Ask for Xin! Xin was prompt, very warm and welcoming, anticipated our needs, adjusted on the fly, and shared a deep knowledge about life in Shanghai, the historic area, and the region at large. She took excellent care of us and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. She’s the best! Private tours are always the way to go, the driver was very professional and prompt, and the car was above expectations with bottled water.

We went on this tour and really enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Chloe, from start to finish was excellent. She was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. The water town is a unique little town that is worth a visit when in Shanghai. The food, culture, and boat ride along the river were great. Highly recommend this tour.

We were contacted right away regarding our pickup time. Alana was super helpful with rescheduling our trip since it was raining the day of our trip. We were picked up by Blair as our guide and her driver in a nice car. They took us to our destination and on the way Blair was super nice and knowledgeable about everything there is to know about China and our destination. We had an amazing conversation with her on the way. When arrived to our destination we were given an extremely nice tour and Blair gave us the most incredible tour of the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao. Honestly I didn’t expect this level of professionalism and knowledge. Not to mention she(Blair) spoke perfect English. 10/10 definitely try this tour. (Specially ask for Blair if she is available)

We had a wonderful experience overall and would highly recommend this tour to anyone who visits Shanghai. Alana was extremely helpful and accommodating in getting things set up logistically. Our tour guide Caroline as well as our driver were very personable and friendly. Caroline had a ton of knowledge about the history and culture of Zhujiajiao and Shanghai in general — my partner and I learned a ton and find this to be one of the highlights of the experience. Overall we couldn’t have asked for a better tour experience.

It was a nice and quiet getaway from Shanghai city to Zhujiajiao water town for the afternoon in particular if you do not have the time to travel to Suzhou or other far away water towns. Our guide Jerry provided good details of the places we visited, and the driver was safe and on time. Overall, a very pleasant experience of the trip.

We booked this tour and Alana, the tour operator, contacted us immediately to advise about possible delays due to the heavy traffic as it was a public holiday in China. She was very helpful and accommodating and we modified the start time so we can leave earlier and skip the traffic. Alice, our tour guide, was lovely, and very knowledgeable. The water town was very picturesque with a lot of history. Overall a very good tour that it is highly recommended . Thank you Alice for taking such a great care of us.

Our guide Snow was amazing, kind, knowledgeable and flexible. We were met directly from the hotel in a very nice and comfortable vehicle and take straight to the water village. It’s a beautiful town with lots of great little shops. Great place to buy pearls and lots of fun opening live oysters to see what pearls are inside. Haggling on non-food items is highly recommended We visited on a Monday morning and felt like we had the place to ourselves, really peaceful and beautiful. Snow made everything incredibly easy. Highly recommend.

Today was very crowded with heavy traffic but our coordinator Alana has informed us before our departure. Our driver is knowledgable and patient. Our guide also try to accomodate our wishes and likes. Top notch given for this tour

Alana’s service was EXCEPTIONAL and I am so glad that I decided to do the tour with her company. I had a big group I was travelling with and many things such as transfers to coordinate and she was always prompt to reply and showing the initiative to provide solutions so that we could do the tour tgt. We took up two tours and both were amazing! Snow was our guide for Zhujiajiao and she was engaging and thoughtful to both the different age groups in the group. I found the Zhujiajiao tour well planned, with sufficient timing to really have a good feel of the place and time to shop and eat without feeling rushed like how some tours might be. The boat ride was lovely and lunch was a hearty meal that showcased many different local dishes. Overall just very pleased with the planning and execution and couldnt recommend more. Alana also helped us set up another short customised tour for yu gardens and can i say that the amount of thought she puts in her planning is commendable. All on a short notice of a day for the 2nd tour. For the 2nd tour she specifically chose a guide who was obviously well aquainted with yu garden and by the end of it, everyone in my group commented that we wouldnt have enjoyed the place as much as we would have without the guide. In fact it was so engaging that we started having random pple following us to listen and we had to make sure to stick close so we didnt lose our own space haha! I will highly recommend Amazing Shanghai to anyone who wants a more in depth experience of Shanghai. Well done

Felt rushed for a private tour and the guide did not add anything I could not see with my eyes. When I booked it only offered 3pm start which worked for me but this made it all rushed for when things were closing and guide kept going on about how we should have booked earlier! I am glad I got out of Shanghai however !
