We found beautiful human kinds at Surf Life Tenerife. Thank you Maria Luisa for your perfect and precise organisation. We felt cuddled and welcomed like at home. Thank you Guillermo to helped us be confident with the ocean and the rocky ground. Thank you Angela to have brought us face our first green waves and for the amazing restaurant advices. And thank you Marta for the psycho-psychic support and to have let us feel safe in complex conditions. We went to Tenerife to learn how to surf and to relax, but we found friends that we want to meet again in the future.

These guys love their jobs, and it shows in every aspect—from the great advice they gave me about my planning to the overall organization of my trip—starting with the pickup at the airport and cool and cozy hostel accommodation they arranged, through driving me and other "students" to their school, all the way down to the actual training sessions! I had three instructors over my four lessons—Angela, Guillherme, and Marta (the shark!)—all fantastic and enthusiastic people, not to mention their teaching skills. :-) The group lessons start with a warmup, then some theory (adjusted to our needs and questions), and then water time! In a group of 6, there was plenty of time to practice, with the instructor helping or guiding, and over four lessons, I learned the basics, enjoyed a few dozen waves on my own, and most importantly, had a lot of fun!

I took one class. They we very kind and professional. The spot is nice for beginners and for pros too. If i were the i will choose them again.

My 14 year old son attended the group lessons and absolutely loved it. The instructors are knowledgeable, kind and patient. Even though he was on his own he really loved it and the groups were super friendly. Highly recommend.

My time at Surf Life Tenerife was absolutely amazing! I started with group classes during my first visit in January, and it was great. Marta and Alex, our instructors, were professional and motivated. They took the time to explain everything thoroughly, both on the beach and in the water. Even when the waves got big, we always felt safe with them. On my second trip, I only had a few days on the island, but I decided to book private lessons, and it was a game-change! Big thanks to Marta for her awesome teaching and motivation 🏄‍♀️. I couldn't believe how much I improved in just four days because of her training. If the surf conditions aren't favorable, you always have the option to go paragliding. I've done it many times before, but the experience here was totally different. A special shoutout to the school administrator. They made me feel right at home, ensuring all my classes were organized exactly as I wanted, and they were always quick to respond to my questions I'm already planning my next trip back ;)

I had surfing on my bucket list and gave it to myself as a birthday present. I had no idea and was full of anticipation and joy. Surf Life welcomed me with open arms. Everyone was super nice and took enough time. I was standing on the board right after the first attempt. An experience I will never forget for the rest of my life. Thank you, thank you. They also took photos of me on the board, which look perfect. They will have a special place on my wall with great memories. I can only recommend this surf school.

I had booked a surf course for 5 days - the lessons were very instructive & funny!!! The surf instructors were all courteous and often very motivating/friendly :)

Absolutely loved my experience with Surf Life Tenerife and that's all due to their amazing staff, professionalism and positive vibes. Booking experience: I booked the surf camp (so accommodation at Tortuga Hostel, group lessons and airport transfer). I spoke to quite a few surf schools, but Surf Life were the ones, who answered each and every of my questions, where super fast and reliable throughout the whole booking process plus very fairly priced. I got all the essential information a couple of days before I started my trip and felt very well taken care of, even before I arrived. About the hostel: Surf Life partners with Tortuga hostel which is a super chill. The rooms are great, the vibe is great and you get to meet tons of friendly, open-minded people from various places in the world and have different activies you can join. All the volunteers and staff are super friendly and chill. Surf Shop Team: The team at the surf shop - being it the booking manager or the girls taking care of all the equipment were super welcoming, friendly and professional and went out for their way to cater to all individual requests and needs, even at the busiest of times. The Surf Experience itself: To be fair, I was pretty sure that I wouldn't fall in love with surfing, but I still just wanted to give it a try. But I already made back-up plans by hiring a road bike, in case I wouldn't enjoy it. But damn I was so wrong - I totally fell in love with surfing and that's mostly to the amazing team at Surf Life and their contagious passion for the sport. The surf instructors ( I met Alex, Angela, Guillerme and Marta; and got to surf with the first two) are truly incredible - not only as instructors, but also as people. Every day when we were picked up for transport, we were met with enthusiasm, cheerful mood and a friendly smile. They are always up for a chat and share their experience and expertise with you. Even though they get to meet so many students all year round (which I imagine must also be quite exhausting), they really seem to care for each and everyone. They know your name, your strengths and weaknesses, your "fears" and take all of them into account, when teaching. Besides them being really professional and every class being very structured with warm up, theory and surf time (there are different groups depending on your level), I think what is most important is the way they teach and their positive energy throughout. They find the right balance between making you feel safe in the water, being supportive and at the same time challenging you, so you'll progress. And all that while just really having fun and being so incredibly joyful. I was amazed how they would remember everyones progress (and names) and work individually with everyone. And even though we must have looked like clowns on boards to them (well surfing is hard), they were so excited for every wave we caught and stand up we managed. They seem to really love their job and live for the surf, and that passion is simply contagious. I went from not getting the whole "surfer vibe" at all to spending my free time watching the "pros" catch their waves (while enjyoing the sunset and having a beer, strongly recommend!!!). I cannot thank the team enough - my time with them absolutely exceeded my expectations and I was super sad when I had to leave, but I am sure we we will see each other again! Reccommend: Unfortunately I didn't have the time, but next time I would also take a couple of private lessons in addition to group lessons. I had a great time at SurfLife Tenerife and can only recommend the experience to everyone. The whole team was super motivated and took good care of everyone. You were able to develop well during the surf sessions thanks to the different ability groups, which were not too big with 4-8 people in the group. The organization of the airport transfer, hostel booking and transfer from the hostel to the surf school was super organized and always reliable. If we had any questions, a contact person was available around the clock, even via whatsapp. Many thanks!

