Linda our guide was fantastic. We had issues with the trains and were late but Linda was incredibly kind and patient. She waited for us and made no fuss. When we queued to pick up our tickets she went out of her way to find someone to help us get through it quickly (tip - use the entrance at the bottom of the road the train station entrance is on. Its much quieter!) So by the time our 2hr tour started we had lost almost half an hour. Linda took us around the main points of the site at a nice relaxed pace and we got to see everything planned including 2 buildings that aren't usually open to the public. Linda is clearly passionate about the history of pompeii, we learnt so much. She was engaging, we laughed, it was a perfect tour. I expected it to finish in 1.5hrs due to the late start but Linda incredibly kindly did a 2hr tour and even dropped us inside the train station and validated our tickets to ensure we caught our train (this was our 1st trip to Italy and 1st excursion). Linda went above and beyond and is genuinely one of the nicest people we have met. Thank you so much for everything you did for us, it meant alot and now we have the best memories and stories of pompeii.

Linda is great! Some members of our group had a tour with Linda years ago and brought us for a tour of Pompeii. Highly recommend getting a guide for visiting the site and Linda is the best!

Our your guide Linda was fantastic!! She knew so much about the history of Pompeii. What we valued most was how she would ask us questions and keep us engaged throughout the entire tour. Pompeii was an amazing experience and it wouldn't have been the same without Linda!

Our family - 7 people including 2 kids (7 & 9) - wanted a private, guided tour of Pompeii and luckily for us we chose Linda! She was terrific! !Very knowledgeable & great with the kids! Pompeii is huge & she expertly guided us around - it became quickly apparent that seeing Pompeii with an experienced guide was the way to go. Linda clearly loves her work. The kids asked a lot of questions & she was great with them (& us) . She knows her stuff. She has a relaxed manner & was fun to be with. We were very happy to have a private guide (vs being herded around as part of a large group). Would we choose her again as a guide-absolutely!!!

I booked a guided tour of Pompeii as suggested and was not disappointed. There are many companies available to book with, but i used 'Get your guide' as i used them preciously for a tour in Rome. Was contacted thr night before with full details of meeting place. They were also available on 'chat for questions. Picked up on time and taken directly to Pompeii where we were met by our guide. Rather than have a guide shouting information to is, we were provided with ear pieces through which we could hear all the facts relayed by her. She was very knowledgeable and answered any questions. Next was lunch which was pizza and then on to Mount Vesuvius. This is an easy climb and plenty of time was allocated. Overall, great trip but it is a full day as the journey time from Sorrento is approx 1.5 hrs

Quite a short tour of one half of Pompeii. Excellently organised and guided. Pompeii is very busy but there was room for everyone to see the highlights. If you want more time and to see it all book a full day trip. Be prepared for rough paving and very hot temperatures.

Wonderful tour of Pompei with my 11 year old son. Linda was super knowledgable and had a really nice way of explaining things. We’ll be back !

When we were planning a trip to Italy, we knew Pompeii was a must-see and set about finding a tour for it. We browsed through so many options that made our eyes cross but what made us decide on Linda was that it was a personal and professional tour at a competitive rate. You had the freedom to decide on the time, content, and there was no need to jostle around others to hear your guide more clearly. Pre trip communication was Linda was quick and smooth. We were already happy with our decision, but were absolutely delighted when we met up in person to begin the tour. Pompeii is a massive site and Linda helped us navigate through it, dishing out interesting facts and stories at each turn. Linda is clearly an expert in this field and we walked away at the end emboldened with knowledge. We also had a couple of minutes to ourselves (despite the crowd) at each point of interest to take some pictures and soak in the historical view. Without a doubt, we recommend Linda for a worthy, memorable experience. We'd definitely consider Linda again if we return and would be more than happy to take up any other tours if she expands her services. Thanks again, Linda. Our cat says hi ;)

I normally don’t write long reviews . Tour with Linda was a memorable experience. We did a few guided tours while in Italy and we had the best experience in Pompei thanks to Linda . If you really want to know the history and truly understand Pompeii don’t look any further , Linda will connect you through WhatsApp or the message in trip advisor , meet you at the gate on time , we buy the tickets and she will take you around . Just to say , if my mom wanted a tour I would book Linda for her .

Linda was the perfect guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable, HIGHLY recommend her. Don’t be cheap if visiting Pompeii - get yourself a personal guide, well worth it.

My wife, myself and my 2 children (15 & 11) had a great visit with Linda. She even helped us get the entry tickets in a few minutes. Linda was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable and had a real love for the history of Pompeii. She kept us engaged and mixed asking what we thought the buildings and objects told us, with sharing her extensive knowledge of the every day life of the Pompeii citizens. Highly recommended.

It was amazing! I loved that the tour guide gave out ear pieces so that we could hear what they were saying. Next time, I will bring a little wet wipe to make sure the ear pieces was cleaned between tours. September is the rainy season. We had occasional showers but it was nice weather because it was not blazing hot.

We had a wonderful time with Linda and learning all about Pompeii! Even through the rain we really enjoyed walking through the ruins. It was the perfect amount of time and we are so glad we had Linda showing us where to go. Pompeii is not meant to do on your own, you need a guide and I highly suggest getting Linda and getting a private tour from her. This is the BEST route to go! Linda is extremely knowledgeable tour guide and was quick to answer all our questions. Could not recommend her more!

Linda Guadagnuolo was an exceptional guide. She has an archeological degree and made Pompeii come alive for us. Her explanations were excellent, and were enhanced by her sense of humor and personal charm. Her English is also excellent. Linda was one the best tour guides we've used. She took us on a 2+ hour of the ruins and was very informative and helpful getting us around the crowds and avoiding the lines at the busiest time of the year. She's the real deal -- an actual qualified tour guide (many here in Pompei are not) and she knows so much about the history and culture. We all left impressed. Highly, highly recommended.

Linda was such a fun tour guide! My husband and I enjoyed learning about Pompei through the eyes of such a knowledgeable tour guide. My husband was very impressed with her knowledge of the street markings..lol

Book this tour if you are thinking of spending some time in Pompeii! Even though it was a sweltering 95 degrees, we learned so much walking around the ruins with Linda. Linda is a gifted teacher and communicator. She was able to fully engage our whole family (including kids 10 and 12 years old who had zoned out for the majority of the Colosseum and Forum/Palatine Hills tour the day before due to heat.) Linda just did a fantastic job with the tour. She only stopped to speak in shaded areas, she asked us questions to get us to guess things (especially to ask the kids) which kept them involved. We loved hearing "si, si, bravo" when we ventured guesses that were correct. She made sure we wanted to see various things before going there— and all in all, she kept us so interested that we saw everything and took the entire 2 hours without realizing it. Highly recommend!
