Great golden circle tour with Martin. Super informative with a fantastic lunch at the tomato greenhouse. Stunning geyser and just jaw dropping landscape. Small group.

A great day trip, taking in the main golden circle sights but with the added bonus of a dip in the secret lagoon and a lovely lunch inside the tomato greenhouse (with a short talk about the farm). Our guide, Arne, was great, sharing information and stories as we went along. Our bus, (Freddy) was also great with huge windows, WiFi and comfy seats with belts. Getting to the secret lagoon early is great, as we avoided the very busy time. The stops in the afternoon were amazing, all the usuals on the main tour, so not particularly 'hidden' but the small group tour made it feel more personal. Thank you so much for taking us to see some of your beautiful island.

We spent a week in Iceland with Hidden Iceland. They planned our trip from start to finish - transfers to and from the airport, accommodation, and all the tours we did. The week away was honestly one of the best we’ve ever had - Trip Advisor should create a 6 star category just for this operator. And it’s also a perfect destination for parents and their sometimes (?) difficult to keep entertained teenage kids. First the service - Agata (who organised everything) was really great. Her communication was excellent and she tailored everything to what we wanted, giving very good advice, including changing a day’s plans late on due to the eruption. Everything was on time and as planned all week and she always contacted us when she said she would. The accommodation options were also good - Reykjavik Saga and Fosshotel in Reykholt. Second the tours - we did two small group tours, ‘Fire and Ice’ and ‘Golden Circle’. Both were great days and our guides Ragnar and Chris knowledgeable, attentive, and funny. We’d recommend both of them. We then did a private tour for 3 days to places like Reykholt, on and in a glacier, to beautiful waterfalls, hot springs, a goat farm, and a stables where we saw Icelandic horses (tip: don’t call them ponies or you can offend people 😆). On the last day we went around the Snaefellsnes Peninsula - this was because the Blue Lagoon was closed due to the eruption - but we lucked out as it was stunning. I’d urge you to visit this ‘mini Iceland’. I want to save the best for last though - our guide for this part of the trip was Loftur - man and legend - I hope you are lucky enough to get him to show you around such a beautiful country. He stayed up late one night so he could call us when the Northern Lights came out - it means we saw them at 1am. Now that is 6-star service. I don’t usually write reviews like this but it was truly excellent. Thanks Hidden Iceland for the trip of a lifetime.

Unlike anything you've experienced. This is a huge greenhouse with at restaurant. What a departure from the stark landscape outside! Our guide, Einar, helped us with menu selections to share. The bread and soup would be worth a visit alone! Everything we ordered was exceptional. Even the odd sounding tomato beer was delish. The service was prompt and friendly and the ambience was fabulous. A once in a lifetime experience.

I first want to mention that our guide was Robert, and while we had a wonderful itinerary, and great sights to see, he made the trip truly extra special. Robert has a genuine desire to make sure each participant has the best experience. He is patient, very professional, very knowledgeable, a very safe driver, and it is evident that he very much enjoys what he does each day. He also tailored the itinerary a bit to avoid crowds (of course, checking with us for approval) for which we were all very grateful. I’m also going to make mention of the music. Oh, and I forgot to mention that Robert is generous, as well! At lunch, he knew I was really torn between the ravioli and the tomato soup. Shortly after his meal arrived, he handed me a plate with a significant amount of ravioli on it. He insisted that I have it~ so I indulged…and I enjoyed every bite! How kind is that!? I’m also going to review the company, overall, because even from my very first correspondence months ago, with Emilie, I’ve received nothing less than excellent communication. And from our first phone call, I was quite certain that this was the company I was going to choose for my GC tour. But, because I leave no stone unturned, I spoke with many folks at different companies, as I was traveling solo and wanted to make sure I felt safe (as well as relaxed) during the periods of being in route. The tour itinerary does not feel rushed at all, there is ample time at each stop. And, at least in my opinion, everyone I dealt with seemed to take great pride in providing an excellent experience for their guests. This was a short trip, and every moment was precious. Hidden Iceland did not disappoint, in fact, they even exceeded my expectations. I may be returning in the spring, and I’m already looking into another tour with them. And, while I had never even considered it, Robert just may have convinced me to get on a glacier hike with Hidden Iceland! Thank you to you all for a 5 Star experience!