Me any my friends went to goup surf lesson for the first time. The instructor teach us everything about first steps how to surf and gave us some great advices. We spend time in water practicing. It was such a great experience for us. Definitely recomened! 😊😍

What a great school! I learned so much in one week. The teachers are amazing. They really want to help you and because of that you really improve in just a couple days. The vibe in the school is really good so also for solo travellars its a great place.

Booked one surfing class and one Surfskate session. Instructors are both nice and fun! I have made nice progress and had lots of fun!

Hello people, I came to Tenerife for a surfing journey and it was absolutely amazing! Let me take you on a ride of my journey, I was in Paris searching for a surf in Tenerife so I go to google and I put “Surf Tenerife” the 1st site that pops out is Surflife Tenerife. I go in and see that they have possibility to text you on whatsapp took that, and I receive a message with a voice note from Maria Luisa. The voice seems real and this was amazing to see, the person is actually real! Maria Luisa was extremely kind, funny and very precise on the booking! After only few minutes later i had already my surf lessons planned and the hostel booked for me. They proposed a Hostel called “La Tortuga” so far the best hostel in Tenerife (go and check my review for that one) I arrived to my first surf lesson with a warm welcome from Giacomo! The funniest person you can ever meet! He light up the music in the shop while we are preparing the suit to go in water. Giada was there with her beautiful smile checking that everyone got his suit and the shoes with the good size. The management is so easy when she’s around My first lesson with Alex was just amazing! The guy is a pro surfer and an extremely talented teacher, he made me want to come again as am beginner and loved it! The second lesson with Guillermo was fantastic as well! The guy can make you laugh for 2 hours non-stop while giving you the best pro tips for your surfing. I will always remember his tips of “don’t forget to smile” Third lesson with Guillermo (Number 2 yes there are two Guillermos ) and again was incredible. He thought that his english was not good enough but guys honestly just the way he talks you can understand everything and have a smile on your face! I thought that’s all and I won’t have better until Marta appeared with a lesson on SurfSkate. I was like omg what is this skate boarding i dont want that i want to surf! (Last time i did skate boarding i was 6 and i ended up crying). Trust with Marta it’s another story! She made me (I don’t know how) very enthusiastic for the skate boarding. And when the next day I did my surfing lesson with her, I was like omg I much more stable and can go right and left on my surf board! Mind Blown!! Last day went to surf and a kind guy called Antonio was driving me, he was telling me about his passion for surfing and how to work while enjoying life. Guys the guy can give you a TED talk I m dead serious. It turned out he’s the one behind Surflife tenerife. Last but not least, all the great surfing moments we have are actually filmed with the great photographer Andrea! He makes the best shot ever! From land, inside the water stealth with you and even from air with the drone! He made all these memories that I can look at in the metro while going to work. I am so afraid i forgot something but that was one of the best surf experience ever! Grazie mille Surflife Tenerife. I can’t wait to come back and surf more with you.

We spent two amazing weeks with Surf Life school. Everything is really well organized, starting from booking and communication. There is a big choice of equipment, very friendly staff, group pick ups organized. But what is the most important: the coaches here are truly committed and do adapt to one’s needs and level. My husband and I had already had some surf camp history in the past and wanted to really progress our technique, while learning some intermediate level tips rather than starting everything from 0. And this is exactly what we got, starting from day one! Even on the days with tiny waves, the instructors found a way teach us useful things about the ocean and paddling techniques that we leveraged once the swell arrived. :) Long story short, a huge thank you to the team, if we ever come back to Tenerife, hope to see you again and catch some bigger ways together!
