We had a blast on our half-day sailing trip with Nat! It was a beautiful day and we learned a lot - we were complete beginners and Nat helped us understand the basics of sailing and try our hands at the different skills. It was an excellent way to get out on the water and try something new, as we as to see the area. We highly recommend this experience!

Our 3-hour sailing lesson was the highlight of our week on Orcas Island! In fact, we asked to schedule another one. Captain Nat is an excellent sailing instructor and creates a very enjoyable experience.

Nat was wonderful! Our family booked with him last minute (3 kiddos, 5, 6 and 8) and he was a pro. He was fun and patient and was genuinely excited to teach everyone and let everyone participate. I thought 3 hours was going to be too long but it went by quickly. Nat ate lunch with us and we really enjoyed his company, professionalism, and kindness. Couldn’t recommend him enough, definitely worth it!!!

Incredible experience! Captain Nat knows his ways around the boat and the surrounding waters like the back of his hand, and he is happy to share and teach so that you can have the sailing experience of a lifetime. A total professional who’s passion and enthusiasm led to a safe and unforgettable experience. To top it all off, we were lucky enough to see a sea lion swimming alongside and two iconic bald eagles resting on a rock. If you visit orcas island and you don’t hit up this company, I promise you you’re missing out.

I can’t say enough good things about our trip with Nat. We had such an amazing time. It was THE highlight of our trip on Orcas island. Nat is an excellent teacher and was wonderful with my teens. He really gets in with you, meeting you where you are with sailing and making it fun and educational. We’ve never sailed before and didn’t even know we’d be interested necessarily. Now my 10 year old wants to go to sailing camp! We would recommend this excursion over any other we did while here!! My kids LOVED It!

I can not recommend Orcas Island Sailing and Captain Nat highly enough!! Nat was extremely patient with our 5,7 and 9 year old and truly put them in the drivers seat for our sailing lesson. They learned how to work the sails, steer the boat, park the boat, read the wind and “set the course”. Nat made the day so fun for all of us with a trip to ice cream island! It was a perfect day with an amazing captain. I would recommend to ANYONE who wants an authentic orcas island sailing experience. Thanks Nat!

Sailing with Nate was a great experience, he was very accommodating with me and my friends and each of our skills and comfort level. Would really recommend him for sailing with any age group or skill set.

Nat was so great teaching us inexperienced sailors! He loved showing my children (7&8) how to do different jobs on the boat and teaching them the sailing lingo. My daughter was pretty nervous but he was patient and by the end she did not want to leave. Nat loved how eager my son was to learn and showed him all he could! He’s very knowledgeable and we got a lot out of our trip. Definitely a highlight and we will be back for more!