This is my second Golden Circle Tour in slightly over a decade, and by far the best. I was traveling with a friend that had never been to Iceland, so I researched carefully to get a company that seemed a bit smaller, given the armies of tour operators for Golden Circle tours available. They keep the group small and we actually had two guides that day - Amelia and Arna (Hidden Iceland does shadowing with guides as a way to help build their skillsets I guess). They both were excellent. One thing they did was consider the order of when they were taking us to different sites, so we could get good photos or be in a location when it was not as crowded. Example - we went to the Secret Lagoon last in the day. It was less crowded and was a great way to unwind after touring all day. They keep the groups small as well, and while no one likes being trapped in a van with 17 strangers for nine hours, it was made far more tolerable by having a smaller vehicle, breaking up the trip, and even having a lunch in a tomato greenhouse. That stop which I wasn’t planning on being interested in turned out to be really neat and lunch was lovely. Both guides were very engaging and good conversationalists - they didn’t just stick to memorized stale content. 100% recommend!!

The golden circle platinum tour today was brilliant despite the questionable weather. It was an absolute pleasure to have fellow foodie Einar showing us round, with his great restaurant recommendations, fun Iceland culture facts and expert driving skills. The whole trip was just what we wanted. The whole day was well paced, unhurried and relaxed without getting impatient to move on.

An epic adventure with Aniar (sorry can’t remember the spelling)! This trip is fantastic. We were lucky to have only a small group of 6 on our trip so it felt very special. Aniar was very pleasant and knowledgeable about all that is Iceland. He treated us like VIPs and ensured we were well fed and watered and also gave us crampons to stop us slipping. The trip was one of the many highlights of our holiday and something we will forever remember

This reviewed is going to be a little off. This particular tour was cancelled(weather related) but they immediately offered another tour for another day. The tour we ended up going on was the southern coast tour. The very next day we took this tour but with another tour company. So as for the things you do on this particular tour, do it, it will blow your mind. The beauty and power of the nature in Iceland is breathtaking. These are things you have to see while in Iceland. The greenhouse lunch was one of the coolest dining experiences we have ever had. This tour is well worth it and you won’t regret spending time seeing all amazing nature in Iceland. It is a one of a kind destination. Now, as to our guide, Bjorn, he was amazing. His driving skills are next level and we drove through some tough weather. Bjorn was so much fun. We literally chatted the whole day about virtually everything. At the end of the day when we were all exhausted he played Icelandic music and we napped while he drove us back to Reykjavik. He was knowledgeable, easy to talk to and one of the most personable guides we have ever had. At the end of the day we gained new experiences and a friend in Iceland.

We wanted to try to fit as much in a long weekend as we could - this trip looked like we could. I was worried it may be a bit rushed but it was not at all. In fact it has probably been one of the best day trips I’ve done. Collected at City Hall (Bus stop 1) at around 8.45 by Arrrna (I can’t roll my R’s) our lovely guide was well informed and her love of her country, its history and geographical landscape shone out throughout the day. The first part of the trip was the longest stretch in the mimi bus (about 90 minutes). First stop - Secret Lagoon - entry was included in the cost for the trip, at this time there was 1 person in the pool before us. A wonderful natural feel to the place with the old changing blocks adding to the atmosphere. From here it was to the Tomato Farm, a short and informative presentation and then lunch again included was tomato soup, unlimited bread which was all proper thick cut varieties of styles of bread - delicious. From here we headed to the Golden Circle route - the Gullfoss waterfall - staggering, icy falls, nature at its best. Then on to the Great Geyser - again an amazing place. The finally on to our last stop where we went to Thingviller National park place of the 1st Viking Parliament and where the tectonic plates are shifting. The whole day was amazing from start to finish- sometimes trips include a sales pitch at a ‘local authentic place but is just a feeling it’s to sell you produce, on this trip you get what you pay for - Small group (10 of us) Inclusions - entrance fees and lunch Local guide who was a credit to the company & Reykjavík, Quieter route avoiding the times of the large buses. A perfect 10 out of 10 day.

Amazing day with Einar our excellent and fun guide who is also a foodie with all kinds of great recommendations. Can't recommend this small group tour enough. Accommodating from start to finish. They want you to have the best time and have curated a special day that includes some additional experiences you won't get on the typical tours. Einar answered all our questions, timed it to avoid crowds as much as possible, took photos for us, and most importantly pointed out all the restrooms :) It was nice to get out into the countryside and see the stunning landscape and sights of Golden Circle. Photos don't do it justice. You have to SEE IT for yourself and you'll be moved. We used every last second of daylight yet didn't feel rushed. Perfect day. Highly recommend.

This trip seemed expensive and I had planned the sky lagoon, but that was booked up. This combo of the secret lagoon then lunch at the tomato farm followed by the 3 outdoor must- see sites did not disappoint. Our guide Martin was.amazing and the minibus was super comfy and efficient. The lagoon was lovely and so was the lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and would recommend.
