Julio was the perfect guide and really made this day a great one! The tour was amazing from start to finish! We started in Guatape climbing the rock, visited the small town and learning about the Zocalos, then went to the coffee farm. Although we loved Guatape, I think the coffee plantation was my favorite part, we learned hands on the whole coffee process then got to enjoy a wonderful cup of coffee. We would hands down recommend this tour to anyone! 5⭐️

Views were amazing and the tour was very well paced. Oscar did a great job explaining the history of the area. The fruit tasting was also something we would've never been able to do without Oscar! Coffee tour was perfectly done.

We booked the Guatapé rock climb, city tour, and coffee farm option. Our tour guide Julio was so down to earth and felt like a friend showing us his home. The views from the top of the rock were amazing! The town of Guatapé is beautiful and there are so many stunning photo opportunities! Julio shared neat history tidbits about the everywhere we went. The coffee plantation was surreal- a real life organic coffee farm that is family owned and operated- a truly authentic, eye opening experience. We finished the day with enough time to try crazy cool fruit at a local market. Don’t hesitate and book this tour! You will not regret it.

Oscar was the perfect guide, and really made this day a great one. Picked up on time at the hotel, and we learned a ton about Columbia during the trip into the hills. We stopped for a fruit tasting before heading to the coffee farm, where we tried some new and interesting things. The coffee experience was great. Miller was a perfect host and very patient and friendly. The boat ride was pretty, and with more learning along the way. Oscar dedicated the whole day to us, and we added an unplanned stop on the way home for some chocolate con queso. It was a long day, and worth the investment. I would highly recommend this!

Julio was an amazing tour guide that provided all sorts of information that made our trip more enjoyable. We enjoyed the trip to Guatape, climbing the rock and learning about coffee as well as tasting delicious local fruits. I highly recommend this activity and I highly recommend asking for him as a guide.

Henry made our tour so incredible ! It was the best part of our trip by far. We stopped at a place with farm animals which was so amazing on our way to the rock and Guatape. In Guatape he brought us through its history and directed us to where we could get great Colombian food. To end our tour we went to the coffee farm where the wonderful local family explained the process for making coffee beans. Henry was very funny, spoke great English and made sure we were comfortable throughout the tour!’n

My friends and I highly recommend this tour! The tour of El Penol and Guatape, the rock climbing and the experience of the picking, roasting and tasting the coffee beans is a once in a lifetime experience! Mario was our tour guide. He picked us up at our Airbnb on time, was very knowledgeable on Colombia and had a lively personality. He made the day extra special for the 3 ladies from Wisconsin and Washington DC. This tour is a must do when visiting Medellin!

One of our best days in Colombia! We loved the small villages, the coffee farm and the scenery along the way but Julio was by far the best thing! He is so knowledgeable and fun and gave us an insightful look into Colombia! Highly recommend!

Julio was our guide and he was absolutely incredible. The itinerary allowed for the perfect amount of time at each spot, and Julio was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire region. We especially enjoyed the coffee tour and the stop at a local market to try some fruits grown in the region. Guatape was such a cute town and Julio showed us all the incredible art around the town. Couldn’t recommend the tour enough.

My friends and I had an amazing day on our trip from Medellin to Guatape and the surrounding area. Our guide Henry was absolutely fantastic - he provided an informative and fun-filled tour that exceeded our expectations. Henry picked us up at our hotel in a clean, comfortable car and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the way to Guatape, with Henry providing great background information on the region. Once we arrived, he took us to the beautiful viewpoint at El Peñón, where we climbed over the 700 steps to the top for stunning panoramic views of the lake and town. For lunch, Henry recommended an excellent local restaurant with fantastic views and regional cuisine. After lunch, we enjoyed a relaxing boat tour on the beautiful turquoise waters of the lake, taking in the scenery and impressive homes of Colombian celebrities. Next, we visited a wonderful coffee hacienda where we learned all about the coffee making process, from bean to brew. The owner gave us an engaging tour and we got to sample some delicious coffee. Finally, Henry dropped us back off at our hotel, ensuring we had a wonderful, memorable experience. Throughout the day, he was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating, tailoring the tour to our interests. I highly recommend this tour for friend groups or families (though maybe not with very young kids) - it's the perfect way to see the highlights of Guatape. Thanks Henry for a fantastic day!
