Really good experience. Imran our tour guide provided us with a lot of information about Qatar and the desert. Sand bashing was really fun and we had a good spot to watch the sunset

I had an unforgettable half-day adventure with the dessert safari, sandboarding, camel ride, and inland sea visit. Salman, our knowledgeable tour guide, elevated the experience with his expertise and friendly demeanor. The thrill of sandboarding down dunes, the serene camel ride, and the breathtaking inland sea views made it a perfect blend of excitement and relaxation. Salman's insights added depth to the journey, making it an excellent desert escapade that I highly recommend.

Had a tour with Salman. Lovely driver who collected us and brought us through the desert. Great experience. We did a camel ride, dune bashing and sand boarding. Would highly recommend.

Unique experience. A must do. Our driver Taj made us feel very welcome and really good driver in the sand dunes where you felt like being on a wild horse bouncing up and down. So much fun!!! A short five minute swim in the Persian Gulf sea is also a must do.

I’m shocked to see the positive reviews of this tour group after my experience, but maybe what happened during our “tour” explains why they are highly rated. We were picked up in Doha, then driven down south to the sand dunes, no problem there except our guide barely talked to us or told us what was going on, it was like being in an Uber. The first stop was the camel ride, which lasted all of maybe ten minutes, was EXTREMELY rushed and honestly just wasn’t fun. From there we went out to the dunes, I was under the impression we would be able to drive the vehicle ourselves at some point in the dunes but instead we were just basically along for the ride while our guide drove around. I don’t really understand why we were charged almost $300 USD to give the guide a free joy ride in the desert? We stopped at some pretty lackluster spots for photos, and again were never really told what was going on, just kept getting pushed in and out of the vehicle. Supposedly sand boarding was included in this experience, but that also didn’t happen. We went to coast and then started to head back toward Doha. This is where the trip got scary. Our guide was absolutely reckless driving back out of the desert, and back on the highway to Doha. Tailgating, high speed, so many near crashes I was starting to fear for my life. I know driving in these countries is different, as I’ve done it myself. But this was just pure negligence on the behalf of the guide. The major issue is when we stopped to put air back in the tires coming out of the desert. We parked and the guide asked if anyone needed to use the restroom, one of the members of our party did so he got out of the vehicle. When he did, he accidentally hit the car next to us with his door, complete mistake. The driver of the other vehicle got out and reasonably was upset, and wanted it fixed. My friend tried to give the driver money for the repairs, but insisted since we were guest in the country that he would not take our money and have it fixed on his own instead. We left. Our guide said the other driver would go to the police in the morning and file a report. At this point, the guide began asking us to pay for the damage. Now, I’m not sure how insurance works in Qatar, but I don’t really see why we would pay for something that was clearly an accident and should be covered by basic insurance, which I’m assuming he didn’t have and thus is where he became aggressive in asking us for money, and also leave him a an extremely good review(which really irritated me considering how bad this experience was), you can see that review below from Joseph N. Specifically 500 QAR, not really sure where this figure came from, but he insisted we had to pay him. I’m not really sure what choice we had, we had to get back to Doha and at this point felt somewhat hostage to this guide until we paid. The driving became even more erratic and dangerous to the point where I was getting sick. I planned on trying to get the guide to drive us back to the hotel and then confronting him there, even getting the police involved if need be. My friend who did the damage decided he would just feel better giving him the money and getting back safely. So when we stopped for fuel he withdrew the money from the ATM and this completely changed the attitude of our driver. Again, I believe this incident may explain the number of high reviews, but I cannot stress enough that this is in no way worth your money, and could put you in danger. We will be contacting Trip Advisor about this as well.

Very good driving skills. Nice music playlist. Sunset in the desert is strongly recommended. Go at a time where you have light at the sea and sun set in the end.
