The kayak down the river to a spot to snorkel was second to none. We saw a variety of fish and swam with sea turtles. Our guide was born and raise on Kauai and was so knowledgeable and informative. It was an amazing tour!

Worth every penny. If you dont have a lot of time on Kauai, this tour is awesome and has a bit of everything. We have only kayaked once ever before, so we are really inexperienced. You will get wet so go in swim clothing, water shoes and lots of sunblock. We started off kayaking on the river where you will get amazing views of the river bank, and eventually out into the shallow sea near the Hanalei bay. The tour guides were funny, energetic and knowledgeable (Ko'Le and Gabe), and shared many of the local history and nearby mountains. We snorkeled briefly after landing near a beach near the 1 hotel, and saw many colorful fish, had lunch they prepared and kayaked back. The whole tour took about 4 hours but you felt like you have been there for a while. An awesome way to spend an afternoon in Hanalei. There's lotta food and stores in the town of Hanalei, and coffee spot right next door. It was our first time on the island, and this happened on the 2nd day of our trip, couldnt have done it any better. What a gorgeous and incredibly safe tropical jungle

The kayaking was fun and the scenery was spectacular. The best part of the adventure was our guide....by far. Kolo was our guide and he was so much fun and informative. I was not expecting him to be so knowledgeable about the surrounding mountains and the Hawaiian history lesson that accompanied the kayaking. He is an amazing ambassador of his Hawaiian culture. I can't say enough wonderful things about this young man. At lunchtime he pulled out his ukulele and sang beautifully some Hawaiian songs. I am definitely coming back just so I can hang out with Kolo and learn more about the Hawaiian culture and the history of Kauai.

Gabe was our guide for the day. He was great! It was so thoughtful of him to take pictures and videos and share them with us. He had lunch for us, even brought his own coconut for everyone to have coconut water! Snorkeling was great and saw so many cool fish! He was a wealth of knowledge, and so funny! My kids really had a blast and have talked about what a great guide he was!

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Easy process from beginning to end. Beautiful scenery. Snorkeling had interesting marine life - we even swam alongside a turtle.

A few things - 1) Great information about the island and its history/facts. 2) The snorkeling was incredible. 3) Our two hosts were fantastic. Their goal was to ensure their guests had a great time. The accomplished that goal and then some!!

Great family excursion! Our group consisted of my husband and I with our 3 boys- ages 16, 13, and 10. Our tour guides Kilo and Gabe were awesome. The kayak requirements are mostly very mild - lazy river, stops for learning about Hawaiian history, and a short tenure in Hanalei Bay where the waves were larger but water was very shallow. The snorkel experience was low stress, great for beginners. We saw a sea turtle, an eel and several tropical fish. Picnic lunch was lovely and the guides were attentive and added bonus from them bringing some local foods for sampling. We would definitely recommend for a family experience.

Kolo was a great guide with his knowledge & history of Kauai!! We had an amazing lunch on the beach while Kolo played the Ukelele & sang. Saw a Sea Turtle while we were snorkeling in Hanalei Bay. Also, Kolo showed us a baby octopus.

This tour is absolutely amazing! What we appreciated most was the relaxed, warm atmosphere created by our guide! The views along the river and bay were breathtaking, and we learned all kinds of Hawaiian lore along the way! The snorkeling was beautiful, easy, fun, and coordinated! We highly recommend the morning tour, bring a light wrap and towel plus a hat! The lunch is delicious, and of course, our guide made the day even more special with his ukulele playing on the beach! We chose several tours for our week, this one was our absolute favorite!

Our guide was impressive. Generational Hawaiian gave us a ton of history and ceremony. Treated us ALL like humans and NOT tourists. That was very refreshing for me traveling alone. Families and couples were catered to on my previous experiences, so this was great. Blew the shell, played ukulele and sang during lunch, and so full of knowledge that he NEEDED and wanted to share.

Had a wonderful experience kayaking and snorkeling and many thanks to our guide Cole who was super friendly with the entire team providing history of hanalei, Kauai, singing with Ukelele and guiding us riding the ocean wave etc. If you are visiting Kauai, i would highly recommend booking with them. Note: Personally, i am not that comfortable with water but had a great time the entire duration.

The entire adventure was excellent! Fantastic tour guide! Beautiful scenery. Great equipment. Snorkeling was so fun the waters were beautiful, the fish and other sea friends were abundant and so colorful. Lunch on the beach was very nice especially being serenaded during the meal. Highly recommend this tour!

The set up was very professional for check in, getting gear, and kayaking overview. Kolo, our guide, was very knowledgeable about Kauai’s history and you could tell he had a passion for his island. The kayaking was beautiful and easy. We also were given cards with fish we might see snorkeling and a bit about them from a Hawaiian perspective and that is one thing other trips snorkeling haven’t ever done, so unique. They had sand mats for us to use while we ate the provided (and very good) lunch on the beach after snorkeling. Kolo played the ukulele and sang Hawaiian songs while we ate. Wow! And we learned about how the mountains look like a dragon and the origin of the song Puff the magic dragon. Really it was quite an amazing tour. Kayak Hanalei is family owned and I recommend this tour while in Kauai!

The most memorable part of this wonderful experience was, when our kayak did a Huli in the ocean! 😂😂. Everything was memorable. The guide was so awesome!!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Amazing and easy paddle down the Hanalei River to the bay for snorkeling at Puu Poa Beach. Kolo was an amazing guide and even played and sang the ukulele for us! Saw a couple sea turtles, tons of reef fish, and a baby octopus. Will do again!

Our guide Kolo made our experience - he was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour was the perfect length, allowing for ample time snorkeling and relaxing on the beach between kayaking to and from the starting point.

Kayak and snorkeling is a beautiful experience at a beautiful location. You get the most of river, ocean, reef and sand beach for snorkeling. The guide Kolo is well informed, he knows the history and plant and marine life so well. Loved his singing with his ukulele
