Very interesting tour. Knowledgeable guide. Great English spoken. Enjoyed. Both children aged 13 & 9 found it exciting. Would recommend.

An excellent hour spent with a very knowledgeable guide. Quite eerie seeing the kids toys and imagining the thousand gathering during air raids. The height of some of the tunnels is astounding.

We had David as our guide, he had very clear and fluent English. Clearly passionate and dedicated to the topic. Answered all of our questions (which were a lot!). Cannot recommend it enough! Amazing experience!

Firstly, check your tickets as to which entrance you are supposed to start the tour … there are more than one and it’s a 10-15 min walk to find the correct entrance if you start at the wrong one. Also be aware, the entrances are not particularly easy to find. Having said that, this was one of the most interesting experiences I’ve ever had. The extensive series of tunnels which have been re-purposed over a number of centuries are breathtaking. The history surrounding each of these periods was fascinating, particularly the use of the tunnels as bomb shelters during WW2. Our English speaking guide was informative, engaging and humorous. It’s amazing that the re-imagining of the tunnels as a tourist attraction has only been realised in the last 15 years. Some of the items seen in the tunnels from more recent times, essentially dumped cars and motorcycles from the 1950s, provide an almost post-apocalyptic theatre. Well worth seeing.

Really informative tour at a good pace about the underground tunnels in Naples. Not good for people who might struggle with steep stairs

This was a very interesting experience and it was enjoyable to learn about the history of this unique place. David was our guide and he was very clear and informative. It was just the right length. Also-if you have trouble with uneven surfaces be careful with this one. Walking in Naples is almost always on uneven surfaces, but being in the dark makes it more difficult.

Great tour guide was very informative, great explanation of the tunnels. Steep steps were a bit difficult going down but we came out at another exit, so only climbed once.

Fascinating tour with lots of information about the tunnels under Naples - when they were built how they were built why they were built and how they were used. Learned a lot of history - much easier to understand when you are actually in the tunnels.

Although we enjoyed the experience inside the tunnels it was very difficult to understand our guide. She spoke too fast and the echo in the tunnel made it even more difficult. Headsets would of made this tour!

A tunnel commissioned by the king by enslaving the hapless workers who in 3 years bring about a huge underground architectural marvel with just some bare hands n chiesels n hammers is then used in the WW2 as a Bomb bunker with smart alert mechanisms such as flickering of the lights along with the sirens going off. The modern world as usual doesn't value such historical wonders n used it as a landfill till thankfully the wonderful organisation behind restoration of such gifts, showed us the magic. I don't remember the name of the tour guide ( i think Martina) , but she was brilliant, the tunnel also has some impounded cars n vespas. Open only on weekends, not to be missed.

We booked the standard tour online, and the check-in procedure was smooth. The tour really helped us to understand Naples a bit better. Our guide was amazing. Her English was amazing. She spoke loud and clear and managed to avoid the many other groups. Great experience to see how this tunnel was used during the past 400 years. Kudos to the people who brought this to life. For me, this was the highlight in Naples.

What an interesting and intriguing experience. The tour started with taking the stairs that went right down 27 meters underground. Roberto was fantastic while explaining history of the tunnels right from their origins, how they were used in WWII as well as air bomb shelters , cars and Vespas from the period.

We booked the Standard tour from the entrance near Piazza del Plebisito. Entrance is down a side lane, with signage on the main street. Mega large group, which was split into two, claiming maximum size of 20 persons. Rubbish! Our and other groups we passed going other way were around 30 people. Proximity at times to other groups made it difficult to hear the guide, who was fine and gave time for questions. Lots of steps down at beginning, with few tunnels and large open caverns, but excludes any with water.

The tour was very interesting and informative. Our guide David told us everything we needed to know and more. His english was really good and he was happy to answer any question we had. We took the standard route and for it's one hour length it was really well presented. I will most definitely come back to check the other ones too.

They have done a great job of making this attraction from what was a rubbish dump. Good value for money. No one should miss it. A little harder to find the entrance than expected but not too bad. Exiting at a different point is completely understandable, but we ended up losing out bearing at the other end.
