I booked with SLPD for our two week trip around Sri Lanka in January 24. I first made contact about a month out and Fazool helped me to determine the best option for our trip. He was very communicative and provided fast and clear responses. In the end we chose to take the same driver for the whole trip, which turned out to be the ideal option. We were met at the airport by Ifthika, our driver for the next two weeks. The car was a mid-size Toyota which looked pretty new and was very clean and comfortable. Ifthika was great, he was very responsive throughout and always turned up on time as agreed (over WhatsApp), often with a freshly washed car! He made many great suggestions along the route (several of which we took up), but was not pushy if we did not fancy something. Most importantly his driving skills are exceptional. For those of you that have driven (or been driven) around Sri Lanka it is not for the faint hearted, so having an experienced driver at the wheel helped us feel safe. Thanks to Fazool and particularly Ifthika, for helping to make our trip around Sri Lanka so special. Would highly recommend.

We hired Dila to take myself, husband and 14month son around Sri Lanka. We landed early but he was waiting for us at the airport. Always punctual, polite, friendly. He has such fantastic knowledgable of the country, making suggestions to suit all 3 of us. (But happy to let us sleep as well) He was great with our son. Can’t recommend him enough. Where do I click to give these guys six stars? Shiyan at the office and Chinthaka at the steering wheel were both very helpful, professional and kind. We have booked a 9-seater Toyota with private driver for six days on a route of our own choice for our group of seven adults. The service was excellent: Chinthaka was always on time and we had the most amazing time going on our adventures but knowing that he'll be there to pick us up at the end. Quite simply, our driver Ishak was THE BEST! He was funny, kind and punctual. We wouldn’t have had such a great trip without our 5 days without him. Wonderful company and would be sure to use again next time we are in Sri Lanka.

We were very lucky to get Dila as our driver. We spent 9 days with him and he accommodated and took care of us very well. He was very early and punctual for all the times we set and in fact, was always patient with us when we were running late. He kept the car very clean everyday despite us coming back with sandy shoes from the safari or the temple grounds. Dila gave us ideas and highlighted some must-dos and brought us to local insider restaurants that did not disappoint. He was always very polite and respectful of us at all times. I would very gladly recommend my friends and family visiting Sri Lanka to utilize his service. When I return to Sri Lanka again I would also be glad to have him as my driver and companion. Our trip to Sri Lanka would not of been the same if we hadn't met Upal. He arrived early to pick us up on our first day and from then on his time keeping was impeccable. He also takes great pride in his car and it was always clean and tidy. We had a rough idea of the places we wanted to visit but Upal made these experiences extra special by telling us the times we needed to be there, exactly where to stand and what to look out for. We had Upul as our driver for a week around south Sri-Lanka for our honeymoon and from the welcoming and friendly greeting we got at the airport, we knew we’d be in good hands. Upul became like a friend to us and more than a driver - he got us safely from place to place but also told us about history, local culture and much more. We appreciated his knowledge and tips to make our trip even better. His time keeping was excellent - always early and waiting for us, with an umbrella if needed! Some drivers in Sri-Lanka (the buses!!!) are very dangerous, but Upul was extremely safe and skilled when it came to driving and knew every road and destination. Upul literally knows everyone and every place. Like many others have said, he sorted us front row tickets to the Kandy dance performance and got us front of the line for the Sacred Tooth Relic. He also took us to an AMAZING Ayurvedic Spice Garden where we had a private tour followed by an epic massage using all the locally produced products. Upul had a load of different ideas and things he could show us which we were grateful for. So if you only have an idea of where you want to be on what day then Upul will do the rest, down to the minute. He's the master planner! He was always on time and actually early by 10mins every day. His driving was safe and when my fiance got a little car sick in the mountain roads he made sure he slowed right down and took every turn gently all day and kept asking if she was feeling better. Me and my partner hired a driver for one week and it was the best decision to use this company! Our driver Dilan was always very friendly and polite, always on time if not early to pick us up. Always smiling and neat. He respected our privacy, too. We learned a lot from Dilan about Sri Lanka and it's culture. Irshad, our driver/tour guy is the nicest and I definitely am going to miss him. He welcomed me at the airport, and the next day I went with him to pick my friends up and from that first moment he was friendly and warm. He was so flexible according to our needs, plans and timings. Knows everything abt his country, speaks good English, very polite and also a careful driver. Never pushed us or hurry us along. We spend most of our time in his car and it was all laughter and fun and comfort. I appreciate the hard work he does and highly recommend him. Had the best time in Sri Lanka largely due to our driver Upul. My friend and I had a vague itinerary set and Upul filled it with amazing stops and recommendations. He was able to get us the best seats at the Kandy dance performance, first in line to see the tooth relic, window seats on the full train ride from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, took us on a beautiful sunrise hike, always had an umbrella ready for us when it started to rain, and got us a great deal on our perfect hotel stay at Mirissa beach. He’s so nice, friendly, accommodating, and safely got us to all our destinations with great stops along the way. The best experience all around! Our driver named Dilan has been an absolute pleasure to have while exceeding our service expectations. He was always on time, drove safely, kept the car clean, dressed fresh every day, had a great ‘can do’ attitude, had all the insider’s knowledge and was treating us to Sri Lankan stories, trivia, tips and advice. He has been an invaluable help during our time in Sri Lanka and while recommending a lot, we never felt he was trying to sell us something— the choice was always ours and he was very respectful of our itinerary and wishes. He also respected our privacy and only joined us when invited to do so. In the car he gave us his own pillow so that we can have a more comfortable sleep in the car while transferring from city to city which we thought was very kind. He also had umbrellas for when it was raining and bottles of water when we first arrived. Can not recommend this driver enough— an honest, kind and open-hearted person and a definition of an authentic, friendly Sri Lankan spirit. Ask for Dilan and you won’t be disappointed.

I travelled with Sri Lanka Private Driver on 8 August 19 from Dondangoda to Ella (approx. 5 hour trip). Communication leading up the the trip was great and price was very fair. The driver was very punctual, friendly and a great guide. He pointed things out to me on our trip and insights from a local which I loved. We even stopped to pick a cinnamon leaf off a plant near the road. Car was in fantastic condition and the 5 hour trip went quickly with friendly conversation. I am planning to use them again on the next leg of my trip from Ella to Nuwara Eliyah to Kandy and later from Kandy to Sigiriya. Highly recommended
