My daughter (15yrs old) and I did the half day Muscat private tour with our driver and guide, Khalid. It was superb. Khalid tailored the trip to our needs, and re-jigged the order to give us the best experience. From the moment we got into his car (and he asked what temperature we wanted the car to be set at), with drinks and snacks in front of us, we were looked after like royalty. We saw the fish market, the fruit & veg market, then went to the Grand Mosque, the Opera House, one of the old Souqs and then saw some of the royal and governmental buildings. All the time, Khalid gave us incredibly knowledgable information about everything we past, the buildings, the history, the topography. It was 5 hours of permanent information, and all so very interesting. All thanks to Khalid. Everything we saw was amazing, but it was the way Khalid personalised the tour for us, and in particular for my daughter that made it so special. He was so attentive, so caring and truly made sure she did and saw everything she wanted, including finding the things she wanted to buy in the Souq (and helped her barter!) The Grand Mosque was probably our favourite visit, but everything was really interesting. It was the perfect trip. Thank you Khalid.

I cannot express how much I enjoyed the tour, primarily due to samr’s guidance and thorough knowledge of the major sites . Samr not only provided excellent historical narrative of the sites we visited, but also listened to my wishes and concerns and adapted the program as needed. We booked a Muscat city tour and Khalid was our guide. We were very pleased as not only his knowledge about the city is great but he also is very kind and helpful to navigate the more traditional areas. We visited the Sultan Mosque, the Royal Opera House, the Souk and the Sultan Palace. Khalid was very patient and organised and made our experience very pleasant. Day 2 and last day of our trip. Still our tour guide from day 1, we decided to take one last look around Oman and explore more. Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is very solemn and picturesque. Although its only half day, its still worthwhile. Thank you once again to Mohammed for accommodating us on our journey.

Our guide was Mohammed AlShamli and he was perfect for this short city tour. Knowledgeable but but not intrusive. This tour had lots of variety and was excellent value. We saw the Grand Mosque, markets, souk, Royal Palace and forts and we chose the National Museum to finish. Perfect for a 1/2 day.

We went on a half-day private tour in Muscat and found it a very convenient and efficient way to get to know some of the most important landmarks of Oman’s capital city in a short time. The tour includes visits to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the Royal Opera House, the fish and vegetable markets, the Muttrah Souq and the Bait Al Zubair Museum. The Mosque is a must, and the way we felt welcome in spite of our different beliefs was an unforgettable experience. I was with Saif. It was refreshing to see someone so happy, kind and so polite. His English was perfect and he was so proud to show me his city. To be honest: it was sooo hot and humid, it was a heavy sightseeing but he helped me through everything. At the opera house you have to buy tickets to get inside. But I only had 1 wish: just to make quick 2 pictures of inside. He arranged everything for me and I didn’t have to buy a ticket. How cool! Thank you a lot Saif!

The knowledge, communication and care of Saif our Tour Guide/Driver was outstanding. Saif's English language skills were great and the rapport he built with us and others at every venue is to be commended. He not only showed us the sites, but helped us communicate with vendors, volunteers, store holders at all venues. The whole tour was wonderful, Saif was the key. He was engaging everywhere from the Fish Markets to the Museum and the patient explanations and respect and care he showed us was the best we've had on a 3 month tour across multiple countries. The tour of the Mosque was inspiring, and the exposure to culture at every venue was wonderful. We could have stayed longer.
