My husband and I decided to take this tour as a last minute addition for our one day stay in Nairobi and we do not regret it. We were picked up from our hotel (which was convenient) and taken to the Giraffe Center where we not only fed these amazing animals, but learned about the conservation effort it took to raise their numbers from 130 to 1000. We were then taken to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust where we saw a baby rhino and many baby elephants who will someday be sent into the wild when ready. These two experiences have been on my bucket list for years and we were taken to the best spots so we could experience both in the best way possible. I have to mention that the tour company was easily contactable when we needed help filling in an online form to visit the Nairobi National Park. Great communication is a must for a good tour company, and our host, who was very knowledgeable in all things animals, made the entire day go fast. We enjoyed ourselves and we are sure that anyone who wants to try out this tour, will enjoy themselves as well.

During our previous safari, we hit all of the big 5, except for a rhino. The great news is that my daughters got to see a baby rhino before we left by visiting the elephant orphanage with Meshack. Meshack was such a gracious host, he took us to the giraffe center, elephant orphanage, a wonderful stop for lunch, and an amazing cultural experience at the bead factory. Do not miss this tour if you have young children. What a wonderful way to end our vacation in Kenya.

Everything went smoothly. Our guide was very helpful. However paying for the park fee was a disaster. I was told that my credit card didn’t go through. We paid our guide in dollar so he could pay in shillings. However my bank said they approved the transactions three times. Now I have to file a claim for the three charges. How long this will take is any body guess. A clear instruction on how to go about paying the park fees is a must!!! Better still include the park fee on viator charges and let the tour operator obtain the tickets for the park.

Wife and I had an amazing time, Kelvin was super informative, friendly, and had great energy! He got us everywhere we needed to go on time and ahead of the crowds. This a great option for anyone with limited time in/around Nairobi with a safe and comfortable tour personalized for your needs. There were some issues with the E-citizen platform when we tried pay for the park fee but Kelvin was there to help us solve any issues. We can't wait to come back to Kenya and check out the other 'Rustic Nature Tours' available!

This tour was awesome! Denis took great care to make sure the entire day was comfortable, that we got everywhere on time, and that I had everything I needed to make the most of each experience! My favorite part was visiting the Sheldrick Elephant orphanage - it’s a must! The giraffe center was also great, and I loved touring Kobe Tough beading factory. It was great to meet some of the women working there, and was able to get some amazing gifts to bring back home! Bonus: the food at the lunch spot we stopped at on the way back was delicious! Would definitely recommend!

Kelvin was great. Very professional. He helped resolve an issue when I had trouble purchasing an entry ticket for the National Park, and he got us the best and coolest viewing area for the elephant orphanage. I would definitely recommend him.

A great way to spend a day in Nairobi. Getting to feed the giraffes and be so up close to them is amazing, and the elephant orphanage does incredible work. My driver, Denis, was very helpful throughout and took pics of me whenever I wanted them - thank you! Highly recommend as a solo traveller.

I had such a great day on this tour. Sam, my guide/driver was extremely knowledgeable and gave me a short lesson at the giraffe centre I otherwise would not have gotten. Not only was Sam knowledgeable but also personable (he’s also willing to take your touristy photos with the animals). This tour takes you to the Giraffe Centre earlier in the morning meaning you miss the crowds but it is not rushed, furthermore the elephant orphanage was spectacular. The Kobe Tough beads and leather tour was great. This organization is fantastic and truly does so much for the community, a great addition to the day as I would not have known about it otherwise! As a solo female traveller I felt safe this whole tour and would recommend it to anyone

This tour was a really enjoyable and easy thanks to Denish. He was a great guide - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Everything was very well organised, even though I only booked the night before. The Giraffe Centre was a great experience to feed the giraffes and learn about their conservation. Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was fun to see the orphaned elephants having their lunch and a great place for photos! Finally we went to the bead workshop, which was interesting, as well as a cafe and craft shop to buy some souvenirs. Overall, a great day out which I would highly recommend!

We did the Giraffe center and Elephant orphanage in Nairobi Kenya. Faith was our guide and she was amazing. Picked us up on time in that crazy Nairobi traffic. Told us a lot about the city as we drove and about the giraffes and elephant as we headed towards them. Both places were fantastic!! A perfect half day tour and we had the perfect guide in Faith!!!!

Kelvin is the best guide you can ask for! We booked him for the elephant orphanage and giraffe sanctuary tour. He was so friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and patient. We already did a safari in the Masai Mara with a local guide prior to this tour, so wasn’t expecting anything more than what we already experienced, but wow we were blown away by him! Definitely book Kelvin for a tour when you visit Kenya

Douglas took me on a great tour of the giraffe refuge and the elephant orphanage. Those were great experiences on their own, but because we were in the Nairobi National Park already he said “let’s do a game run and see what we see”. He communicated well with other guides via phone and found out where the two male lions were lounging about while the lionesses were out hunting. It was an awesome site and we saw many other animals during our game run. He’s an excellent guide and knows the park well. I can’t recommend enough that you book him for a tour.

5 stars for the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for helping rescue, providing rehab, giving medical care and reintroducing animals to the wild. It's a special place and they do things ethicallly. Animals are so well cared for and you can see how much they love the keepers, although the staff make sure the babies don't get too attached to their human carers by rotating. You learn a lot about the animals (baby elephants, baby rhinos, other wildlife needing resuce), the work of the trust beyond rescue and the reintroduction process which can take up to 5 years to ensure the babies are properly integrated. You can adopt a baby elephant to help with their care. The area is huge and they only allow an hour each day for visitors (during midday feeding time). The keepers don't force the elephants to come near, but some of them move close enough to enjoy pats or rubs from visitors under the keepers' watchful eyes. They're pretty playful and it's amazing to see how healthy they are after hearing the stories ofnhow they were found/rescued. The tour guides don't enter with guests, but it's pretty straightforward and the truat has a lot of staff to answer questions. The Giraffe Center was good, worth it despite it being a pretty short stop. Less than an hour but you can opt to stay a bit longer to hang out with the giraffes. They don't make the giraffes come close either and are strict so the animals aren't overfed, so they're doing it right. Good brief talk on giraffes so you learn about them, and the staff were very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions about the giraffes while we were in the feeding area. The tour can be done DIY to be honest, but it was nice to have someone make sure we got to the places early enough. There was only 4 other people with me at the Giraffe Center while we were there.

The whole experience was fantastic. Our driver and tour guide Meshack was very knowledgeable throughout. We started off the day at the bead factory then went to David Sheldrick elephant orphanage and finally at the Giraffe centre. It was amazing to see the elephants were very well looked after by Sheldrick trust and we could go close to them and stroke them. At the Giraffe centre we could feed the giraffes and learn a bit more about them. Definitely worth it for the experience.
