The tour was fantastic we enjoyed every bit of it! The car was perfect and comfortable and big big shoutout to Azar our guide/driver for the day who was absolutely fantastic. Was very knowledgeble with taking us to all the places and explaining the history. Was very patient with waiting for us and took us to one of the best doner kebab shops which was absolutely our favourite and we could never have found it if not for him. Highly reccommend requesting for Azar if you're doing this tour and choosing this tour operator. Everything was seamless and smooth and got quick replies and even some general advice from Azad as well which we appreciated with the helpful & quick responses. Unfourtunately we coudn't see the mud volcanos due to it being closed on the day but it gives us a reason to come back and choose Best Baku Tours again.

Great trip! Our family loved going to Qobustan, seeing and learning the thousand years old Petroglyphs. The drive to the Mud Volcanoes was an amazing experience! It was really cool seeing the Mud Volcanoes almost up close while they were bubbling. We enjoyed our trip with our guide Emin and definitely would recommend him to others visiting Baku.

We spent a perfect day around Baku with Azar who was very well acquainted with history, stories and made the tour very pleasant. To reach the mud volcanos we had to switch cars and had a great Lada experience. There was nothing to reproach during the tour. We honestly recomend it!

We had an amazing tour with our tout guide Azar. He is so kind and well aware of the places we’ve been through. Definitely recommends him when you take your vacation to Baku and Azerbaijan. It was also a really nice place to visit to tick off from the bucket list.

We booked this tour through Best Baku through email communication before our arrival. We chose to do a private tour for 2 at 90 usd for the day. This did not include lunch & ticket costs to the attractions. But the private tour worked out really well. We got picked up at 9 am by Azar, our guide cum driver in a clean and comfortable car. He was punctual, polite, knowledgeable & spoke English very well. 9 am start kept us ahead of the big tourist rush. This full day tour covers the essentials around Baku & the Heydar Alyiev Centre, which is a little out of the way though inside Baku. So even if you have 2 days in Azerbaijan for tourism, this should be the agenda for one of the 2 days. The Burning Mountain, the mud volcanoes are very unique to Azerbaijan as very few locations elsewhere in the World have this. Juts a tip for the mud volcanoes ... carry an empty jar ... to bring back some of the mud for use later. Carry some tissue and water to wipe off the mud which you may end up touching. We never felt rushed. The lunch spot was well chosen with a lot of local food options, I did consider doing a self drive version of this ,,, but having done the guided private tour ... I would recommend the private guided tour.

We had private tour for two people with our guide Hamran. He was excellent from start to finish. He had a great knowledge of the places we visited but was also happy to chat with us about his country and its history, culture etc. The rock art is really good but the mud volcanoes were awesome.

This was a solo trip that I wanted to pack as much in as possible. I had a fantastic few days with Azar, felt like a friend was showing the best parts of his home and he was able to accommodate my schedule request perfectly. Last day around the city I had Josh as my guide. Both were polite with interesting and knowledgeable information and I just loved Baku! Today we had a full day tour of the ancient and historical sites surrounding Baku. It was amazing! Our guide Cameron was perfect. We had booked a private tour for the 4 of us and it could not have been any better. A great way to see the sites surrounding Baku.

Wow! Azar was amazing! Such a cool day tour and definitely worth what we paid! He took us to so many amazing places, and he seemed to really enjoy sharing about his culture and answering all of our questions about the people today and the history! He also was good at reading what we wanted and needed and going with it. He could tell we were having fun cruising fast on backroads (part of the tour we did you switch cars to go to the mud volcanoes) and he even asked the driver to let me drive, which was super fun!!! When he drove in the city he was very safe and careful. He showed us all the local food to try as well! Thank you so much for an amazing day!!!! I would recommend this tour to anyone, I believe he is good at catering to any individual needs and reading what people want (: he also was so nice he even connected with me on WhatsApp before the tour, and answered my questions about recommendations for what to do and where to eat the day before. He actually called the train station the day before we even met him to ask them about tickets for us for the train the next day. My friends and I had an incredible experience on this tour! We were only in Baku for a couple days, so we signed on for two full-day tours with Azar. Everything went smoothly. Our guide was wonderful– he picked us up at the train station, helped us get sorted out with finding an ATM and coffee, then we spent the entire day exploring the best of Azerbaijan. The van was comfortable and large, and we stopped plenty of times for refreshments. He was knowledgeable about the culture and history of Azerbaijan and seemed to really enjoy showing us around. If I'm ever back in the area, I am definitely booking through Azar again!
