This is a long overdue review, but I just want to say that Qin is really amazing! She's so experienced and has so much knowledge about the nature and wildlife in Langkawi. During the mangrove tour, I asked a lot of questions about the fauna and flora in Langkawi. She is very patient and shows how passionate she is about the nature and wildlife in Langkawi! I would totally recommend everyone to book a tour with her. Can't wait to go back and explore the other parts of Langkawi!

A fascinating tour of the bat cave and mangrove forest, including crab, eagle and general wildlife spotting. Qin was hugely knowledgeable about the prehistoric geology, the flora and fauna and really brought the tour to life. We have been on a few kayaking tours in the past and this was definitely the one where we came away with the most knowledge and understanding of the importance of how the whole ecosystem fits together. Qin is such a great fun guide! Highly recommended.

We really loved the tour! Qin was amazing and told us a lot about the flora and fauna. As it was just the two of us we basically had Qin to ourselves :) The atmosphere was extremely calm. We didn’t have to hurry in some way and were able to soak in the surrounding. We would highly recommend this trip!

After seeing her flyer in a cafe and reading the great reviews, we quickly booked a half day kayaking tour with Qin. It was amazing! She is a fabulous guide with deep flora and fauna knowledge. Accessing the mangroves with kayak is the only way to go and our kids (10 and 13) loved the experience as well as visiting the bat cave at the end.

Really fun and educational experience that makes us appreciate mangroves. Kayaked through narrow channels of a mangrove forest, saw majestic brahminy kites, white bellied sea eagles, fiddler crabs and bats. Beautiful and calming views all the way. Would come back with other friends in the future if we come back to Langkawi!

My wife went on this trip with her friend and decided that it was well-worth going again, and dragged the whole family this time. Not putting much expectations on it, I was truly blown by the whole experience, as I came face-to-face with the beauty of the mangroves, grace of the eagles and pseudo-eagles, and the calm waters of the river. It was easy going from the start, we had two kids in tow and they had no trouble paddling the kayaks. From the main river, we ventured into the small sides, a maze of smaller waterways, maneuvering through the shallows while keeping an eye on the wildlife surrounding us. There were plenty of sounds in the mangroves, all you need to do is keep an open ear, while you paddle on. The peak of the trip was a stop to the "feeding" spot, where the eagles and brahminy kites swooped down into the water for a speck of food. Being on kayaks, we were treated to a close-up encounter with the birds, and it was magnificent seeing them in action up close. After a good lunch at the floating restaurant, we took the boat to the bat caves. It was a short walk-through on wooden platforms, where we get to see the bats in their natural habitat. Throughout the whole trip, we were well guided and informed by Qin, who knows her stuffs well. She was passionate in her work, explaining the history of the place and interesting tidbits that you may not find from reading the brochures. I have always associated Langkawi with the legend of Mahsuri, the beaches and chocolate shopping, so this trip was an eye-opener to the other side of the majestic island. There are plenty of activities available, which includes hiking, nature walks, kayaking, exploring waterfalls, and many more. Definitely worth another trip, and we'll definitely hook up with Langkawi Wild Buddy for our next adventure!

Will you spend a lovely time with the guy Kim, she is a responsible guide, and in the morning the agent have some misunderstanding with our plan, but the guide have very much patient to solve the problem and we have a lovely time with her. She has the very good English skill and easy to talk.

At first ofcoz I’m the one yg paling annoyed and super scary about the swamp cooler things but you managed to convince and make it comfortable!! Great thing we got two different situations along mangrove swamp in shower rains and sunniest windy day are superb . !!! We been welcomed with white bellied sea eagles in open water , then Brahminy kites jumped caught the fish 🐠 I guess 😂 is remarkable. Alip putting them flew away with his volume numbers #7 and sorry for that !! Next session Insyaallah I’ll makesure he’s not making noise.. The natural of mangrove remains Langkawi as best geopark.. Kudos to you Qin and Langkawiwildbuddy team for making this amazing trip . Pretty much that’s is short getaway from stress works and best treatment eventually.. Qin was a great guide and the tour was fun and enjoyable mixing a bit of show and adventure with 2 hours real kayaking including some relax in the deep jungle while being on our kayak. We also always felt safe, there was some wildlife but yet no dangerous animals or insects around and if they were they would have been far from our reach in the kayak. Thanks Qin!

I have been to Langkawi multiple times. I must say, this is one of the highlights of all my trips. You get to experience nature, up-close and personal. It is not as commercialised as other tour trips around, which tends to be overrated. Qin, our guide, is very knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. She knows the mangrove well and it was a pleasure to be guided by her. Best part is when she shows you the ‘hidden’ areas where there is just no one else but you, your kayak and the nature. I would recommend all who love adventure to join Qin.

Had a really great experience with Langkawi Wild Buddy! We're return customers because of their genuine and warm personality. Fikri briefed us with loads of interesting facts along different parts of the trip. We learnt a lot about the wildlife there, and kayaking through the mangroves felt really surreal. Me and my husband signed up to the Mangrove tour with Qin, initially expecting it to be one of the less impressive activities during our stay in Langkawi. That expectation couldn't have been further from the truth! The tour itself was a captivating trip across time, understanding the depths of nature and the endless bounty it provides us, from the ancient bat caves to the mangrove forests by kayak. Qin is spectacularly good at what she does, she knows the forests, the lakes and the animals that live extremely well and her passion keeps every second engaging and adventurous. I would recommend this as an absolute must do for your Langkawi itinerary!
