very well, punctual drivers, nice and very friendly. Everything is settled on one phone. A representative of the office came to our hotel to disccus the details of our trips, everything went quickly and efficiently. I honestly recommend trips with Select Sri Lanka.

From beginning to end, Select Sri has been incredible and delivered more than expected! Planning the tours was a breeze with Gayan, the communication was clear and through watsapp, which was convenient for us. Pick up from the hotel, early and on time! Kasun our guide was superb and so helpful, he made sure that we had the best out of our experiences, he joined us for the Jeep Safari inside Udawalawa which added so much value as he also spotted animals for us! We saw families of elephants, water buffaloes and they went out of their way to find us a crocodile that was enormous! Our children loved it! They made the trips so easy and enjoyable for us even though we had a 3 and a 5 year old with us. The boat for the whale watching trip was comfortable, not crowded at all! We were served coconut water straight from the fruit, watermelons and delicious pineapples. We were also offered coffee and were served a lovely breakfast. We spotted dolphins and whales swimming around the boat, it was magnificent, a truly enjoyable experience. We would not think twice about hiring them again.

I chose Select Sri Lanka company based on great reviews on TripAdvisor and didn’t regret it. Gayan has organized everything for us including the airport pick up and drop off. Our driver Kasun was very good, always punctual. We had very comfortable and clean vehicle and diving was very careful which was very important for us. We took a tour to Udawalawe safari, it was amazing. We saw many elephants within few meters from us, a lot of other animals and birds. We also had tailor made day tour to turtle hatchery, tea plantations and on the way also stopped at Ayurvedic garden and for a river safari. We were not disappointed with any of the activities we chose. Kids had the best time of their life. We will come back to Sri Lanka and do not hesitate to contact Select Sri Lanka for all our transportation and guide needs.

Kasun was our driver guide for this trip and he was very good and a safe driver. First we stopped at the turtle sanctuary a very interesting place with a good guide who took his time taking us round. The walk round the fort and through the narrow lanes was very enjoyable with Kasun giving us a history lesson. Can highly recommended this company.

We had the most wonderful day tour with Kasun as our driver.Pick up early & we drove for about hour and half before stopping at a pleasent cafe .Here we were able to eat our boxed hotel breakfast and buy tea before traveling on to enjoy the amazing privilege of riding bear back on an elephant called Monica (additional cost 2500SR) Kasun then took us on to the orphanage where as already reported in other reviews ensured we had priority to feed and view the elephants bathing The visit was untimed and we felt no pressure . Our next two stops were an Auyvardic Spice garden where we learnt to benitits of plant products and had an inclusive foot massage.and an unpresurised. Sales pitch Our final official stop of the day was at a tea factory during which the guide showed us the processes in production of tea We were then offered a beautiful cup of tea and the opportunity to purchase local teas which were reasonable priced . It was a 3 hour journey home and Kasun happily stopped at a supermarket for drinks and offered to find us a place to eat but we were happy to travel back He also stopped to show us a wonderful view and Macaque monkeys in the trees Kasun not only was a good guide he was a very safe driver anyone having been to Sri Lanka and experienced the bus and tuk tuk driving will appreciate how important this is. I recommend this company highly and would use again .

My wife and I have stayed in Sri Lanka for 21 days. During that time we used Select Sri Lanka tours for four different tours. We had the same guide for all tours which was great, Kasun really took care of us and made sure we saw all, and more, of what this beautiful island had to offer. Kasun, was always there to meet us when he said he would be and was someone we could definitely rely on. He really helped make our trips ‘special’. Organising of the various tours with Gayan was very easy and communications with him prior to our arrival great. Even when we changed hotels at the last minute, this was not a problem to them. We would absolutely recommend Select Sri Lanka without hesitation and will definitely use them on our next trip here.

