Originally visited Wildwire in December, returned with mum and dad. Second time round, even more awesome! We met out guide, Dolce, harnessed up then in to a training boulder before beginning the climb. Very relaxed pace, the views were awesome and the route second to none. Dolce is absolutely amazing - one of the best guides, very supportive of dad who just did the first level, and celebrated the rest of the group throughout the trip. Also, a shoutout to Yasmin - thanks for all the help organising this trip! Thanks again Wildwire!

It was just a fabulous mix of excitement and challenge. The guides were great, views spectacular and really worth the money. Would highly recommend it

Thought I did an earlier review, but must have been missed. So here it goes: It is definitely one of the best things you can do in the area - it’s exciting, fun and utterly beautiful to stand on the side of the mountain just inches from the waterfall. The guides are great and safety is never compromised. This outfit is totally professional and manage to keep it fun and easy without you feeling unsafe. The whole experience is 10 out of ten. Also probably the best value for money adventure activity in Queenstown and Wanaka area.

One of the best activities in wanaka Queenstown area. Guides were perfectly pitched. We were a group of 10 and all absolutely loved it. Challenging from outset. Fully worth every dollar.

Fantastic experience - the guides were wonderful very friendly and helpful - they split the group up so there is one guide for every 4 people and then you go up in groups which means a smooth ascent and the guide can support anyone feeling nervous and keep checking safety. The climb itself is exhilarating/ the view from the top is phenomenal we were lucky with a sunny clear day to see across to aspiring national park. The climb isn’t overly difficult though to level 2 so anyone with very basic fitness should be able to do it and don’t let a fear of heights get in the way. Wish we could have gone up further to level 3. Really recommend as a fun activity if if the area

A great half day of adventure and thrills. The views were spectacular and the challenge was real. The instructors are friendly, fun and go out of their way to make the most of your experience, whilst still being very knowledgeable and safety- focused. Not the faint of heart but well worth it if you're up for it.

We had THE BEST experience with Wildwire! We had a group of 8 ranging from teens to late 60s and did the level 2 adventure. Our guides were Dolce and Georgia and they both were AMAZING! Georgia was great with our 13 year old who was a bit timid but crushed it and it ended up being the highlight of her trip! It was challenging but doable for all of our ages and we had the best time! Thank you all for treating us to such a fun adventure!

We have climbed VF all over the USA but climbing next to waterfalls was very cool and unique. Dolce was our guide and she was such a delightful person. We did level 3 and didn’t find it to be difficult at all. The business seems very sketchy because it doesn’t really have an “office building” and the gate was locked when we arrived. We really weren’t sure where we needed to go, nor were the other 2 vehicles waiting. Our only suggestion is maybe a sign that says “wait here for your Wildwire guide”. Maybe there was signage and we didn’t see it. The helicopter ride down was super cool. These people are the most safety conscious guides we have ever experienced.

We had the greatest day! The instructor Sarah was incredible and we felt very safe. We were to friends climbing level 2. I love climbing and got some great fotos and views. My friend is a bit afraid of heights, but Sarah helped her through it. We got a very good sandwich at the end of level 2. Just an amazing experience with adrenaline in magical nature 🥰

I absolutely highly recommend this activity, Sarah was an awesome guide and looked after us, very knowledgeable and professional, We're an older couple and hard no issue climbing, great day with some great memories and pictures

This was a gat activity. Quite challenging with excellent guides and a delicious lunch included on the level 2 climb. Highly recommended

This was the highlight of my trip to New Zealand. The course was challenging, the scenery was beautiful, the staff was friendly, and the food was yummy. I highly recommend this activity!

Can only repeat what the others were saying before me, such an amazing experience, I'm still smiling after 24hs! I've been living in NZ for five years, have done a lot of travelling and adventuring, but this is probably the best outdoor experience I've had! I did Level2, and loved every second of it. The guides were super friendly, lovely, patient and even snapped a few photos of us that were shared after the adventure. The sandwich and brownie were just a really nice plus. Couldn't have asked for a better day, I'm super keen to take my friends and family back here. While it's a bit pricy, it's 100% worth it, I'd highly encourage you to go for it.

This was our first Via Ferrata and we are HOOKED! While a physically challenging experience, it is mostly a mental challenge - and more so for those of us who are nervous with heights. Our guide Naomi was fantastic and this was the best thing that we did in Wanaka.

Our group of 4 visited Wild Wire on Jan 11 & we couldn't be happier with our experience. From booking to arrival & completing the climb, everything was very professional. The briefing was spot on ; informative & instructive without being scary. Our guide ,Tristan, was a Gem. With Tristan we felt we were in safe hands ; he was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly & a real natural in his role. We all felt a sense of achievement & would recommend this experience to anyone who can climb a ladder & isn't afraid of heights. The weather was just perfect & the views incomparable...just spectacular. Thanks Wild Wire.

I did level 2 Wildwire today and it was absolutely incredible!! Something I will remember forever. My only negative would be that it had to end! I wish we could have done it again and again. The guides were awesome, everything was really well explained and the safety measure were first class. Our instructor, Liam, was so great to chat to and made you feel really comfortable while still encouraging you to step outside your comfort zone. I’m grateful that Mark came up with this epic idea which has allowed us to enjoy such a special experience.

We loved our via ferrata experience with Wildwire! The guides were all wonderful (friendly, very safe, fun to spend time with during the climb), the views of the waterfall and the lake were beautiful, and climbing alongside the water kept us cool even on a sunny summer day. The guides did a good job dividing groups at the beginning of the day to accommodate different comfort/skill levels with via ferrata and climbing. My partner and I are both rock climbers and loved having this as a 'restful' way to get views and scale some rocks.

Our family had an amazing time! We really appreciate Jeff’s excellent safety instruction - he was a fantastic guide.

We had such a great adventure with Wildwire! We had originally only signed up for level 1 but it wasn’t enough! We had to do level 2 and we gave no regrets! It is a challenging course but if you are confident and not scared of heights you can do it! Our guide Tristan was awesome and he even sent us photos after. Definitely recommend if you are planning a trip to Wānaka!
