Terrible. Not user friendly at all. We could get it to work, the directions were terrible. I was so disappointed. We arrived late afternoon and thought it would be a great opportunity to get a tour of the battlefield and history in because we were only in town 1 night. We ended up driving in circles and not getting to tour.

It was great being able to take our time and see everything we wanted to see. The guide was great giving us enough info. Would be nice to be able to ask questions during the tour though, even if ai answered. I would def. Do this again at another location, we had lots of fun and it was very informative.

Great way to see Gettysburg without having to walk a lot. We enjoyed it. There were a few times where the GPS was difficult to follow but in general, very helpful.

Educational tour. Nice to go at own pace. Good for all ages. Easy way to see the battlefield with an 8 year old.

This app was very helpful! I enjoyed being able to take our time and listen to the history while driving! This is a must have!

I ordered this self guided tour thru Trip Advisor. I understood I needed an app to support the download. I installed the app and then began downloading the tour to the app. That’s where things went sideways. The download froze at 28% then I received a message telling me that the download failed and to call customer support. I did that and reached a “tech”, obviously in some third world country, with kids in the background and sketchy English language skills. After several minutes of trying to communicate with her and reaching the point of total frustration I requested a refund at which time I would just move on. She refused and quickly cut me off. I called back and reached a different support person that also refused to refund the purchase. At that point we went about our day. Later that day since I had made the purchase using PayPal I filled a claim with them. Let’s just say I will not go through any Trip Advisor affiliated companies after that experience.

Do not visit without downloading Action Tour Guide App follow all instructions before going. Amazing narratives along way and at each site. Stop at visitors center special thanks to stories and information there. Do Not hire anyone or ride bus through you will regret it. This was by far the most amazing experience. Humbled. We began at Gettysburg visitor information right next to McPherson barn on Reynolds ave which is #1 on the app tour.. pick up a MAP at ctr Enjoy!!

The app directions were easy to follow and very informative and appropriate related to important topics and stops. Very well done!

Due to several area closures, we were unable to see about half of the tour. One loop under construction and another closed due to police scene. We were unable to hear the stories related to those areas. The areas we were able to see were great!

Terrible experience. Not a user friendly app. After paying we couldn't make it work. Had to call for customer service assistance. They called back immediately, but there was a poor connection and the representative had such a thick accent that she was difficult to understand. We asked her to repeat instructions several times. She told us we had to download a second app to make it work. It never did work and we finally gave up. The tour guide at the Gettysburg National cemetery told us we could download the National Park Setvice audio tour app for free. We don’t recommend.

DOWNLOAD THE APP PRIOR TO ARRIVAL!! This ensures that you won’t have any trouble using it when at the physical site. The app is great. It gives directions that are impossible to mess up. If you drive 20-25 mph you will travel at a speed where u can hear the stories without it cutting off. The stories are all location-based…. If you drive outside of the zone and into the next zone l, it’ll cut off and start the next zone’s story. We were on a time schedule and we didn’t have much time to explore the whole battleground but we drove to areas we wanted to visit and skipped over a few monuments. It’s great for learning and getting information that you wouldn’t otherwise learn. The story about the dog “Sallie” was my wife’s favorite. For kids, I could see it getting boring as it’s literally just fields and monuments spread out along the roads. For $15, this self guided tour is totally worth it. Move at your pace… no crowded buses and struggling to hear some guide. Enjoy!

Had some time to kill before my plane home. I had some trouble finding the start. But once I did and got the hang of the process I had a blast (sshh don’t tell my husband cuz I doing normally dig “history”)! It’s amazing to still see so much open land to imagine!

Getting started was difficult Make sure you review the tutorial before you start. Being on the battlefield. Seeing it from both sides gives a unique perspectove

I enjoyed the self guided driving tour very much. It is fairly easy to follow and the stories are interesting. The only thing I would suggest is more stories and info about the various homes and the people who lived (and died) in the war. The best thing about it is you can always redo any parts you want and/or split the tour into a few days. It is easy to take breaks and rejoin the tour at any time.

The views were amazing! It was nice to be able to go at your own pace, stop where you want, and skip what you don’t want to do! It was very easy to follow and it even had road signs to help you along, even though you really don’t need them. The tour is very thorough and you learn a lot. I would definitely recommend this over the bus tour!

We were able to go at our own pace. It always knew were we where and started the tour right back up.

The audio tour was awesome! Definitely worth it. Very easy directions to follow too. It took us places we didn't realize we missed just driving around on our own.

Great way to see the Gettysburg battle fields at your own pace. We had a few minor glitches following the route , but this really wasn’t a problem since we going at slow speed in order to see the various sites.

This self guided tour was absolutely brilliant! GPS coordinated with the monuments, and historical account of the battle. Start the tour at your convenience. I would highly recommend this!

The information provided was very good. The main problem with this tour is likely temporary. There is a considerable amount of construction and detours around the little round top area, which made the directions very difficult to follow. We missed significant portions of the tour towards the end because of this. The program was not helpful in accommodating the detours.
