The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I had a good amount of time at each location and was always kept updated with the plan. Thank you for showing me such a beautiful part of the world.

Had a wonderful trip with Marcia as our Guide for the day. We were picked up from the hotel in a very comfortable vehicle that was dedicated to us for the entire day. The journey was smooth and our Guide kept us informed and entertained along the way. The entry to Gjirokaster Castle was smooth and quick and Marcia took the trouble to explain every little detail about the origins, history and important events along the way. Post the Castle, we went down to the Town Square, followed by the Cold War Bunker and the Historic House - the roads were under repair but the driver made sure we were dropped off as close as possible to the locations. We then went to the Blue Eye - a beautiful natural phenomenon (pro tip: look at it diagonally to get the best image). Following this, we were lucky enough to visit the Castle on the Hill at Ksamil to catch the sunset and the panoramic view of the City. Overall a wonderful experience, would 10/10 recommend this to everyone.

Although this tour required a minimum of two participants to go ahead, Alban and his team were only too happy to look after me when I showed up as the only guest. A drive through the beautiful Albanian countryside in a clean and comfy SUV culminated at the stone city. Here Marcia, the articulate and friendly guide, escorted me through the stunning castle, bazaar and traditional 17th century home. Then it was the genial Alban who drove me to The Blue Eye, a spectacular natural spring in the mountains before delivering me personally to my doorstep in Sarande. This is a highly professional team who go the extra mile for their customers. Highly recommended.

We reserved this tour an hour and a half on a Sunday morning before it was supposed to start. When we met with the tour group, he didn’t think it was possible to get it organized but said he would give it a shot. He was able to find a driver and a guide that provided us with a wonderful and informative tour. We couldn’t have been happier.

I only gave this tour 3 stars because of the deceptive description found in Viator. The description says "This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate." What it doesn't say is that the tour operator will create "your group" from multiple other bookings. Each group is up to 20 people (we had 16). Other web sites offering this tour have different descriptions. I do recommend the tour, if only because of the Patisserie we went to for lunch near the Skenduli House. Yes, Skenduli house, Lekuresi castle and the Blue Eye were great, but the patisserie was out of this world.

It was nice learning of the history of Albania as well as the history of the places we were visiting.

What a beautiful country. Our guide was amazing and I would highly recommend this tour. They got us back to the ship in plenty of time. Loved it!

What a great tour! We had Marcia as our tour guide, and she was absolutely lovely! We were glad to be going in October: from what we understood, it was the end of the season and this is why is was less busy. We were able to truly enjoy each of the sights. And while it was still very warm, it was comfortable for the walk at the Blue Eye. Maybe not ideal for elderly or people unable to go on long walk. My favorite sight was the Blue Eye, while my partner absolutely loved the Castle. We both enjoyed the Cold War tunnels and the House as well. 100% recommend!

The tour was amazing, we had Marcia as guide and she explained everything very clear and interesting! She gave us nice recommendations to eat in our free-time in Gjirokastra, which was really good. This daytrip was an amazing thing to do when you visit the South of Albania! The tour was really adapted to us and we were not rushed any time, so we were able to enjoy every single place. We were even able to see the beautiful sunset.

Jam packed day of the most beautiful sites with a warm and knowledgeable guide. Even though it rained heavily, our guide Marcía (sp?) was able to adapt our itinerary in a comfortable way. We started with the Blue Eye, with its strikingly blue water and friendly stray kittens. We then visited the Cold War tunnel and Gjirokastër. You will be charmed by the stone-tile roofs of the centuries old city. We had a lunch break and sampled the best of Gjirokastër, especially qifqi. Finally we finished with a tour of the fascinating Skenduli house. Even though the tour was almost 7 hours long, it was engaging and fun, making the day pass in an instant. Transport was convenient and comfortable, with hotel pick up available.

Met the tour operator at the dock. Drove over an hour to get to first stop.Gjrokastra.... a fortifificatioin built in the 12th century. After a tour of the castle we visited the town and world war two bunker use to protect the local politicians from harm and still to be viewed today. Without luinch or any stop for food we drove the the Blue Eye lagoon where a 2 thoudand meter walk led us to a less than impressive spring in the mountains. Being thouroughly exhasted we were returned to the port, hungry and exhausted, where we were able to get new feet. This trip is not for anyone beyond the age of about 60. Remember to bring a snack and water

We loved the trip and had a great time! Our guide was really nice and had a lot of detailed information and special insights, because she is from Gjirokastra. We were a small and nice group, it was possible to make wishes regarding some of the activities, e.g. how long we wanted to explore the bazar.

This tour was so great! Marcia was a wonderful host and the fact she is from Gjirokastra meant she had some really interesting insights to share. It was a small group so we had lots of opportunities to ask questions. The town is gorgeous and it was really nice to see somewhere so different from Sarande and the Blue Eye was stunning. I'd considered getting the bus to Gjirokastra but I would have missed out on all the information and history that Marcia was able to provide. I would definitely recommend this trip.

This trip was such a fun way to spend the day! The guide and driver were wonderful. The group was fun to spend the day with. It was the right balance of sightseeing but also having some free time to explore. I would definitely recommend this tour!

The whole trip was organized so well. Easy hotel pick up and flexible drop off. The driver was safe and competent. Our guide Marcia was INCREDIBLE. So clever and gave us lots of information... and answered lots of questions with detail and accuracy. The locations were incredible and I fell in love with the real Albania. What an amazing day - I highly highly recommend. Favourite day from holiday so far. Thank you Marcia.
