We had a great time with Fabienne. Our meeting spot was easy to find, and we found her to be knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. We tasted a variety of local specialties, and we walked around Aix and saw stunning fountains and architecture. The afternoon flew by and made us realize we needed to return to Aix to spend more time.

Fabienne was a wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable guide for our group! She surprised us with a lovely assortment of pastries and explained so much about the history and symbolism found in the town as we walked. We had a lovely lunch of local breads, meats, cheeses and beverages! Great day!

Fabienne was friendly and knowledgeable, and we enjoyed walking through Aix and learning the history. I think, compared to other tours we had taken, we expected more food. It was an enjoyable time, and we would recommend it to others, with caveats.

Another 5-star review for Fabienne...who truly made our short stay in Aix-en-Provence so memorable. She kindly arranged a transfer for us from the train station so that we could take the morning tour, which was when the market was thriving! She generously treated us to breads, cheeses and wine of Aix and took us to several of her favorite shops to experience some of the specialties of Aix. Fabienne beautifully shared her knowledge of the history and culture of Aix as we toured this beautiful city and made our short stay in Aix truly enjoyable. One of our favorite tours!

Wonderful morning spent with Fabienne. She took us to all of the significant sites in old Aix and gave us great insight into its history. We had lots of stops at local food shops to taste the local specialties and sat and had wine and cheese just bought at the market. I highly recommend her tour to anyone new to Aix-en-Provence!

This is an excellent tour. Fabienne is a knowledgable and interesting guide who has designed an excellent overview of the tastes and tales of Aix-en-Provence. She emailed us prior to the tour, providing a reminder and the necessary meeting info. She answered our many questions about life in Aix/France today and in the past. We visited several interesting sites buried in the neighborhoods of old Aix. We enjoyed a variety of uniquely local tastes, including the surprisingly good calisson candy from Aix's history. We really enjoyed our half-day with Fabienne.

We had a lovely walking tour with Fabienne. She was very knowledgable about the history and culture of Aix and was a fun tour guide through the beautiful city. We saw markets, churches and lovely gardens. She made some selections cheese, sausage, bread and rose wine near the end of the tour and also helped us with recommendations for the remainder of our trip in the south of France. I would highly recommend this tour. Five stars.

We loved this tour because it was both a history tour and a food tour. Our guide Fabienne led us through the city, explaining Aix's history all along the way and stopping occasionally for delicious local treats. We enjoyed buying bread and cheese from the market stalls and stopping for a wine and cheese break at a charming cafe. She knows the city well and had several photos and maps to help explain certain points to us. We would definitely recommend this!

Enjoyed this city tour. We went in July and were a bit worried about the hot weather but we spent some time indoors and the weather wasn’t a big issue. We learned a lot about the city and also had a chance to taste some cheese and wine. Recommend this if you are planning a visit to Aix.

Had a great walk through Aix with Fabienne. Saw and heard about the history of the city and had some great recommendations for lunch/dinner places. Also had a little lunch with Fabienne and she gave us an appreciate for cheese and the wines of France.

My friend and I are in LA and we met in the South of France to visit the Provence area. Based on the reviews of tripadviser, we decided on the walking tour with Fabienne in Aix en Provence, not really knowing what exactly to expect. It was SO GOOD! Our group was small --- 6 total (including Fabienne, our guide). Fabienne was professional but warm, knowledgeable and educational and so kind. I had done a morning in Aix en Provence with my husband by ourselves a few years back --- and we really just kind of walked around and didn't get much of it. But with Fabienne, we enjoyed the history, visits into local historical buildings, very hyper-local shops (not the bigger touristy shops), the farmer's market, and enjoyed a ton of delicious food without any pressure to purchase anything. In fact, she bought so much food for us (croissants, baguette, cheese), we almost felt bad not eating it all. It was a good amount food that my friend and i ended up skipping lunch. There was also a glass of lovely rose. I really felt this was such a worthy tour -- I would recommend it to anyone going to Aix en Provnce. Walking tours remain my favorite way to experience a city. And I would do another tour with Fabienne any day. It was a 100% positive experience.

Fabienne was a lovely tour guide. She had good knowledge of Aix-en- Provence. It was good way to see the various parts of the city. We started the day with some croissants and then had had a lovely glass of wine, cheese and cold cut meat for lunch.

An excellent informative and enjoyable tour. The history and explanation of this outstandingly beautiful little city. Fabiene was so thoughtful and engaging. Despite it being the most busy of the year (bastille day) she still managed to ensure the group all had the most memorable experience with tastings in some beautiful spots. Don’t have much for breakfast before you go!

We learnt about Cezanne, Aix's history and architecture with photos from her tablet. Fabienne bought us two cheeses, salami and bacon/cheese fougasse from the Sunday market and we sat at an outside table of a restaurant in the market square to enjoy them with a glass of rosé wine with ice which is the local style. She also brought us to shops where we could taste local sweets like calissons, nougat and navettes. Altogether, it was a most enjoyable time getting to know Aix and Fabienne. She left us with fond memories, a map of Cezanne's walking tour and a packet of calissons/nougat to express her thanks for choosing her tour. A most enjoyable experience not to be missed!
