My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the outing to Ribera del Duero. Ignacio picked us up early and he started sharing the history of Madrid and onwards on the wine making and different styles between RDD and Rioja. We visited 2 vineyards ie Bodegas Valsotillo and Bodegas El Lagar de Isilla, and had lunch at the El Lagar restaurant. Firstly the wines at both bodegas were lovely, and they gave generous tasting pours. Lunch at the restaurant was excellent! Do order the lamb cutlets as it just melts off the bone. My friends still talk about the best lamb dish they had in this trip. Ignacio made the trip very engaging and he was very knowledgeable on the history and wine making techniques. Would highly recommend this trip to others.

It provided an in-depth exploration of the entire wine-making journey, starting from grape harvesting and meticulous selection, progressing through filtering and fermentation, to the wine barrel resting period, and concluding with the bottling process—all accompanied by insightful and detailed explanations. The experience included a delightful tasting session featuring seven or eight exceptional red and white wines. The tour guide,Ignacio, was exceptionally fluent in English, offering a comprehensive overview of the rich history of Spain and its intricate connection to the world of wine. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour guide for an enriching and enjoyable winery experience.

We were a party of four and we were fortunate to be the only ones with Ignacio. This was the highlight of our one week stay in Madrid. We travelled comfortably in a nice van up to the Ribera del Duero wine country. Ignacio was entertaining and educational sharing Spanish history and the history of the wine in the area. We visited 2 wineries with different methods and approaches to wine making and learned SO much. We also had a delightful lunch in Aranda de Duero with authentic cuisine where we sampled and shared various dishes. It was a long and lovely day and adventure. I highly recommend this tour. Ignacio is a delight. He's kind, competent, and thoughtful.

Lisa was the best. She took her time with us, showed us everything we needed to see. Recommended us in every situation when we needed advise. And most importantly, she went out of her way to consistently make sure we were having a great time and if we needed anything at all. First class service throughout. I would recommend this tour to everyone I know. Especially if you enjoy a tour guide who loves what she does and will make you feel the same.

Oh my gosh, what a treat. So much information and a lovely guide Ignacio who made us feel so comfortable on the drive and gave so many stories and understood the terroir and wine history that it came alive. We booked this based on other travellers reviews and just so happy to have done so. The lamb in the restaurant was Devine and felt so looked after throughout the day. Would recommend in a heartbeat. Honestly I think this is one of the best guided tours I’ve ever had. Ignacio was extremely professional and so knowledgeable. I think what made it so good was that you can see the passion that Ignacio has for great wine, great food, history, and passion and love for his country. Definitely recommend using him and his company for a tour!

What a wonderful tour to Ribera del Duero. Our favorite wines are from this region. Our guide Ignacio was very knowledgeable of the history of the Bodegas we visited. Truly a great experience!

Excellent guide with a very memorable experience at 2 wineries. We also had a spur of the moment visit to Castillo de Curiel with magnificent views, beautiful chapel and rooms. Lunch at an old water mill with authentic cuisine. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely time with Ignacio who was happy to share Spain’s history on the ride to the wineries. We had an incredible couple visits learning about the history of wine making in the area, the wine was fantastic and both wineries were very hospitable. We had a nice lunch at a local restaurant where Ignacio ordered a bunch of traditional items for us to try. Certainly a highlight of the trip. It’s a long day but it didn’t seemed rushed and would highly recommend.

Our tour guide Ignacio, he arrived on time, he was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and kept us entertained during during the trip, we visited two wineries we loved the VallSoltillo winery own by the same family for generation their wines were amazing! Ignacio was incredibly informative and fun. He took us to 2 wonderful wineries where he clearly knew the folks and the winery. We took a trip inside 400 year old wine caves that was a once in a lifetime experience!! Ignacio also took us to a local restaurant that was amazing (as evidenced by how packed with locals it was). All during the trip, Ignacio shared his knowledge of wine and wine making. We learned a lot and spent a great day. Would highly recommend!

Great little day trip from Madrid up to Ribera wine country and Segovia. Tour guide was super friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited as well as Spain in general. Wine was fantastic, and Segovia was a sight worth seeing.

This is my first time writing a review but after spending a few days in Madrid and Barcelona, I wanted to experience the other Spain - outside big cities. My Ribera del Duero tour with Ignacio was a perfect escape. What a pleasant trip! Ignacio was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and so fun to spend a day with. He adjusted my tour to accommodate my interests and curiosity. We stopped at many magical places - where no foreign tourists would go - and I experienced great food and wine. Ignacio made the trip so authentic and immersive. I am beginning to understand and appreciate the authentic Spanish culture and history. I have been on many popular tours during my travels but Winebus is truly a gem. I highly recommend the experience. And now I plan to bring the rest of my family in the Fall for another tour with Ignacio.

Guide was very knowledgeable of the area and winerys. Threw in a few "extras" such as stopping at a place to have a glass of wine on the way and went to a castle at the end of the day. Highly recommend this tour. There were 5 of us plus the guide so the group size was nice.

An excellent tour with an excellent guide! Winebar was truly a beautiful way to learn about Spanish wine, history and culture. We had a fabulous time at two different wineries enjoying so much delicious wine (and excellent food). Ignacio was a great and very knowledgeable guide whose English and translations were excellent. This was a highlight of our trip.

I booked this wine tour as a gift to my husband for our anniversary. It was the best wine tour we’ve ever had. The amount of knowledge I gained with regards to Ribera de Duero wine production and its rich history is priceless. Our guide and hosts are THE BEST!!!!

After being let down two days before our wine tour by Gourmet Madrid as we were only a small group of three, (they were happy to take us but with an additional payment of €100} we booked on this alternative wine tour with Winebus guided by Ignacio who was happy to take us. We had a wonderful day, visiting three bodegas and enjoying an amazing lunch in a beautiful restaurant in Aranda del Duero. Ignacio was a perfect host and guide with an incredible wealth of knowledge about the Ribero del Duero región. He did everything he could to ensure we had a memorable day, returning to Madrid late in the evening armed with an increased knowledge of wine production and several bottles to take home!

This was the most fun wine tour I have done, and I have done many all over the world. Ignacio knows a great about Spanish history and Spanish wine. The wines we tried are remarkable and you will leave with a great appreciation for Ribera tempranillo! I find myself searching for it at home and thankfully these wines are available in the USA because they are great! The food and wine was amazing. This trip is worth your time and money! I actually did another tour with Ignacio two days later because it was so much fun.
