This was one of the best tours we did while on vacation in Germany and Austria. Sadly the opening of the eagles nest was pushed back so we did not get to go up to it. We still saw several other important areas and got to see the countryside in a beautiful and unique way. Our tour guide Lena was outstanding she was great to talk to and a great driver. Although this was expensive it felt well worth it for our group.

Fantastic! What an outstanding day. Do NOT second guess booking this. Worth every penny and was a favorite day of our two week trip. Patrick made us feel like a local showing us the off beaten path to unbelievably beautiful locations. He made lunch reservations at the most picturesque restaurant in Hallstatt and provided the most relaxing adventure. We then headed to the Eagle’s Nest and his knowledge and guidance could not be matched. I cannot say enough about how much my husband and I enjoyed Patrick and the day he provided. We are already planning our return trip and 100% will request a day with Patrick again. You will not regret booking this!!

Our guide, Manfred, was very knowledgeable and informative. He made sure we were taken care of - from picking us up promptly at our hotel and at every stop on the tour. He gave us great ideas as to what to do the next two days of our stay in Salzburg. He also followed up by sending an email with the information in case we could not remember what all he had told us. I would highly recommend him - much better than a group tour.

Manfred was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable and efficient and made our excursion a very enjoyable one.

The guide Patrick from MCM was superb, explaining the history and geography relevant to our trip. The trip combined beautiful scenery with an insight into the significance of the sights we visited. We would thoroughly recommend Patrick and his company. Everything was planned carefully to ensure we maximised our time and got the best out of our tour.

Amazing trip from start to end. Manfred was a great guide, pointing out interesting sights and explaining bits of history. Hallstatt is truly beautiful and Manfred recommended lunch at a wonderful lakeside restaurant. Afterwards, he arranged for our tickets up to Eagle’s Nest, provided interesting trivia about the place and rooms. He drove us through small back roads and the views were fantastic.

This day was absolutely unbelievable! We would have never been able to see and experience what we did, had we not done this tour. Having Manfred, our tour guide, all to ourselves, was worth every penny. He was incredibly knowledgeable (grew up in the area) and stopped in a number of out of the way places, that we would have otherwise not experienced. If you want the flexibility to customize your tour, this is the way to go! We loved every minute of it!

Patrick was an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very professional guide. He did everything he could to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. We saw beautiful places along the way that we would not have seen had we not done the tour. Hallstatt was charming, peaceful and incredibly beautiful. Patrick made a recommendation for lunch, arranged the reservation and it was a highlight of our time in a Salzburg. Eagle’s Nest is a must to experience. So much history and breathtaking views.

My husband and I had the immense pleasure of a private tour with Manfred seeing Hallstadt and the Eagles Nest. Manfred is a wealth of information regarding historical and current events. When I told Manfred the Eagles Nest was of great interest to my husband, he showed and explained historically significant events. In Hallstadt, Manfred provided recommendations for lunch and the best spots for photo-taking. He even took some great pictures of us. To end the day, Manfred conveniently dropped us off for dinner at a great local restaurant. Without reservation, I highly recommend booking Hallstadt and the Eagles Nest ~ it’s a full day of adventure and fun!

Lots to see and so little time. Salzburg is a great place to look round and you can spend a day he re. The Eagles Nest has great forward-looking down over Berchestgarden and on to Salzburg itself. Fantastic bus ride up there.

The scenery at both locations is spectacular. Our guide Peter was the best. He was right on time in the morning, very pleasant and had lot# of knowledge to share with us. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day.