My husband and I made the most of Select and spent 5 whole days with them touring round the island! We did a whale/dolphin watching day, saw Galle Fort, climbed Sigiriya Rock, visited the Dambulla cave temples, visited Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, visited the Tooth Temple in Kandy, toured a tea factory, visited a turtle sanctuary, went to an elephant transit home, then did Udawalawa and Yala safaris with an overnight stay in a beautiful hotel in between. The days were long, but you need to pack them in with so much to see as travelling around the island takes a while so you must make the most of it! All trips were excellent and we had a fantastic time. Gayan organised everything with us whilst we were still in the UK, and Kasun was our driver for all of our trips. The prices are very competitive and it’s very safe with them. Kasun’s English is really good, and he is the kindest, friendliest man that we could have asked for - he went the extra mile with every trip to get us the best spot, shout out things to look at and spot the wild animals on safaris! Thank you so so much - it was definitely a holiday to remember! Tip - take anti bac gel everywhere. The guys try to find you decent toilets, but the hand washing facilities aren’t great so be prepared :)

Took 2 trips in Jan with Select during our 11 day stay at Avani in Bentota. Family group of 4 - Mum, Dad, + 2 Teens - 17 & 13. 1st trip involved river safari, temple visit, turtle hatchery and drive down to Galle. Had a great day seeing lots of wildlife on safari, and really enjoying all the local knowledge shared with us by our driver. Something for all of us to enjoy during the day. A long drive down the coast but with lots of stops and fantastic ocean views it was a great day out. Galle also very interesting ... although very hot so we didn't stay as long as we might have done if our teens had not been flaking out slightly!! Driver very relaxed about running the itinerary to suit us and what we were interested in - for example moving on quickly from the scheduled stops at carving factor and gem mine as we were not too interested in buying anything, but also making an impromptu stop at the very moving Tsunami memorial on route after we expressed interest in understanding more about the tragic events of Boxing Day 2004. All in all a great day out and good value. 2nd trip was to Udawalawe park. Involved a very early (I think 5am?) start in Bentota and a pretty lengthy drive to the park. Interesting but very windy drive through the hills seeing the local villages wake up and school children all setting off to catch buses in their smart white uniforms. That part definitely not for anyone with a weak bladder as it was about 2.5 hours before we reached a loo stop by which time 2 of the party were close to bursting!! Udawalawe definitely worth the long drive however as we were rewarded with a great visit to see elephants feeding at the Transit home and then sightings of many elephants (some VERY VERY CLOSE - amazing!), water buffalo and many many beautiful birds. Not a trip for anyone with a bad back/ the very elderly/ very young as you do have to clamber up into the jeeps in the park and they do throw you around a lot as the tracks are quite rough in places. Quite a pricey day but we loved it - so felt it had been worth the money. Considered combining with trip to Yala but glad we didn't as we felt we had seen plenty and were pretty tired after making the long drive back to Bentota again. However could be worth staying overnight / doing both if you didn't have to drive such a long distance each way. All in all - definitely recommend.

We very much enjoyed our 12-day tour visiting the highlights of Sri Lanka. Our driver/guide Priyanta was friendly, helpful with advice, & a very safe driver. We especially enjoyed our visit to the turtle sanctuary, the fish massage, but actually, just about everything was great! We even got to see a leopard at Yala National Park. On our last night, we were invited to Gayan's birthday party at his home in Kalutara, which was so very special! We highly recommend Select Sri Lanka. You will not be disappointed!

