The most amazing trip to the Andes. Our guide took us to a remote part where we saw many many condors. We hiked the grassland to admire the flower and fauna. A fox even spied us. And a roaming horse befriended us.we then sat down with wine and a bountiful tray of cheese et al. Best was the 360 view of the Andes all by ourselves!!. No one. Just us and the view. Ps our guide was amazing...but i forgot his name

We wanted to get out of Santiago to go into the Andes, but didn’t have a lot of time. Our guide Nick, took us to 3000 meters where we saw condors and then had an absolute blast drinking wine and eating cheese and crackers, looking out over the mountains. Nick was the best tour guide, who knows perfect English and haves Ua insights into so many things. I really recommend this tour!!

Personalized, friendly, knowledgeable, safe, experienced, and flexible. Just the perfect time on a private tour. This was the second trip with same company as we liked the first trip so much!

We saw condors! It was a long drive up a winding mountain road, but worth it to see condors in the wild. The trip was capped off by a fabulous snack of cheese and wine, with 360° views.

This is one tour you don’t want to miss. Matthias was a fantastic guide and a pleasure to spend the afternoon with. He is very knowledgeable about Chile and well versed in navigating the Andes. We made a few stops prior to our wine and cheese stop where we saw condors and beautiful landscape. Our wine and cheese stop was at a secluded area with just Matthias and my wife. We spent the rest of the afternoon with great wine, cheese and conversation. Definitely a highlight of our time in Santiago.

This was an excellent trip into the Andes by a very knowledgeable Guide called Nicholas. We were lucky enough to see a Grey Fox, Condors' and a Chilean Eagle. Nothing was too much trouble for our guide and we were treated to drinking red wine with cheese and biscuits high up in the Andes surrounded by beautiful scenery and absolute silence.. It was an amazing visit.

We were picked up at our Santiago hotel at the scheduled time. I appreciated receiving an email reminder a day in advance reconfirming our tour. Additionally, the company was very responsive to email communication when we changed our hotel pick-up location. Nicolas who was our guide is extremely knowledgeable about the names of mountatins and flora and fauna. My husband and I agreed that he was the most professional and knowlegable guide we had during our month in South America. The scenery and views on this tour are spectacular. We did see condors, although they were specs in the sky. The wine and cheese at the final viewpoint topped off a pretty much perfect day. We truly enjoyed this experience and took advantage of the airport drop off option.

This trip was wonderful. Our flight was delayed about 1-1/2 to 2 hours, but our driver was still waiting at the airport. Once we got there we drove up to Valle Nevado and walked around the ski resort for a bit. Then we went to a scenic spot and saw several Andean Condors soaring around, plus a Chilean Eagle! The driver / guide (Nicolas - fantastic!) prepared a delicious picnic of olives, nuts, cheese and wine. I would highly recommend if you have enough time on a stopover between flights!

This is a very low-key tour. There were only four of us in the vehicle, which made for a pleasant experience. It consists of a drive, with photo-op stops, up the canyon to a ski resort, some time walking around the resort more photo ops, including condors, and then a stop on the way down the canyon for wine and cheese. We went in late summer March, there was no snow even at the ski resort. Our only complaint is that the contact phone number supplied via Viator was inoperative, which was a bit of an issue since the driver was held up in traffic and we tried to make contact to verify that he was coming.

We opted for the morning tour. Our guide, Nicholas, from Andes Explora Expediciones, was waiting for us in the hotel lobby, and drove us up through the mountains to the Valle Nevado ski resort. Nicholas's passion for the mountains, and his great knowledge and love of the flora and fauna, were evident as he identified the wildlife around us, named the mountain peaks and told us some of their history. At the ski resort we walked through to a vantage point over-looking a deep valley, where Condors were usually sighted. Unfortunately we were out of luck. On the return down the mountain we suddenly went off-road to a secret spot where Nicholas set up a buffet of wine, cheese and olives. This was the highlight of our entire South American vacation soaking up the tranquility, drinking wine and eating olives and cheese whilst watching a condor and its young soaring below us, and, behind and above us, a caracara was teaching its young to hunt. Magical.

One of my "to do"-things in Chile was to go up to the Andes, and while in Santiago we looked for a tour which mathed our needs - smaller group and english speaking. After some researching we found Andes Explora and through phone calls and WhatsApp we got on a tour two days later. Pick up from where we where staying (and later drop off point of our choice) and another couple joined us. The guide was great with explaining about terrain and history while we drove from Santiago to Valle Nevado and we stopped a couple of times on the way up to see the difference in terrain the higher up we got. There was several awesome points where one could take breathtaking pictures but my favourite must be on the way down where we stopped to see the condors and we were served wine and cheese with an amazing view of <20 condors flying by just a few meters above us to farther away but it was spectacular and well worth the cost of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour and would gladly take it or other when i return to Chile in the future.

Tomás and Nicolas gave us the most amazing trip into the Andes Mountains. Not only were they really friendly, they had so much knowledge and information to share with our family. This is a complete experience that can be enjoyed by all ages as our party ranged 11 to 76 year olds. We were picked up on time from our hotel and whisked away into the mountains where we saw the geological features, Condors circling the skies and the most beautiful wild flowers. The trip ended with a great surprise location for our top quality local wine and cheeses where we had more opportunities to learn about Chile from our amazing guides. I would recommend this experience for anyone who wants to enjoy the Andes with interesting, entertaining and knowledgable guides - this tour has it all.

This excursion with Coigue Expeditions is a wonderful half-day into the foothills of the Andes winding through a beautiful landscape up to the ski resort of Valle Nevado. On arrival there we were greeted with the sight of Condors resting on the rooftops. A small hike to a viewpoint was rewarded with not just stunning glaciated scenery but condors flying gracefully above us and in the valley below. Clearly such viewing is not always guaranteed but it does appear to be a hotspot. On the way back we stopped at another impressive isolated viewpoint for a wine and cheese picnic. With the great food and drink supplied we were watched over by an inquisitive caracara. Our friendly driver and guide Nicolas shared his knowledge and local insights to enhance our experience of this natural environment, stopping frequently for photo opportunities. Usually limited to no more than 6 people this is an excellent personalised, comfortable and enjoyable way to escape from Santiago and see the Andes if your time is more limited.
