We are from London and have a little knowledge of the North London Jewish community and wanted to have some of our questions answered by Frieda on this tour. Firstly Frieda is one of the most approachable people, she’s knowledgeable but non judgemental. She has a fascinating back story which I followed on her YouTube videos. She answered so many of our questions about the Hasidic community and took us to eat some awesome food and gave us an insight into life into the Williamsburg Jewish community. I’d recommend the tour to anyone wanting to learn more.

I am a 77 year old woman, who, with my 13 year old grandson and daughter, strolled the streets of Williamsburg with Frieda last Sunday. Meeting Frieda was on my bucket list, and the day was more than I could have asked for. Frieda, is a brilliant, caring, sensitive woman, whom we all could learn lessons from. So many people, leaving their "home/community" are bitter and judgmental. Frieda, reflects where she came from with thoughtfulness, love, and understanding. From, hearing the history of the satmar community, to hearing her speak with the locals in the community, to tasting the traditional delicious food, I walked away with my heart filled with hope and a deeper love for the Hasidic community. I encourage all to live a life full of rich experiences - join Frieda on her unique tour.

My brother and I took Frieda’s tour in January and absolutely loved it. This was hands-down the best tour I’ve ever taken. It was such an insightful and non-judgemental insight into a very interesting community. Frieda was so kind and knowledgeable and patiently answered all 100000000 of our questions! Also lunch was delicious. I would absolutely do this tour again next time I’m in New York since I’m sure I would learn something new.

Frieda's tour of Hasidic Williamsburg was the absolute highlight of my stay in New York! Her deep knowledge about the Hasidic community's history and way of life is enriched by her personal experience of growing up in that community. There was so much about this tour I could not have learned from a book: from Frieda's insights into Hasidic architecture, street etiquette and toys, to her generously treating us to traditional sweets, pastries and a communal meal. The most valuable experience of it all for me was to experience her curious and open mind, her tolerance and appreciation of everybody's culture, her respect and open heart for the Hassidic community, despite the fact that her path had taken her away from it. We all have much to learn from her ability to appreciate complexity in this divided world. I recommend this tour with all my heart; this is one of the most valuable experiences you can get in New York!

Outstanding! I've been on many walking tours, but never has a guide held my attention from the moment I arrived until the moment I departed. I learned so much about this community's history, customs and more. Stops at a candy store and toy store were accompanied by discussions of the importance the community places on children. The final stop at Gottlieb's Deli where we sat around a table to taste traditional foods and discuss our impressions of the tour was the cherry on top of the hot fudge sundae. Take this tour, you will not be disappointed.

This walking tour was at the top of my list for our first visit to New York, even higher than the Statue of Liberty, Times Square and the 9/11 monument. And I was not disappointed. Frieda is a wonderful woman who speaks with great expertise and compassion about the Hasidic community in Williamsburg. She is ready to answer any question you may have in a honest, but also respectful way. During our walking tour (partly in strong rain, but it didn't matter, Frieda adjusted the trip slightly so we could be indoors when it was raining most), it was very clear that the local community also respect her. She was stopped several times and thanked for her YouTube channel. We were introduced to delicious Hasidic baked goods and dishes, and we visited several shops and heard about everything from phone and computer restrictions to education and married life. My husband, who came along to please me, was impressed and became very interested in the topic which we debated for several days afterwards looking up Frieda's Youtube channel to find answers to all the questions that kept popping up during our discussions. By far the best part of our visit to NYC. Thank you, Frieda!

Fantastic tour. Freida is very down to earth and a great tour guide. Will answer any questions you have. The tour went quick because it was so interesting and very well done. We also go to try loads of different foods as well.

This is the best tour in all of New York and I have been on hundreds. Freda is smart engaging and actually I have gone three times because every tour is so varied and I come home with so many more facts and so much to think about. This was my 2nd time taking Frieda's tour of Hasidic Williamsburg, I found it so fascinating the 1st time that I brought my daughter when we were in town. Frieda is extremely knowledgeable and as a former member of the community has insights that are unique. Her approach to the community is respectful and she clearly still has solid relationships within the area. I highly recommend this tour.

Our tour with Frieda was really exceptional -she is knowledgeable with the unique perspective of someone who previously belonged to the Hasidic community....It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about this community ......I especially liked our stops at the candy shop and bakery -got to sample some traditional foods / sweets ..The time flew by-I feel like I now have so many more questions to ask -will have to take another tour at some point !

This was such a wonderful tour! Frieda is an amazing tour guide and she is incredibly knowledgeable, as she was once a part of the community. Because of this, she has such a unique insight and extensive knowledge. You will learn a huge amount about the culture and customs. Prepare to transport yourself to a different world. It’s intriguing! Towards the beginning of the tour we stopped and got some delicious pastries from a kosher bakery. I highly recommend trying the chocolate rugelach! We ended the tour at a kosher deli and had some delicious food. I recommend doing the tour on a Friday morning. It’s the Eve of Shabbos and it’s very lively in the neighborhood while everyone is preparing! Frieda also has a YouTube channel where she posts more content about the Hasidic communities in Brooklyn. Overall such a wonderful experience and I highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful, entertaining, unique and highly informative tour. Although we had read recent newspaper articles regarding Hasidic communities in New York, we came away from the tour with a much better understanding of Hasidic culture, life and history than we otherwise would have had. Having grown up in a Hasidic community, which she chose to leave, Frieda's understanding of Hasidic life is profound. Moreover, she is very intelligent, articulate and courageous, as well as an excellent and gracious communicator. We had an outstanding experience.

Wonderful tour of the neighbourhood explaining the customs and lifestyle of the Hasidic community. Allowed us to feel comfortable and like we were learning, not just there to inappropriately gawk at this often misunderstood community. I feel that given that Frida was from the Community herself we could trust her guidance . She was very generous in being open to questions about her community and her story .