We found Select Sri Lanka through TripAdvisor and were very pleased with our tour. We booked very last minute and Select were able to organise our last minute tour to Kandy and Sigiriya. We enjoyed everything we did ... the Temple Tours, dance show, tea plantation/factory, Lion Rock, village tour. We had good accommodation & food everywhere. The eco lodge was interesting as was in a rural village setting. We cannot praise our driver/guide enough. Priyantha was a fantastic safe driver and very flexible to our requests. His English was good as was his knowledge of the area. A very happy experience for us in wonderful Sri Lanka 😊

Myself and my partner have just returned from a 2 week tour of Sri Lanka. Having used select Sri Lanka to organise our trip we couldn’t recommend them more. Our trip was organised by Gayan communicating easily over WhatsApp planning the trip to suit our needs and what we wanted to get out of it. Our driver Kasun was the nicest man we could have wished for. He took care of everything for us, was a fantastic photographer capturing our favourite moments on the trip and always looked out for our best interests. We visited pinawala elephant sanctuary and absolutely loved it. It was amazing to see the elephants in the river and we got to feed one of the tame elephants too. We stayed at Sigiriya hotel which was fantastic and enjoyed a fabulous gala dinner for New Year’s Eve. We climbed Sigiriya rock and the views from the top were fabulous. It was scarier coming down than going up, and I would suggest getting there early as there were long ques to go up later in the morning. We then did our first safari at Eco park, near Sigiriya. This was great! We got to stand up and enjoy the surroundings the whole time, and saw dozens of elephants enjoying their natural habitat. We then moved on to Kandy. We watched the cultural dancing in the evening which was pretty fun and stayed at Thailanka which was lovely. We were up early to get the train from Nuwara Eliya to Ella. Some of the views were incredible. A great experience and highly recommended. When arriving at Ella we were taken to Ella Edge for one nights stay. The view from the hotel were amazing. You don’t get a choice of food here and are brought out different dishes to try. We did enjoy the food but it might not be to everyone’s taste. The town was great and had a lot of backpackers around. The next morning we were up early again to go to the stunning 9 arch bridge to catch a glimpse of the train coming over. A great photo opportunity. Following this we walked to the top of little Adams peak and again the views and scenery were beautiful. That afternoon we travelled to Yala where we relaxed at Kithala Resort. A very nice hotel and ideal for an afternoon in the sun. The next morning we were again up early to catch the sunrise at Yala National Park on our second safari. This safari was different to our first due to it being a national park. Our driver was constantly on his phone, for our benefit, communicating with other drivers to find out where sightings of animals had been. We were lucky enough to see elephants, water buffalo and a leopard. When the driver got a call about the leopard sighting he did drive very erratically and we requested him to slow down, which he did. But again he was just doing it for our benefit to try and give us the best chance of seeing these wild animals. Following our safari we travelled to our first beach hotel since our first day, in Mirissa. We stayed at the Paradise Beach Club where the high standard of hotel was met once again. A few bars lined the long beach where there was a great atmosphere around. We wished we had stayed here an extra night at least. Another early start the next day in Mirissa because we had a dolphin and whale watching trip booked. We were lucky enough to see two blue whales and a group of dolphins. However this was a very long morning and were out on the boat for 6-7 hours. If we had been unlucky and not seen any wildlife we would have been a bit frustrated at the length of the trip. After this we visited Galle where Kasun gave us a tour of the town. We called in at a turtle hatchery on our journey from Galle to Kalutara. Here we learnt a lot about the work that goes on in keeping these turtles alive. Very interesting visit. Our favourite visits included pinnawalla elephant sanctuary, eco lodge safari park, Sigiriya rock and Ella

Gayan worked with us to come up with trips that suited our needs. As a result we got see all that we wanted to see. Priyanta looked after us so well and made our trips and experience just perfect. Even making last minute changes when vertigo got in the way of a plan!

We took a couple of separate day trips during the recent Christmas holiday in Kalutara , Sri Lanka. i contacted Select Sri Lanka Tours and Gayan organised for us to go to Udawalawe National Park to see the elephants and other animals in their natural habitat. it was a long journey but worth the money and experience . Nothing was too much trouble for Priyantha our driver / guide and we stopped off at the gems capital Ratnapura on the way back for a bit of shopping. A few days earlier we had Priyantha take us down to Galle , but on the way we did a river trip , visited the large Buddhist Temple and also a Tsunami memorial which was very moving. We would definitely use Select again . Good Luck !
